Pros:

Didn't take long for me to see the results. Skin felt less oily, and great reduction in pimples.

Cons:

A little pricey, but still worth it to me!

Bottom line is I had tried other products, and I find that this works the best. I don't mind taking the pills everyday and have had no side effects for the medication at all. I feel more confident and will continue taking them. Just wondering how many pills I will end up taking (this is my third month, so I will have a little trial and error next month).

Pros:

Cheap & easy

Cons:

Possible side-effects

Worked very well for me. My advice to anyone with persistent acne is give it a try, however:- 1) I used a non-brand Vitamin B5 bought over the internet from a reputable site. It worked for me. Why waste money on an expensive brand. 2) Ignore all the advice and find your own dosage-level. Start on 1g (two tabs) per day for a couple of days and see what happens. I settled at 2g per day. Two tabs in the morning & two at night. 3) If B5 works for you your skin will be much less greasy and more stable - so adjust your washing regimen accordingly. Do not allow your skin to become too dry. If necessary give up soap & just use hot water to wash your face. Generally you must ignore everyone except me and find what works for you - unfortunately this can take weeks/months of trial-and-error.

Pros:

less oil and breakouts

Cons:

popping lots of pills and trips to the bathroom

i have been taking b5 with a multivitamin for about a month now and i have noticed a continual improvement in my skin. my breakouts have not only gotten smaller in size but fewer in number as well(A LOT FEWER!). my skin is also less oily. i take 5g morning noon and night. will definitely continue taking b5 and will hopefully continue seeing improvement.

Pros:

Noticed that pores were smaller, skin was less oily and less spots. Before B5 i would have five spots at a time and B5 reduced them to 1 at a time.

Cons:

Missed one day and had a break out which i have to say worries me. How long will i have to take it for?? Haven't really noticed many side effects apart from a few extra visits to the toilet.

I started off slowly with just 10g and day then after a week I started 20g a day. I started to see results after 2 weeks but after a month i missed a day and had an outbreak a week after. I'm very scared to stop taking B5 now. I think that you will be taking a risk with this but like with everything there will be one thing that works for you. Maybe this will be it!

Pros:

It works, but you have to stick to it.

Cons:

If you stop you'll break out big time!!!!!!! Really really bad! And its too expensive..

I have tried b5 for about months, and then I finally got so sick of taking too many pills, and I stopped taking it. And guess what!!! My skin turned horrible...a lot worse than how it was before I started B5. I so regret taking b5. Waste of money!! But, if you can afford to stick to it..then yeah but I don't know what the side effects will be for long term use. So its your choice. I'd say, look out for other solutions out there. My acne isn't all that bad now, I just simply eliminated oil, sugar and milk from my diet. And I tried to reduce stress. My still get zits here and there. But not too bad. SO MY ADVICE>>> STAY AWAYY FROM B5!!!!!!!!

Pros:

I started taking this product about 9 Months ago, and I have not had a single pimple on my skin in months. My skin cleared up the first month, after taking 20 pills a day.

Cons:

The product is great, but the marks from previous breakouts can take months to clear.

If you have acne and want pure clear skin, this is the product for you. I get my Pantothenic Acid from GNC. You should also wash your face with a good benzoyl peroxide the first couple of months. Good luck to everyone, and just be patient with it!

Pros:

i just started taking it a few days ago so im not sure yet..

Cons:

seems like my skins breaking out still, not any worse basically the same/maybe a little less...i know it takes time for everything that was clogged in you're pores to unclog..so im not giving up.

I really really hope that taking Vitamin B5 works!!Ive been taking 4-5 grams to start off..bought it from GNC. I don't have really oily skin but i break out alot..not horribly but enough for me not to want to go out..so hopefully this is my cure!! I hear so many good things so i really hope this works for me!!!!! cross your fingers.

Pros:

I've tried everything from prescription meds & topicals to OTC topicals. Nothing worked! B5 cleared my skin completely as in no more pimples after 1 month. Mild breakout at first but be patient.

Cons:

lots of pills to pop and sooo much water

Be patient and stick with it! I have the most complicated skin and its the only thing that has worked for me over the past 16 years of my life. You must continue b/c I didn't and the acne gradually came back... Keep it in your regimen like a vitamin b/c research shows that acne sufferers lack this vitamin.

Pros:

Really Does work, and it worked pretty fast for me too.

Cons:

Ive only been taking it for like 5 days and im sh*tting out water every day. Not to mention my stomach aches and feels like I have stomach flu or somethingn

A good alternative to topical prescriptions during the winter time. Or if you have really bad side effects to topical prescriptions.
