Pros:

It seems to be working! I have had no side effects yet!!!

Cons:

My face is breaking out worse. It tastes horrible but its worth is for clear skin

I have been taking the vitamin b5 powder for about a week and a half. I have actually been breaking out more but it finally seems like its working. It makes sense if you break out in the beginning cause its taking all the bad stuff out. I have been taking about 7 grams a day. I actually mixed the powder and some water and apply it to my face as an ointment. It seems to really soothe it! Ill keep you updated!

Pros:

Quick, easy and it works!

Cons:

None

Into my 6th week of taking SkinB5 tablets and the results have been much better than expected. I was taking a different B5 brand for about 2 years, but I got sick of taking 20 pills a day, so I decided to try, SkinB5's Time Release Tablets. The results have blown me away. A must try for every person with stubborn acne!

Pros:

Regulates oily skin overnight.

Cons:

You have to take a lot of pills

I took 4 B5 capsules and 1 vitamin A and I could see a noticeable difference in the oiliness of my skin the very next day. I have VERY oily skin. So bad that I my face would look wet all day long. So it was very easy to notice the difference. I actually have a habit of wiping my face to remove the oil, and I went to do that yesterday and noticed that there was no oil there. My husband even noticed the difference. My goal is to control the oiliness, not to cure acne. I am currently using Retin-A at night and Duac benzoyyl peroxide cream in the morning and it controls my acne pretty well. But they did nothing for the oiliness. Bottom line, B5 works!!!

Pros:

Works GREAT for sufferers of oily skin. works like Accutane only without side effects.

Cons:

Taking alot of pills everyday.

I love my skin now! I feel normal and enjoy puting a little make-up on and am no longer embarassed to be out in public. My pores are noticablly smaller and I am no longer dripping oil! My skin looks good all day without having to wash it over and over to feel clean. I had used EVERYTHING else. If I lower my dosage too much, I will start breaking out, but definitely not worse than before. I am in my 40s. It did not work for my teen age son, he still broke out, but he doesn't have oily skin. Sarsparilla helps him(helps control those teen boy hormones)

Pros:

try using acnezine

Cons:

a lttle expensive but well worth it

its just one pill a day works extremely fast with no side effects and best of all once you've taken it for a few months you can come off of it and you wont have any break outs, unlike vitamin b5 were you have to keep taking it to see the rsults and take stupid amount of pills.

Pros:

Cheap,
Works as long as you use it

Cons:

Terrible breakouts once you stop

It works when you completely stick to it. But once you stop using B5 you could end up having acne which would be worse then what you had before starting to take B5. I used it and regret my decision. It was a waste of time and money. So I would advice, why not go for a non brand B5 from some reputable company which you could also find online and more effective. I feel murad would be a better option for non branded vitamin B5.

Pros:

...Seems to be something worthwhile to try... The pharmacist said all adults need 5 mg of of b5 a day but to use 500 to 1000 mg is okay as it is water soluble, meaning we will just urinate it out. As well, it takes larger amounts to toxify the body..

Cons:

Hopefully it will work as I have been told it is the closest thing to accutane but on a more natural level, of course.

For those who are still suffering from acne, try to make healthy choices about your diet. As well, go to the health food store and start buying detox sys, ie: liver detox as it can lead to external eruptions and perhaps intaking greens may help i.e: Vital Greens. Also, another must is Silicea Gel and Oil of Oregano. Do some online searches on it and you will see how beneficial it is to our skin and over all health.. I hope this has helped someone out there...All the best...

Pros:

less oily skin, slightly smaller pores

Cons:

Cost, the possibility of it stop working after 1 or 2 years

I have mild acne (3 to 5 spots at a time) I took 10g a day for over a month and noticed that my face was producing less oil but i was still getting spots. I also continued with the regimen at the same time. I also read lots of posts from people who have been on this drug for some time and many of them said that after a year or two it just stopped working; sometimes making their acne worst than before they started taking it. This worried me so i have slowly been taking less and less and hope to just take 2g a day.
