I am 31 years old and have suffered with Acne since I was 15. I was recently put on Accutane and when I went off broke out like crazy. Now on Minocycline and Ziana at night. Hoping the B5 is the cure. I will keep everybody posted. Thoughts appreciated?

Pros:

I did see an improvement in my skin by taking about 3-5g a day. been taking it for like about 10 days.

Cons:

you will feel easy hungry if you didn't take enough food before u take the pills

Vitamin B5 isn't a miracle pill. You need plenty of water and enough rest to let your body immune system to do the rest.

Pros:

Skin is much less oily. Complexion has improved and scarring less visible.

Cons:

Not available in South Africa

I've been using SkinB5 which I found on the web. Very happy with the result, considering I had tried other products like Proactiv, Clearasil with no success. Decided to give vitamin b5 a try after reading a medical study by Dr Leung. I give SkinB5 a big thumbs up!!!!

Pros:

Less deep cysts, Less oily + smaller pores. Heaps of energy!

Cons:

No nasty side effects, just the uncertainty of taking mega doses freaks me out!

Hi I am 22 and I have suffered acne since I was 13. I've tried nearly every product on the market. Been on tropical creams +differn from the dr which never helped , just caused my skin to be dry and flakey. It all just gets a bit frustrating after awhile and the search for some relief never seems to end. Was about to go on diane35, but decided to give one more shot at something less internally dangerous and its been the best decision so far!!! Taking 4g b5 tablets cut into 3 doses morning, noon and night with food( thats important or you will be rushing to the toilet), i crush my noon dose into powder form and mix it with juice for better absorption. I also have boitin 150mg zinc a mult b vitamin tablet 1000mg flaxseed oil wash my face with green french clay and moisturize with 100% aloe vera gel:)

So far makes my face less oily

Cons:

Ok so i have suffered from acne since i was 13yrs of age and now 26. My acne is not the worse in the world but it bothers me (especially when people make comments on it). Ive tryed many things for it, antibiotics, pro active, ect. I was searching in the internet about acne cures and B5 came up.. And ive read so many good reviews about it that i decided to try it.. This is my 6 day on it and by the 3rd day i notice that my oily skin have reduced about 75%.. Im still getting break outs but not anything out of the ordinary but ive read that it takes a few months to actually work so fingers crossed.. Im not mega dosing cuz im scared about the side effects. I started with 1 500mg from GMC and by day 5 i went up to 1g.. I take one with my lunch and a multivitamin and the other with my dinner with a b-complex.. So far so good. I will keep updating for new results..

Pros:

Definitely helped me.

Cons:

B5 works, sort of, but its a remedy not a cure.

Try the following instead: Give up cows milk (for info on this do a search on acne + milk on the internet). I've given up cows milk and seen a massive improvement (although to be fair I used to drink a lot of milk). Also cut back on sugar as much as possible. You've heard this before - but the important thing is the total sugar you eat - from any source - not only mars bars and ice cream. Some fruit smoothies for example contain 25% sugar & even carrot juice is apparently high in sugars. Both of these are supposed to be good for you but I am totally/100% convinced that high sugar intake aggravates acne. Also some supplements possibly help - MSM (in high doses), evening primrose oil & starflower oil.

Pros:

try using acnezine

Cons:

a lttle expensive but well worth it

its just one pill a day works extremely fast with no side effects and best of all once you've taken it for a few months you can come off of it and you wont have any break outs, unlike vitamin b5 were you have to keep taking it to see the rsults and take stupid amount of pills.
