Pros:

Uhhh?

Cons:

Expensive. Lots of pills. Useless

I'd avoid vilatae like the plague, i spent so much money on this product which i feel is advertised alot like diet pills. False promises are made, i even showed my derm this product and she was baffled. It also screwed my bowels up. i wont go into details

I've been using vitamin B5 powder for 3 months. Overall very happy, will keep you updated.

Pros:

Made my pores a lot smaller very rapidly.

Cons:

None so far.

I have been taking SkinB5 for just under 2 weeks. There has been no noticeable difference so far, but I understand that optimal results often require up to 2 months, so I will keep going with it. However, SkinB5 claims that a tub will last 20 days. I have already gone through 1 and a half tubs in 12 days? I have followed the instructions carefully, 3 x 5g scoops of powder daily. In theory, that ought to make sense, 15g a day x 20 = 300g which is quoted on the tub. All I can think is that the scoop they include 'for your convenience' actually takes more than the 5g, so you use more of the powder a lot faster, and hence go out and buy more of the stuff. I wouldn't mind paying £100 a week if I knew for sure it would keep me acne free, but I'm annoyed about SkinB5 at the moment. I will do some measuring!

Pros:

Easy to get, no prescription required, RELATIVELY low-cost

Cons:

Didn't work! Made skin around lips and eyes dry, itchy and peel but rest of face was still an oil spill.

I wanted so much for this to work for me, after doing a lot of research and determining it seemed to work so well for everyone else. I was taking the time-release 500mg pills from [link removed] and followed their recommended dosage for the first two weeks. When I still saw absolutely no results (in fact my skin seemed to get worse and I got acne in strange places I'd never had it before, like my neck and shoulders) I upped the dosage on my own to 10g/day which is WAY too many pills and also, at this rate, the product becomes almost as expensive as Accutane. Another 2 weeks and STILL no results. The only effect I've noticed is that my lips and the skin around my lips are very dry, chapped, itchy and irritated. My hair is also very dry and brittle and thinning. But my face is just as oily as ever and I continue to break out regularly. I wish this had worked for me.

For me Vit B5 has seemed to clear up my forehead near enough to clear, which I think is def some improvement...however, I have uncontrollable acne on my cheeks now and it doesnt seem to stop I never had this amount of acne on my cheeks before, hope soon it will dry out, I dont take the high doses of Vit B5 of 20 tabs a day as for some reason it makes it worse and it lessens as soon as i stop taking a high dose so i stick to 10 caps a day...also I think you should drink at least 1.5 litres of water especially when taking the vit B5 as it helps flush it out better and is good for the skin also.

Pros:

clears up skin great

Cons:

slight hassle

This stuff worked well for me- cleared up my acne completely in a couple weeks. But, i didnt realize that it was the B5 that was doin it, because i only took a few pills a day, so i stopped it. THen i broke out again. realizing that it was the miracle B5 that did that, i started taking it again, and have gotten virtually no new break outs since that intial one after the B5- in a week or so ill be completely clear and this time ill stick to the B5. good luck

Pros:

Miracle cure (for me). I've used many different products/prescriptions over the years, and nothing ever worked this well. I took 2 grams/day the first couple months, then 3 grams/day for the last 6-7 months (half in the morning, half at night). It completely cleared up my acne, which was mainly all over my back. I still have scars on my back, but the acne is gone, for the first time in 15 years. Very cheap.

Cons:

Need to remember to take pills twice a day, but this is not as big an issue as I though at first. For me it's 3 pills in the am, 3 in the pm.

It worked for me. My acne, especially on my back, is completely clear. I was worried it wouldn't work at first (as nothing else ever has), and I was worried about the hair loss as some people have mentioned, but I didn't see any. This is after 7 months on 3 grams/day (and 2 months on 2 grams/day before that). It's very cheap; check out the 3 pack on Amazon: [link removed] luck!

Pros:

Less oil hence less acne
absolutely no back acne

Cons:

Takes time to start working.

Remember it takes time more than a month, don't use time release they don't seem to work. Don't take other b vitamins they mess with the b5 effects.

Cons:

must be consistent and take the pills and must drink at least 8 glasses of good filtered tap water daily

great stuff- might have to #2 a lot more often

Pros:

Hey! I started dosage of 4 grams per day about a week ago and have noticed a decrease in oil.

Cons:

Haven't noticed a difference in breakout, but it has only been a week.

I have persistent jawline acne that is starting to scar. I have done antibiotics, several rounds of accutane, topicals both prescription and over the counter. I am hoping this will help with the nodules on my chin. I have heard birth control can help though and that is my next step.
