Pros:

This is the only remedy that worked for me.. after 15 YEARS of trying.

Cons:

None.

I can't believe dermatologist ignore Pantothenic Acid (B5) as a cure for acne SHAME ON THEM for peddling for the drug companies. I finally heard about this product thru these forums. My skin was always like an oil-slick and the Pantothenic Acid clear it up completely!! I had to start by taking about 20 pills a day for 3 months (throughout the day) but totally worth it. My confidence level has increased 100-fold. TRY IT.

Pros:

- Skin less oily
- Breakouts much less

Cons:

- Waiting 8 for my package to arrive. Package comes from Australia.

Overall very happy! After doing some reading on Vitamin B5 I decided to give SkinB5 a try. SkinB5 requires 3 dosages a day and within 3-4 weeks I started noticing good results. Well worth a try as I've tried every product out there and this has been the best so far.

Pros:

It works!

Cons:

diarrhea the first few days, high dosage, cost, and potential long term side effects to your health.

I took it with a B-complex a year ago and it really cleared my acne. but then I stopped after 3 months because I was scared of what it could do to my health in the long term. Although the vitamin is water soluble. If you just logically thinking about it, too much of anything is bad for you. My pimples eventually came back. I have severe acne and have tried everything short of accutane. So after realizing that I wasn't able to go out with friends because of how I felt about myself, I decided to give B5 another try. This time I took 8 grams (4 pills 4 X a day) with 1 b-complex in the morning and a multi-vit at night. i also used tretinoin cream .05% every night or every other night for 4 months. Then I started to reduce my B5 to a mantaince levle. I am now I 5 grams (5 pills 2 X a day)with the complex and multi-vit. I still break out a little before my periods, and have a few pimples here and there. but I'm happy and I'm not takeing as much B5.

Pros:

Less oil, smaller pores

Cons:

Breakouts seem to have gotten worse.

Like the fact that skin is less oily, but breadouts have increased, are bigger and painful. I have not had any real side effects except for the increased breakouts. Am going to speak with dermatologist this week. Am likely to ask about returning to use of Accutane. Have been on it two other times in my 20's and loved it. Had hoped Vilantae would work, but not so sure. Expensive yes but not as expensive as Accutane and less side effects than Accutane. But it is worth the try.

Pros:

face is less oily, fewer breakouts

Cons:

diarrhea

I have been using SkinB5 for only a few days but already see an improvement. My skin is less oily and I have not had any new pimples since starting. After reading some of the other reviews, I'm a little nervous b/c I don't want it to lose its affect, this is actually working!! Hopefullly, the longer I use it, my existing pimples will go away. We'll see. It's worth a try.

Pros:

It works better than anything else I have tried

Cons:

It may lose its effectiveness after using it for a while. Maybe it's just my system begin to metabolize it faster?

It was great!!! I used it for about 8 months and things were getting better, but all the sudden outta blue, I get lots of breakouts. I am not sure what goes wrong. I started with 8g break it into 4 times a day and within 6 months I got it reduced to 6 g since my acnes were getting better. Now I am back on 8 g, if things dont get any better I will prob crank it up to 10g. This is frustrating. I thought things were going in right direction and my face was going to be completely clean by the summer time. Darn!!! Did anyone else experience the same problem of B5 losing its effectiveness? I also take other supplments - B complex, FishOil, Multi Vitamin, and Zinc. Btw, what's wrong with all these dermatologies out there? Arent they supposed to get this figured out? What's all the schooling for?

Pros:

Much clearer skin, relatively cheap, no side affects

Cons:

none

I have been taking it for a week and my skin is so much clearer. I was dubious about trying B5 because the dose that people were reccommending was around 20g meaning i would have to take 40 tablets a day. However, i have been taking 2g a day and it is a godsend. Its cleared my skin almost completely and there are no side affects for me. Please dont dismiss this product after hearing bad reviews, at least try it for 10 days and even at a small dose you should see dramatic results.

Pros:

Skin is much less oily. Complexion has improved and scarring less visible.

Cons:

Not available in South Africa

I've been using SkinB5 which I found on the web. Very happy with the result, considering I had tried other products like Proactiv, Clearasil with no success. Decided to give vitamin b5 a try after reading a medical study by Dr Leung. I give SkinB5 a big thumbs up!!!!
