Pros:

natural, inexpensive, dries out pimples quickly. My skin looks so much healthier and clean!!!

Cons:

none, maybe smell.

I've been using ACV for about a month and a half. I dilute it with green tea ( 2parts of green tea / 1part of ACV) and use as skin toner. Once apply ACV let it dry and use your moisturizer! My face is completely acne free right now. When I had a big pimple I applied just only ACV to the spot. next day I could see huge improvement. the pimples dried out so quickly and few more days later it's completely gone. I also drink 1 table spoon of ACV and 8 oz water right after I get up in the morning. My boyfriend hates the way it smells but we all know we will do everything if we can beat the acne.

Pros:

It actually works. I'm not even drinking it (can't stand the taste), just using it topically every night before bed.

Cons:

Stinks

I was surprised. I was using non organic ACV for a week and it seemed to do nothing. But I bought a bottle of braggs organic ACV since it was only $4, nothing to lose. And after 2 days of using it, I went from 15 so pimples down to 3 now. Again, I was surprised. Stuff's so cheap, and it by far beats the hundreds of products that I've tried and spend hundreds on.

Pros:

Works great!!!!!!

Cons:

Smells bad and burns eyes

It's amazing. I have used everything the dermatologist prescribes from differin to oral antibiotics and retin-A and benzoyl peroxide 10%. Then I started using the ACV (concentration =50%) and my skin has never looked better! It started working in around a week, and right now I've only got 1 active pimple compared to the at least 30 (not exagerating) I used to have. It does kinda smell, but the smell evaporates in about 5 minutes. And since the smell makes my eyes sting, I just close my eyes when I apply it. I apply it AT LEAST 2 times a day. Note: I still used benzoyl perrozide (but 2.5%) 2 x a day and retin-A at nights. I moisturize with unrefined shea butter at night and neutrogena healthy skin at day

Pros:

I used it for the first time last night and 2 zits are gone.

Cons:

The smell gets mildly nauseating after a bit but small price to pay..

I literally read about this around 8 pm last night, around 9 walked two blocks to the store, bought Bragg's apple cider vinegar (unfiltered and organic) and then came home and used it as a toner. I was going to take a shower later on, but wanted to jump start the process. I washed my face, let it dry and then soaked a cotton ball in the acv and applied gently to my face in a thin layer. Three hours later I took a shower and rinsed my face ' no soap ' and then when I got out, while my pores were still open, I applied the acv as a spot treatment, let that sit for like 20 minutes and then applied the regimen amount of BP. I woke up and two of my cysts that I've had for a month are completely gone, and this really painful cyst I have on my cheek has gone down by about a 1/3 and is way less red. I've used this for like 12 hours and I'm in love. I also drink it, 2 tsp three times a day. I mix it with the POM brand pomegranate and blackberry tea ' can't ev

Pros:

Skin clears quickly, cheap, great for general health, lightens red blemish pigmentation and scars...best remedy yet, after 6 years of suffering from acne!!! Also tastes great as a beverage (2 tsps mixed in hot/warm water).

Cons:

Can sting skin and eyes when applied topically, husband complains of the smell :-)

I've suffered from acne for 6 years now, when it developed in my teen years. I've tried everything, from prescription antibiotics, to salicyclic acid/differn gel, to change in diet, the pill, and drinking litres of water...but to no avail! Came across articles of the benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) recently and decided to give it a try. After taking 2tsp of vinegar mixed in warm water 3x daily, and apply topically each night with cotton swab, I found within several days my skin was clearing. My skin did flare up again after a week, but I found having sensitive skin meant the vinegar was very drying. So I applied the ACV to my face every few days while moisturising with "Bio Oil" in between, and continued drinking ACV 3 times a day. After about 1 1/2 months my skin is so clear, with only a few spots every now and then. I have a healthy glow, smooth lightened skin, bright eyes, hair is in fantastic condition, and I have more energy than I ever had! A complete miracle!

Pros:

It's natural... no wierd chemicals for your skin to absorb. It actually seems to be helping.

Cons:

Slight burn initially, but only for a moment and, yes, the smell is pretty overpowering for a couple minutes. I have sensitive eyes that start watering when I use it.

I never had much acne in highschool.. just a pimple or two every now and then. Now, at 25 years old, my face has been exploding non-stop. SO frustrating. It started a few years ago but has gotten to where I have permanent patches of deep red scars and eruptions on each cheek, plus random spots on my forehead, nose, chin, neck, etc. I naturally have more dry skin (everywhere, and dry hair), so when I tried ProActive (and most any acne medication), it just made my skin horribly dried out and flaky and red. As far as diet, I do ALL the stuff you're supposed to do. I'm a total hippie food snob. After spending literally hundreds of dollars on natural products that didn't clear my skin, I overhauled my entire regimen this week and only washed with natural soap, rub ACV on with a cotton ball after I wash my face at night, and during the day use only a natural tinted moisturizer on my face for foundation. It seems to actually be helping. Not completely clear yet, but improvement.

Pros:

Quickly got rid of redness, existing pimples, and pimples that were just beginning to show before they really could.

Cons:

ACV has a pretty awful smell, even when diluted. To keep from inflicting the odour on other people, I put it on my face at night, a few hours before bedtime, then again right after my shower in the morning, and gently washed my face before going out.

As a teenager, I had a clear, peaches and cream complexion. I'm 25 now, and about a year and a half ago, I developed rosacea. I've tried all kinds of crap (medications and moisturisers) for it, and nothing worked. I even cut bangs just to hide my forehead. Within a week of starting to use apple cider vinegar (mixed on a 1:6 ratio with water), I have no new pimples, all of the existing ones are almost completely healed, and the redness is going away. It may not be for everyone or every skin type, but it's worked wonderfully for me.

Pros:

Easy
Affordable (4.99 @ Trader Joes)
Wonderful!

Cons:

STINKYYYY

I was skeptical of this one... I've tried everythingggg and got desperate... I started to wash with Purpose cleanser and then apply (1 part ACV/1 part which hazel/3 part water) toner. Every few days Ill do a mask with Baking Soda as well. I was so surprised to find that mixing a few drops of Jojoba oil in with my Olay Regenerist Serum makes a perfect mixture! I apply this before my foundation in the AM. I hardly do any touch ups or blotting all day, and I have a healthy glow again. I tried doing the 'drinking it' thing for a few days, but decided topical may be the better way to go for the results I wanted :) no complaints other than the smell

Pros:

Applying apple cider vinegar topically has cured the acne I had for 14 years. I think that says it all!

Cons:

The smell. But use it at night ansd no-one will notice.

This really works but you must be consistent. I use a small spray bottle and spray some undiluted vinegar onto a makeup removal pad. After I have washed my face in the shower using a face washer only I leave my face wet. I then wipe the pad over my face, a bit like a toner. If I don't have a wet face I dilute it a little. Initially I started off with it diluted so as to not shock my skin too much. I can't emphasize enough how great ACV is for your skin. It is also anti-aging as it keeps the circulation to your skin and is a chemical exfoliant. Not only do I have clear skin, but my skin glows now! I have tried everything in the past, the oral contraceptive pill, I have had 3 months of acupuncture and chinese herbs, 3 months seeing a natropath, I have tried tissue salts, all sorts of vitamins, I had food intolerances tested, I tried topical antibiotics, every acne cream, lotion and potion available. Apple cider vinegar is the only thing that has worked!!!!!!!

Pros:

- Natural and you can understand all the ingredients
- Easy to purchase at your local market
- Actually WORKS! No industry marketing here! Just plain results!!

Cons:

Yes, the scent is pretty strong, but it can be withstood. Don't let it get near your eyes!! It works well, like a peel but if your skin is sensitive, just use it at night diluted with some water and leave on for 10 minutes, not too much longer.

I have never had problem skin but now at the age of 28, I have just suffered from adult acne. I am not sure what induced it, changing hormones, exposure to too much sun, but the skin on my face was attacked by aggressive pimples that left red scars all over. I have sensitive skin and I tried some "natural products" and some medical topicals and salicylic acid treatments.. None worked. Now I am just washing my face with warm (not hot) water and Dove bar soap. Do not exfoliate or scrub with a towel because it will aggravate your skin more. Just use the circular motion of your fingertips when washing to lightly exfoliate. I have found that apple cider vinegar actually purges my clogged pores. It also acts as a peel, not an exfoliant, and has helped my scars disappear. I have not had any new pimples since I started the nightly applications, only the purging of the already existing ones. I really am so glad that this works for me!
