Pros:

In terms of application, it is very gentle to smear and rub on the skin. There is no foul smell or odour along with it.

Cons:

I don't think Dan Kern has made it realistically clear how his gel is not effective as it seems. It was after three months before it could see any results. You need to create scenarios for every possible skin case. The instructions are not accurate.

If you have patience and you are committed, this will work for you. If not, don't bother.

Pros:

-It really works!
-Goes on smooth

Cons:

Dry, flaky skin in the beginning, especially around the eyes

I have only been on the regimen for 2 weeks and already my skin is looking great! I only have about 2-3 noticeable pimples. Its very drying but jojoba oil really helps :)! AVOID THE EYE AREA. Only major problem I'm having is my skin on my eye area is red, dry, itchy, and very irrated, so be careful! Other than that, I'm satisfied. Give it a try, don't hesitate :)!

Pros:

This BP gel is awesome. Helped rid my face of acne. i break out lie once every 2 weeks, but the zit goes away after a day or 2.

Cons:

Does very little for blackheads. I cant apply the gel more than once a day, it tends to dry out my skin really bad around my mouth.

I've been using DANS REGIMEN for almost 4 months, and y acne has never been better. plus the products are pretty cheap

Pros:

Feels like my acne is going away =D

Cons:

It has a smell to it...

Um...... I'm not sure if this products works gotta wait a month to find out

Pros:

- Works way better than salicylic acid, imo.
- No excessive drying or funky smell
- Gel based substrate (ie: no messes liquid messes to clean up, readily absorbs into skin, no 'white mask' look)

Cons:

- Would be nice if a dry/'just-add-water', travel-version existed for air travelers (considering the new TSA bans on gel based liquids)

An affordable acne fighting solution with an open community forum that encourages free discussion of the product. Good job Dan. (Note: In addition to the cost of the 2.5% benzoyl peroxide gel, I included the costs of the Eucerin Skin SPF-15 Skin Renewal lotion + alpha hydroxy solution + special soap)

Pros:

i LOVE how its not tested on animals (unlike other skin treatments) doesnt dry skin out no matter how much u use.

Cons:

sticky. takes a while to get absorbed into skin.

doesnt work well for me. waste of $$$$

Pros:

it does help clear pimples

Cons:

my skin was never 100% clear and often felt irritated and was still shiny.

i felt that although it did keep my acne at bay the chemicals irritated my skin somewhat and often left it reddish. i also hated putting the amounts of bp Dan recommended...it was scary to think my skin would need to rely on such amounts bp. i am willing to try other forms of bp, however, in hopes that it will not irritate my skin at all and hopefully i will be able to apply it in smaller amounts. i do believe benzoyl peroxide is a tried and true acne fighter and a treatment we should all try.

Pros:

Easy to spread because of gel-like texture
2.5% benzoyl peroxide is milder than 10%
Gets rid of smaller pimples like white heads or bumps

Cons:

Drying
Makes skin flaky until your skin gets used to it

If you're not allergic to benzoyl peroxide, this might work well for you. I didn't follow Dan's regime as closely as I should, but at first I used this as an acne spot treatment instead of all over my face since my spots are often concentrated in one area. It takes a few days to get rid if the small ones, but I couldn't really prevent cystic acne or treat it any better than my old treatments. After trying to put this all over I noticed my eyes started watering like crazy and the following day I had red stripes right below my undereye circles. I put this all over for another couple of days then stopped b/c I wanted to see if this was the culprit. The redness was completely gone so I'll have to give this up. I've decided to make peace with my acne and moisturize more so makeup actually looks good when I try to cover it. All these years of trying to treat it only dried my skin out and possibly made it worse.
