Pros:

Teh best i've used for getting rid of acne. Dries up the acne very quickly. Goes on smooth and absorbs quickly.

Cons:

My skin is VERY sensitive, so sometimes my face likes to go on a flaking rage, even with the moisturizer and jojoba oil!

Even the most sensitive skin should start becoming more resiliant towards the BP. IMPORTANT: If a part of your face should become a little flakey, make sure not to keep putting BP on it, or else it will become more and more flakey, and eventually cause a breakout! Instead, just skip 1 BP session on that part of the face, and allow it to go back to normal before adding more BP. This is just my experience though. BUY IT! =D

Pros:

Eliminated pretty much every pimple on my skin after just 2 days!
The morning after the first use I could immediately see that existing zits had faded. It stops new zits from emerging.

Cons:

Like every other review given on this website I agree with the fact that it dries out ur skin. When you start using the BP, start with a small dosage, to see how your skin reacts. Up the dosage when you see it reacts well. Use moisturiser after BP.

I have tried pretty much every available acne treatment, from everything I could find in stores to Proactiv, and this method works best for me. I use 5% BP as 2.5% is unfortunately not available in my country, and in the beginning I feared that this concentration would do more worse than good, but it didn't. The things you have to keep in mind when using this regime is that it does not work miracles. Don't expect your face to be 100% after the first day, but be consistent and hang on. It worked for me, and it WILL work for you! And dont let the messages about flaking and dry skin scare you off, this you can fix with a good, non-comedogene moisturiser. Stop looking at yourself in the mirror with disgust, and start improving your skin with this regime, because it works! Thanks to acne.org, you guys did an amazing job! You changed my life!

Pros:

Keeps big break-outs at bay.
The pimples I do get are way smaller than before and go away much faster.
Absorbs into my skin great.

Cons:

I can't think of anything substantial.

This stuff works better on my skin than any other involved regimen or natural remedy I've tried. My personal regimen involves using Dan's gel once a day after using an exfoliating cleanser and following up with a salicylic acid based toner or astringent. I know that would be too harsh for some but my skin is not sensitive. I've learned that exfoliating and toning is key for me to refresh my skin cells and avoid clogged pores. The acne gel dries up excess oil and kills the bacteria nicely to top it off. I'm also thrilled that the gel absorbs so well. I'm a darkskinned black girl and traditional products like Neutrogena OTS left an ashy film on my skin. My skin looks and feels smooth and has a glow nowadays. My self-esteem has been boosted 100%. Thanks Dan!

Pros:

Good stuff

Cons:

None

I got this for like 13 bucks, used it for about 2 weeks and its not bad. It tends to dry out your skin a little but after like an hour my skin goes back to normal. So far it's working so fingers crossed. Recommended for people who have tried everything else.

My review of bp
I think benzoyl peroxide is a great solution to get rid of existicing breakouts. However, I believe that in order to fix the main problem of acne, deeper things have to be considered like diet, environvement and lifestyle.

Pimple Killer!
In the past, I've used salicylic acid to treat my acne-prone skin. It was for no particular reason, it just seems like drug-store brands use salicylic acid more often than benzoyl peroxide. S.A. was doing nothing for me. After seeing all of the testimonials about the acne.org regimen, I bought this and the glycolic acid. I gave Benzoyl Peroxide 4 stars because it makes my hyper pigmentation stay around longer and it bleached a number of my shirts lol BUT using this with glycolic acid made my skin look THE BEST IT HAS EVER BEEN! BP kills the pimples while GA kills the hyper pigmentation. Together, they create perfect skin. I will never not have this in my life!

Pros:

very effective against cystic acne and small pimples
oil control
easy to use
non-irritating in the long-term
good quality product

Cons:

can be over-drying (find a good moisturizer)
irritating at first (don't worry, it will subside)
can bleach out towels and pillowcases (I switched to white for anything regularly used on my face)
redness of the skin for the first few months (no longer a problem)
online purchase only
can be expensive

Ok, I have to say this stuff is liquid gold. I've struggled w/acne throughout my teens & it got really bad about 19, covering my face in deep painful cysts. I tried various other treatments to no avail and finally tried this along with the cleanser and my own day & night moisturizers. There was initial dryness & flaking but now it just keeps my oily skin under control. No flaking anymore! I would recommend this product to anyone!! I'm also down to using this only in the am w/continued results.

Pros:

-Lots of product
-Reduces breakouts
-Absorbs great
-Smooth skin
-Cheap & effective!

Cons:

-Very Drying
-Leaves redness
-Time consuming
-Weird Scent

I've been using this product for around a month. I use the Cetaphil cleanser, the BP, and Simple's hydrating moisturizer. It is extremely drying during the first few weeks! But it will go away. After a month in, my skin has somewhat improved. The results so far are not drastic. I still have red bumps everywhere and I still have to coverup with concealer. But there has is definitely some improvement so it is effective! Just don't expect fast results right away. I'm hoping after 6 months it will completely clear up my skin. So far so good though. :)

Pros:

Clears up active pimples quickly
Prevents new pimples from forming
Dries clear
No fragrance

Cons:

Very drying
Leave a red spot after the pimple is gone
Have to apply a lot of product for it work well
Bleaches fabrics

The bottom line is that this stuff worked for me. I had moderate acne and I would constantly have at least one deep cystic pimple along with other whiteheads at any given time. I mostly broke out around my chin and cheeks. When I started using Dan's BP, I was at my worst. I had a few months of constantly having at least 5 cystic pimple and a bunch of whiteheads. Dan's BP was great at drying up and getting rid of the whiteheads. It didn't clear up the deep cysts any faster than normal but it definitely prevented new ones from forming. After using the product for just a month, my skin is so much clearer. I have no more cystic acne and I just have a few whiteheads that pop up. The BP is extremely drying which can be a little irritating and uncomfortable (but definitely preferred over acne). One of my biggest complaints is the red marks that seem to linger after a pimple is gone. And in general, the BP seems to give a reddish tint to my face, along with the darker red marks and scaring from the pimples. Overall, I this product is definitely worth trying and sticking to for some time. I have had a significant improvement and I hope to get completely clear one day soon. The side effects I experienced are no where near as bad as the acne I used to have. I am going to try Dan's AHA+ to help with the red marks and scaring.

Pros:

Works great! I have tried many products and this one (when used with "the regimen") is most effective. Gel formula goes on smooth.

Cons:

I recommend easing into use. Can dry out skin at first.

Get this now and use with "the regimen." Ease into use to prevent dryness. Be patient, use regularly, and your skin will become and stay clear!
