Great product...
I would give this product 5 stars but it seems to have increased my likelihood of premature wrinkles...and it's not a very great product when you live in a place as sunny as central Texas. My skin is still extremely sensitive, almost 3 years after starting to use BP. The effectiveness is bar none though.

Good Product

Pros:

Stops oily skin with regular usage
Reduces acne

Cons:

Burns at first

I first started using Dan's BP in 2009 when my breakouts started getting out of hand. I still continue to use this product now. The whole regimen hasn't cleared up my acne; however i believe the root cause of my acne is: Very bad diet Allergies Alcohol Highly recommend this product!!

Best bang for your buck!

Pros:

Clears acne
Cheaper than other Benzoyl Peroxides
Comes in big bottles

Cons:

You can only get it online
It makes my eye water (only when I start putting it on)
Too watery

After using another BP treatment 4 months prior to this one, I was perfectly content. I decided to give this a try because it was cheaper and I was able to get it without international shipping charges. It has kept my skin clear and it really glides on your skin so much better. No gritty feeling and no white streaks on your face. When I apply this product though, it does kind of make my eyes watery in the beginning when I am rubbing it around my face. I also think it might be too watery. But all in all a really great product and a good bang for your buck. I would definitely buy this again.

10% Benzoyl Peroxide Lotion/Cream Treatment (store generics)

Pros:

Reduces Inflamed pimples
Great for mild or occasional breakouts
Affordable

Cons:

Not always effective for those with moderate to severe acne (get Accutane!)
May dry or burn face for those with extra sensitive skin
1-5% of this treatment will do nothing. Get 10% only.

This is not a cure for acne. In fact, I only recommend this product to those experiencing mild to fairly mild breakouts or those who very rarely get any breakouts. Great for spot treating those extra inflamed pimples. I HIGHLY recommend the 10% version of this. You can get it for under six bucks if you spend a couple minutes digging for it through the store's generic brands.

Pros:

very effective against cystic acne and small pimples
oil control
easy to use
non-irritating in the long-term
good quality product

Cons:

can be over-drying (find a good moisturizer)
irritating at first (don't worry, it will subside)
can bleach out towels and pillowcases (I switched to white for anything regularly used on my face)
redness of the skin for the first few months (no longer a problem)
online purchase only
can be expensive

Ok, I have to say this stuff is liquid gold. I've struggled w/acne throughout my teens & it got really bad about 19, covering my face in deep painful cysts. I tried various other treatments to no avail and finally tried this along with the cleanser and my own day & night moisturizers. There was initial dryness & flaking but now it just keeps my oily skin under control. No flaking anymore! I would recommend this product to anyone!! I'm also down to using this only in the am w/continued results.

Pros:

works fast
good as prevention and treatment
right dose

Cons:

dry irritated skin

I have spent hundreds of dollars on acne products untill my dermatiologist gave me BP presciption since then it has been a constant. Salicylic acid products do not work on my acne as effieciently as BP. for treating the acne scars i dab them with a paste of lime juice , tumeric and sandal withing 2 days the scars are almost gone. ALso the tea tree blemish treatment from Body shop is amazing in fading the old scars. Also i do not apply the BP on my whole face instead apply only in the areas where i get most breakouts. For face wash i use neutrogena's natural purifying facial cleansers and my face have been all clear for months now!

Pros:

High quality BP
Big bottle with pump

Cons:

Shipping is expensive to Canada 9 $
Shipping is not fast, took about 3 weeks to get here

I was using Panoxyl 2.5 % BP for 11 years, but it got discontinued in Canada. (don't know why since it was a really good product) I was looking for a similar product but couldn't find any where I live. I ordered BP from acne.org and after using it for a month, i have to say i am really pleased with the high quality of the product. I don't have an opinion about the regimen because i don't follow it, i have been using BP for about a decade and i guess i have my own personal regimen which works fine for me. If you are new at using BP, i would advise you too stick to Dan's regimen at first and then play with it, add other products and add or remove steps as your acne disapear. Be careful because BP does dry your skin so less is better at first. If your skin is dry and red, just stop using it for a day or two and it should get back to normal and then start using it again. Good luck :)

Pros:

-Works pretty well for moderately severe acne.
-Great cost for amount given (hard to find a better deal).

Cons:

-Drying
-Stains cloths
-I find it hard to do more than 1x/day do to extreme dryness. My body never did get use to it.

This is the best product I have come across so far and I have been using it for years. It helps with about 80% of my acne. I am sure it would be more if I could do it 2x/day, but it dries my skin out way too much. I tried it for months thinking my skin would get use to it, but it never did. But with 1x/day I am happy with the results - Not perfect, but much better than if I went without. I have noticed that some batches I order are better than others, but for the amount of product I received for the price, I can't complain. I use this in combination with Dan's moisturizer too. I wish there was a product that worked equally as well and didn't stain my cloths though :-( I use it on my chest and back as well and any time you sweat, you can kiss your cloths goodbye.

Pros:

Clears Acne
Easy To Apply

Cons:

Burns In The Winter (for me anyway)
Smells Toxic

If you have the 160z bottle, you never finish all the product. The bottle stops pumping it because it is so thick. Just buy 2 8oz bottles

Nothing is perfect right? At the least it cleared my skin up for the most part.

Pros:

Reduces breakouts
Reduces cysts
Oily skin gone!
Whiteheads dry and heal within 2-3 days
Gel is light and easy to glide on
Great value for a low price - cheap even with shipping!
Peels off the skin and the old acne marks
Increased confidence!
Happier
Hopeful

Cons:

Very drying
Made my face red
Swollen eyelids in the first days of application
Hardened skin
2 mild breakouts but healed quickly

This works!! I'm 25 and I've battled with acne for a couple of years but it got worse after I quit birth control pills in December. My skin went through explosions of breakouts this summer over a period of 2 months. I had at least 5-6 new zits every day. It was horrible, I could barely leave the house. Makeup couldn't hide the bumps on my skin. Even my parents looked at me with pity because my face was covered with whiteheads and cysts on the jawline, cheeks, chin and forehead. The zits on my forehead subsided before starting on the BP treatment but I still got these pesky clusters of pimples on my cheeks, temples and jawline. So while I was planning my new skin regimen, Dan's treatment came to my mind. I was on the treatment for mild acne in the past when I was 16 but I quit because I had just started on the birth control pills so my skin improved and I didn't need the BP. I'm on Day 16 of the BP treatment and my skin has massively improved and I don't have these awful bumps on my skin anymore. My skin has returned to a matte/normal look - no more oily cheeks, nose and forehead! I'm using Desert Essence Tea Tree cleanser for Oily/Combination skin and Emu oil as moisturizer. I still have a couple of pimples but they're quickly going away. My face is pretty robust so I've already upped the amount to a full-length (not so generous though) and only spot treat during the day. My skin hardened during the first week and then it started peeling. My face is quite flaky and it seems like a new old layer of skin is constantly coming off. But I'm happy it does because it has helped peel away my old red marks! I only have faint traces of pimple marks left. The newest marks are quickly fading - I think it's because the BP shortens the healing process of the pimples, reducing the scars. Looking forward to more peeling actually! I work from home so I don't have to go out often. My confidence is slowly but surely coming back! Thanks Dan for giving
