Cystic Acne, OMG!!
After I read about how ACV can help cystic acne, I went and washed my face. I applied the ACV diluted with water last using a q-tip on 3 cystic pimples. A few minutes later they turned to heads and popped SO easily. No, they didn't pop..they exploded. Literally! It was so disgusting but I was really happy that they were finally gone in less than 5 minutes. I also had one of those under skin pimples for about 3 days. I put ACV on it the 3rd day and it when I woke up the next morning, it turned to a while head.

rickywood 1976 are you asking about will the acv help for acne? Yes, it should help those areas just like it does for face. Be sure to dilute it 2:1 and not wear it in the sun because the vit C in it will damage your skin.

Miracle Product
Braggs Organic Apple Cider Vinegar cured my acne around a year ago. I used a 2:1 ratio of vinegar to water and worked up to undiluted. I also drank 2 tablespoons a day, diluted with lots of water. Over the next few months I got a bit cocky with my skincare and started playing around with my cleansers and moisturisers etc. Within 4 months my acne was returning in the form of little bumps under my skin. Thinking it was an allergic reaction I was prescribed a moisturising cream and told to wait it out, of course it got progressively worse, I couldn't tell you what possessed me not to just start using the ACV again but I didn't. I went back to the doctor and I was prescribed Differin 0.1% which proceeded to "purge" my skin to the point where my acne was the most severe it has ever been. My face was covered in closed comedones, blackheads and whiteheads. Eventually I quit using the Differin because my acne had become too painful. I went back to the doctor and picked up some Duac to try to calm this horrific breakout. I am now at a point where my skin is on the way to being better. Thanks in part to Duac and in part to Apple Cider Vinegar, which I have begun to use, diluted, in my skincare routine and began ingesting 2 table spoons a day. If it cured me before it can do it again! And my god, I will never stop using this stuff. Please, please be careful with your skincare routine, if it works? DON'T mess with it!

Apple Cider Vinegar
I've suffered from acne since I was 10, and I have tried almost anything from home remedies to over-the-counter and drugstore products to clear up my skin without great results. My skin has been a lot better through the past 12 years, probably due to hormone changes, but I still fight with a lot of blackheads and small to medium sized spots. So when I heard about using vinegar, apple cider in this case, i thought "what the heck, I have nothing to lose". And boy, was I surprised! I've been using it as a toner/treatment for about two weeks now, and I do not have a single spot. I still have some blackheads, but I think it takes a lot longer to clear my skin from those bastards. I've been diluting the vinegar with water because undiluted vinegar is still a bit too rough for my skin. The smell is not very pleasant, but it's worth it. It goes away after a few minutes. It makes my face super soft, and for some reason, moisturized. This stuff is liquid magic! I won't buy another toner as long as I've got vinegar as my life savior. It has even minimized my pores and I hope that it will do something about my scars as well. This is definitely the best thing I've tried yet!

Pros:

Cheap
No harsh chemicals
Works well and even helps with scarring

Cons:

None really

I've tried absolutely everything to cure or at least control my acne in the last 10 years. Prescriptions, OTC products, expensive OTC products, acutane, even UT (Don't ask why I tried that before this.) ACV has worked extremely well for me in the last two weeks. It took some time to really see results, but I would rather have delayed, sustainable results, than some over the night cure that isn't really good for my skin in the long run. It works, because it's a natural antiseptic, and when diluted with a little water, it's supposed to balance the skin's pH. After years of various types of txs, it makes sense that my skin's acid mantle is all out of whack, so with repeated use I believe this product is helping to restore my skin's natural durability. I use it twice a day, morning and night, after washing my face, as a toner. I started by diluting it 1:4 vinegar to water. I'm currently using a 1:3 ratio, and I might even get closer to 1:2 with the next batch I make, at least for spot treatment. I apply it with a cotton ball, let it dry, and apply my regular moisturizer over it, because it can dry your skin out. I haven't had any cystic acne since using this, and any new pimples either dry out or come out within a day or two. I've also noticed that it has helped with my scarring. This is huge for me, and acne products and product for scarring are rarely one in the same. I also maintain a healthy vegan diet. Cutting out gluten has made a big difference for me. I'm running out of room to write, but please look in to that!! I take a digestive enzyme, EFA oil with DHA, and a calcium/mag/zinc supplement. I've been getting microderms to help with scarring. I try to get at least 10 minutes of sun on my face most mornings. I use Dr. Bronner's 18-in-1 soap, because it's one of the most natural soaps I've found. But even with all of this, ACV has made the most noticeable difference in my skin. Definitely worth trying. Give it some time. Go

Pros:

HEALED MY ACNE!!!! INCLUDING MY EMBARRASSING DISGUSTING CHEST ACNE!!
***Be sure to buy ORGANIC apple cider vinegar***

Cons:

1) It takes about 3 weeks to see AMAZING results.
2) I smell like vinegar every night.
3) You have to keep applying it to your face daily, adding it to your skin care routine otherwise your acne might come back.

THIS IS THE BEST NATURAL PRODUCT I HAVE EVER TRIED ON MY BODY!! I AM SO HAPPY WITH IT THAT I WANT TO SHOUT IT OUT TO EVERYONE WHO HAS ACNE TO TRY IT!! Give it 3 weeks, apply daily! I apply it WITHOUT diluting it, with a cotton ball, and just rub it over my face and chest. I do this ONCE every night before I go to bed.

Pros:

works almost instantly, easy to use, affordable

Cons:

none at all

i have been using this product for two whole days and my acne is almost completely gone. i can't even believe it. okay so yesterday morning i started drinking it, in water and honey, 3-4 times a day. just basically always drinking water throughout the day (as usual) and always having some ACV in it. i also have been applying it topically all over my face a few times a day -- just rinsing my face and re-applying it whenever i felt like it. i was pretty determined, man! anyway, i have come to love the taste of it, not only because mixed with water and honey it tastes like some kind of crazy apple juice, but it's saving my life for real. i love this sh*t! it proves that you don't need to spend a million dollars on a prescription face wash or cream. it's all about the natural remedies, baby! i'm so down with this stuff!!!!

Pros:

ACV works, it's cheap and it's easy to find.

Cons:

I don't really have any. The smell doesn't bother me, and when I drink it, I just mix it with apple juice which makes it pretty tasty and tart.

I am 42 years old, rarely wear makeup, and have always had perfect skin even as a teen. My friends knew my skin routine but never wanted to try it, preferring to buy chemicals at the store. My 'secret' is something my mom once told me, wash with soap and water if your skin is oily (otherwise just water), scrub your face well with a cloth until it glows (to remove dead skin layers), and spritz your face with diluted ACV (or white vinegar) and let it dry. My oldest son had terrible acne until he actually listened to his mother (horrors!) and tried this. Two weeks later, his baby face was back and he hasn't had any problems since (he has been using ACV for over a year). Now my daughter is using this method as well and her skin is perfect. A month ago she had blackheads and pimples, and now has beautiful blemish free skin.
