Pros:

Clears Blackheads wonderfully!

Cons:

NOT for sensitive skin- it will burn and sting

To be fair, I have rosacea and my skin is sensitive, the product did work but I just cannot tolerate the itch & burn anymore. Even after over a month of use and in small quantities it burns so baddd!!! For people with "normal" skin, it's probably a great product- but if you have rosacea/sensitive skin-stay away it's way too strong. (still giving it a 4 because I think the extreme reaction is not "typical")

Pros:

-Moderates Severe Acne
-Reduces Whiteheads
-Easy to Use
-Flatens Cysts
-Affordable
-Great Acne Product

Cons:

-Irritates Skin
-Does nothing for rooted blackheads
-Leaves Skin Susceptible to the Elements
-Very hard to stop using

I've used this product for well over a year and am overall impressed. Good price, good product. However it does damage the skin significantly.Skin builds up a reliance and in the event you decide to change your regime to something more natural, you'll be hit with a whirlwind. I am still using this product however 3 months ago I had decided to ween myself off this product into a much more natural regimen. I got down to one application every other day. Doing this for over a month I decided to finally eliminate that application. Big Mistake. The breakouts that followed were 10 fold worse than any I had experienced in my life. I've switched products in the past as I'm now longer a young man and understand the adaption period your skin requires. However that calm after the storm never came. For over a month I persisted to no avail. In the end my confidence and personal life was suffering too severely which prompted me to start using BP, again. Transition back into form was not easy either as I took me the better part of two months to get to a level close to where I was before. However in the end I recommend this product because it did improve my situation. But do your research first and look into natural alternatives.

Pros:

no more cystic acne! smells fine, easy to use.

Cons:

BLEACHING. this is not a reason not to buy it, but w/o knowing it i ruined a lot of colored towels.

its a little rough to start out with, might burn and dry out skin, but after sticking to it my skin adjusted fine.

Its the only thing that works. Even though i still get minor breakouts, my skin is just so much healthier overall. I don't get huge embarressing pimples or cystic acne anymore, which is a HUGE confidence booster :DDD My school photos don't need to be retouched, my makeup doesn't get all flaky looking, and my skin feels so smooth. I feel like a normal teenager, its the best(:

Need patience
Great product, but definitely need to be patient to see the result. I've used the entire regiment 2 years ago when I first started breaking out, it worked like a miracle, my skin didn't react badly to it at all, this was exactly what my skin needed. I got off the regimen after nearly a year bc my skin was cleared and I was trying to find other alternatives since this product is only sold in US and shipping was too expensive. But I started having little breakouts again but nowhere near what it was before. Until recently, my skin started breaking out again. WORST THAN EVER!! I went on the pill but it wasn't helping, so I decided to go back to what saved my face 2 years ago, the acne.org regimen. But unlike last time, I had a really rough start this time. My skin was reacting badly to the benzoyl peroxide. My left cheek area which is right under my eye started getting red, irritated and incredibly itchy. It started to have a texture, felt like all my cells were dried up. Even though I was draining my face in moisturizer and serums nothing seemed to be helping the dry rash looking patches I had on my face. It was painful and ugly. But I decided to push through. Now I'm on my 4th week of the regimen. My skin is clearing up and the dry patches I had are slowing disappearing. If you are going through the same problem. Here are some tips. 1. Avoid putting too much benzoyl peroxide on irritated areas because that area probably needs longer time and slower rate to adjust to the benzoyl peroxide. 2. DO NOT SCRATCH, I know it can be really itchy and irritable but trust me, scratching is only going to make it more irritated and might leave you with scars. 3. I used Bio-Oil to help my skin to get back that even texture and it also helps a lot with red acne marks, it was too oily for me before I went on the regimen and it would break me out, but now it works amazing on my skin. 4. I never really liked the acne.org moisturizer, it wasn't moisturizing enough and it was too harsh for my skin, I would get burning sensation when I use this after applying benzoyl peroxide, I found the best moisturizer while on Benzoyl Peroxide and that is Full Of Grace Serum Bar from Lush. It is the best thing!! It is so moisturizing without irritating your skin and leaving your skin glowing and hydrated. Good Luck on your acne journey, you are NOT alone.

Love and Hate
Ok this is a good product for the price but sometimes I still get irritated and have some acne. I love BP because it kills bacteria on the face. I follow instructions I do not understand maybe its too drying and irritate my skin. I just wish it gave me consistent results but I will still use it. Oh and be careful it may sting your eyes a little like cutting onions. Always use SPF moisturizer during the day or moisturizer then sunscreen.

Should I buy it?
As many of you out there, i tried everything. Nothing seemed to help, but one day I came across Acne.org regimen on you tube. So I purchased it and tried it. I followed the instructions step by step, and I even had my alarm to follow the minute precision. However, after one month in the treatment, my face started to flake and I had "wrinkles" around my eyes and everybody around me noticed how bad my skin was. I really hated my skin that period. The problem was that I applied the treatment on all of my face, even the areas that did not need it. I knew that the flakiness was part of the treatment but I still really hated the outcome and so I stopped the treatment. I began moisturizing my face again and I felt a lot better even with acne on my face. Next, I contacted the company and asked for a refund. The lady that replied to me said that this is not about the money and that it's about me. She told me to give it another try and if i still didn't like it, I would still get my refund without returning the product to them. After a lot of thought, I tried it again. However, this time I did not apply it to all of my face, but only to the areas that needed it. I am three months into the treatment and my skin definitely has gotten a lot better. Despite the flakiness that i get, i still continue this product because I know that over time, it will definitely heal my skin. Overall, I want to thank every member on this regimen team, you guys are life savers. Thank you so much. My advice to you if your deciding whether you should buy this, do it!!! It might be hard in the beginning, but it will pay off down the road.

It's working but I'm nervous
I've been on the acne.org regimen for 2 weeks now. They say to expect dry, irritated skin in the first week but this has happened to me in the second week. My face feels very hard (as if it's cracking when I move it) and very rough/irritated. I have only had 1 new cyst in the 2 weeks (I was getting a new cyst daily before I started). I have also noticed my scars look very red and inflamed, but I guess this is just because my whole face is a bit more red than usual. It's definitely working but i'm a bit nervous about what the BP is doing to my skin in the long term. I have also heard it can thin your skin and cause premature wrinkles/fine lines? Does anybody know if this is true?

Start off slow and work your way up. BE SURE to use moisturizer and take care of your skin. Be very very gentle. Otherwise, no it shouldn't cause premature aging (that's if you use it properly, as with most things). In fact, if it means getting less acne, it'll actually lessen the free radical damage on your skin caused by acne. Since bp's active period is only really a few minutes when you put it on, the "damage" is as fleeting as your skin existing in an oxygen environment. Still, it also dries your skin, so I reiterate, use an emollient and nutrient rich moisturizer! I recommend checking out what Paula Begoun has to say about the science/impact of bp as well if you have further questions. The dryness of bp is only surface level, as well, so is typically reversible if you decide to stop, as well.

Pros:

Smoothen Skin, tighten pores, less oil secretion

Cons:

Dries skin, darkens laugh lines

I feel that this item is pretty effective in drying up spots although I am still having break outs at my upper lip area (because I want to avoid applying the treatment at this area). I am extremely sensitive skin so for people who have extremely sensitive skin please DO NOT apply the treatment at areas near your laugh lines or upper lip area (just below the nose). This is because it will tighten/ dry your skin so much causing the skin around that area to darken and you may end up looking like a old woman. I have such an experience when using products prescribed by my skin doctor. So if you have sensitive skin, only apply the treatment at the apples of the cheek, Jawline, Forehead and your nose bridge. Apply a very thick layer of the moisturizer (from the regime set) to your upper lip and laugh line area to prevent any over drying caused by the cleanser. You won't want to look like an old woman after you get rid of your acnes right? Do a moisturizing mask twice a week using Oat+Honey+Rice Flour to prevent over drying of skin. Hope this helps :)))

Pros:

- It definitely works if you use it as instructed
- Huge tube
- Nice consistency (disappears easily)
- No smell

Cons:

- Very drying (even for oily skin)
- Not very portable tube
- Bleaches clothes (if you're not careful)
- Aging

I'm of south asian origin, and have had very oily skin, bad scarring and acne on and off for years. A few months ago, I had the worst break out of my life, with big red lumps appearing on my cheeks and jawline daily. I tried countless expensive products to get rid of them, but I just kept getting more and more lumps every day. After reading the reviews on this site, I decided to order Dan's BP, but was not impressed at first. I was expecting overnight results and instead all I got was extremely flaky skin which I have never sufferered from before. I did the regimen as instructed for a few weeks and there were a lot of changes - some good, some bad. My skin felt really tight and dry and it was difficult to cover up the flakes with make up. I was still getting new spots, but they seemed to go down a lot quicker. I now think my skin was just clearing out all the gunk that was stored in the pores. After using BP at first, my pores would feel bumpy, and if I scraped them lightly with my fingernails, blackheads would come out easily as if they were on the verge of 'falling' out (disgusting I know - but also very satisfying!) I stuck with it and although I still get spots occasionally on my forehead and jawline, it is nowhere near as bad as it was before. My pores look and feel really clean and my skin overall feels soft to the touch. I currently have only one big spot and a few small pimples on my forehead (and scarring unfortunately), compared to a face covered in big red lumps a few months ago. I'm not using BP every day anymore as I'm worried about the aging effects, so use DHC Salicylic face milk on alternate days or when I'm away from home. I'm very happy with Dan's BP though so will continue to use it even when my spots clear up completely as I know they could return again at any time.
