Pros:

skin clearing
reduces redness
shrinks pimples

Cons:

drying
smell
itchy/stings

I personally love Apple Cider Vinegar, and I have even gotten used to the smell. I love that it's natural and cheap, and still is very effective. A dislike is that the smell is absorbed into your skin and when you sweat, it comes out... Here's my skin regimen: [link removed]

Pros:

Clears skin
Makes pores smaller
Stops breakouts before they happen

Cons:

Dries skin
Smells bad

I saw everyone saying how bad it smells, so I went out and bought some and yeah it's horrible. I mixed a teaspoon of ACV with clean and clear detoxifying facial cleanser that's oil free and my skin is the clearest it's been in 4 years. So, if the smell really is going to bother you I suggest mixing it like I did. And I use it every morning and night.

Pros:

- Heals pimples fast
- easy to apply
- made skin smooth
- prevents future pimples

Cons:

- Horrible smell that lingers in your nose
- Stings
- burns eyes

I use this when it's my time of the month, when i break out. Works great, stops pimples from coming back. Use it whenever you feel like you are going to break out. I soak a cottenball in the vinegar, and then rub it on my skin, after I showered (so the pores are still open). And leave it overnight.

Pros:

Cleared up my acne, smoothed my skin, de-oiled my skin

Cons:

a bit stinky!

Once you get past the smell, everything is a-okay. It's not an overnight miracle worker, but after a few weeks, there is a MAJOR noticeable difference. It's very cheap, and since you dilute it 1:1 with water, very economical.

Pros:

inexpensive, natural, smooths out skin texture and tone..all around fantastic!

Cons:

none! might dry skin out a bit..just be sure to moisturize!

i have tried EVERYTHING over the years! i am 34 and i've battled with acne since i was about 12 or 13. i no longer want to take antibiotics, prescriptions or use harsh chemicals..i'm over it! i have been taking 50 mg of zinc, 2000 mg of fish oil, 1000-2000 mg of vitamin c, acidophilus, and vitamin b complex for about a month. i have been using braggs orgainc acv for about a week as a topical and it has been really wonderful! my complexion hasn't looked this good in years! i urge you to try it! be sure to use a oil free moisturizer as it may dry your skin out a bit! i wash with dermalogica clay cleanser and i have cut out dairy and sugar from my diet as well!

Pros:

Leaves skin so incredibly smooth, evens out scars, feels fresh and clean, inexpensive,100% natural!!

Cons:

The smell...personally it doesn't bother me, but my mom hates that it stinks up the bathroom, lol

I have been dealing with breakouts of hormonal acne since September, and have used Benzaclin and Tazorac without any results (just dry, rashy skin that looked embarrassingly worse than before). I went back on the pill and that helped a bit, and then I completely stopped using harsh products (I wash with Vanicream cleanser) and switched to a light gel moisturizer. My face finally went back to looking clear, but I had bumps on my cheeks and under my chin (which has been the WORST spot so far on my face). So I read about ACV and switched to using that from witch hazel (which is good but not all that potent). Let me tell you, it was the icing on the cake: I've only been using it for two days, and my skin is so incredibly smooth and even. No more bumps and red scars! I made my bf feel it. Great product, I'm SO glad don't have to use bp on my chin anymore for maintenance! I don't even dilute it; 5% is fine when applied sparingly with a q-tip. Try it, it can't hurt! (And it's so cheap!

Pros:

helps post acne marks disappear, dries pimples up overnight, makes your face have a nice glow, evens complextion, etc etc etc!!!

Cons:

the smell? but seriously, i'll use the worst smelling product in the world as long as my face improves.

i have had on and off mild/severe acne for about a year and a half. i've tried EVERYTHING OTC... clinique 3-step system, drugstore medications, etc. i was just about to give up and finalllllly go see a dermatologist, but before i did, i decided to look at some homemade, natural remedies. ohhh thank god. i've only been using ACV for a week very consistently (am, and pm after a mild soap) and already my face is sooo much better! i can even see some older red marks start to disappear completely! i'm serious, try this right away. (not sure if it matters- but i decided to only use BRAGG's... organic. i didn't want anymore unnatural chemicals being put onto my face.)

CHEAP + EFFECTIVE
At first I was scared to try this but after reading the positive reviews I decided to give it a try. I've been suffering from acne since I was 13. At first I would only get pimples on my forehead but then it spread on my cheeks thanks to poor diet and stress. I started using ACV as a toner for 2 months now and I saw a HUGE difference! My acne started to go away, my post acne scars started to lighten up, and it also made my skin smooth and less oily. I usually get cystic pimples but I barely get it anymore. I only use ACV toner at night and in the morning I use Paula's Choice 2% Liquid Exfoliant. I know most people find ACV gross because of the smell but it's not that bad.

The bonus is to continue using ACV after your face is clear and drink it 2tablnsp. 4oz water daily and your skin will stay healthy. I read alot of what people are saying here and it's sad they are using it incorrectly, I tries to comment and suggest. Glad you see the benefits, it's a journey!

A perfect addition to any regimen
I had quite bad acne for many years. After years of finding out what works for me, I was able to get my skin to a tolerable level of a few prominent zits on my face at one time. I decided to add ACV to my regimen twice a day, using a q-tip to apply it to my problem areas, and my skin has never looked better. It dries up and shrinks zits fast, and is perfect for applying to recently lanced whiteheads. I still use retin-a at night and cleanse twice a day, but for 1 dollar a bottle I would recommend adding this to anyones regimen. The smell is prominent, but quickly fades within 5 minutes.
