Gotten much worse
I've been using The Regimen for about 6-7 weeks now. My acne went from bad to so much worse. I have cystic acne all over. I have tried using many other acne treatments before and my face never has gotten this bad. I know it says that it takes months to show results so I am trying very hard to stick to it but I wanted to share my experience. The products make my breakouts red, burn, itch, and peel. My face is also very tight which makes it painful and uncomfortable to smile and laugh. I hope to see results soon.

I developed cystic acne on my face during the first two weeks. I stop using the acne.org lotion and went back to my old moisturizer (Clinique) and everything has started to clear up.

Should this treatment be affecting my complexion!?
've been using the regimen for a week and a half now and I am experiencing the dryness and peeling that is expected, However the benzoyl peroxide has also made me go a shade or 2 darker. My face is now almost darker than the rest of my body whereas is used to be the palest part of my body. Has anyone else experienced this and could possibly help me - I'm afraid that if I keep using it, it will make my face go even more darker. Please help.

yes! Im on my first week and my face is darker too. but i think that happens because there is dead skin peeling off form the top of your new skin , so that dead skin will have a darker color , it will peel off , dont worry. The same thing happens if you get chemical peelings. look for photos in google, you will see.

Wrinkles, red & peeling face
Do not fall for this. I read all the reviews and followed the instructions strictly...one month in it seemed to be clearing up but really really dry. My face was peeling. I used the jojoba oil & moisturizer as presribed...3-4 months in I started getting red rings & dryness around my eyes, the breakouts were still there. My face was really agitated, I even emailed their help representatives for help...no answer. Hydrocortisone cream fixed the rings but the dryness was still there. I finally decided to stop since it was getting out of hand. I slowly wayned my self off of this product, endured a massive breakout but my skin is almost back to normal and much better than on the product. I like the moisturizer & jojoba but the BP was intense...way too intense. Save your money, skin & time. Who wants self induced wrinkles at 27?

Ive never really had luck using BP. It just burns my skins and dries the crap out of it. I tried using it for 2 months no results but I know that some products work for others and some just dont. For me it doesnt work.

Not a permanent solution
Quite harsh in the long run for my skin type. I get why people would get results from it. But for sensitive skins, it seems to leave the skin quite red and angry. And once I stopped benzoyl peroxide, acne came right back.

I followed his directions (1 pea sized dose for 1 week morning and afternoon along with moisterizer) and my face is a wreck. This product might be for people with more server acne.

I've always bought this but not anymore

On August 2020 I bought this as I always have as this is the only 2.5%  benzoyl peroxide that I can find but this year they must have changed their formulation for a cheaper alternative or I must have gotten a defective one because when I used it, it burned my face really bad. I thought I probably just need to put moisturizer first but it didn't help. My face turned red the next day and very itchy. It was like this for two days, it was like a chemical burn. I hope you read this and bring back the previous formulation. Thanks!

I used this for THREE YEARS and it RUINED my skin!
As a young teen, I really didn't know any better. I lathered this stuff on my face, even though it was slightly irritating over time. What I didn't realize is this stuff was slowly damaging my skin. I couldn't go out into the sun without my skin becoming red, I couldn't go through a day without my eyes getting irritated and dry from the long term use and damage to my eyes from using this stuff before going to bed, and I couldn't get through a day without my skin covered in grease. My poor skin was suffering from the over dryness. I DO NOT recommend for anyone to use this. It will not help your skin in the long term. I am still trying to fix my skin two years later after using this stuff for so long. It ruined my pores. My skin is slowly getting better but I have a good two years to go! Please please please go to a dermatologist. If you don't have the means to, that's understandable, but do not use this system. Clear skin for a couple months is not worth the long term damage. Benzyl peroxide can be helpful, but not in this way!!! I'm not trying to trash the company or anything, I am only trying to warn people from damage to your skin because what I went through is not something I wish upon on anyone else!

Dermatologists usually recommend bp in general as a first line treatment for acne too actually... sometimes in combination with other unnatural products. Try the tea tree oil and zinc supplement combo because both are tolerated better then bp is... a game changer for sensitive skin like yours and mine. For repairing your skin try colladial oatmeal baths and pat drying. Moisturizing with organic jojoba oil or glycerin can be helpful too. Be patient and give your body a few months to heal because nothing is instant when it comes to acne.

You're not supposed to use the same product for over two years. If you do use a product for over two years, your facial skin usually becomes un-reactive to the product because you've used it so much it is no longer doing anything because though there is still acne there, the product isn't working because it can tell that it has already been applied several times and it won't work because it thinks it it doesn't need to. So, try using another product, maybe by two of the same product, then when you've run out of those two, try another two products if you still have acne, and then do that until you are clear faced or are just happy with your results.

Ineffective for acne. Great at bleaching and ruining your favorite clothes and towels
I've used Benzoyl Peroxide in vain over the course of a few years (both as a wash and spot treatment) and am finally giving up. I have persistent mild to moderate acne and this product does nothing other than bleach my clothes and towels. It doesn't seem to prevent my breakouts. Nor does it seem to help existing ones heals any quicker. When I really up the usage it just dries out my skin, causing it to flake and crack, and makes things altogether worse.
