Pros:

Before starting on the regimen, I had moderate acne with whiteheads, pustules and the occasional cyst dotted all over my face. After 8 weeks, my acne has cleared up 99%! Only red marks and light scars remain, which I will be looking into very soon. I strongly urge you to try this treatment before turning to other options.

Cons:

For the first 6 weeks, my skin was red, dry and peeling all over. Even now, I am unable to adjust to the "recommended" amount, and only use 2 full pumps once a day. However, it is enough to keep me clear.

I also had to fork out additional cash for shipping ;;

Get it! It will bring your acne under control. Thanks Dan!

Pros:

I am clearing up. It's my 5th week of being on Acne.org products.

Cons:

Dry flaky skin. Break outs continued.

I feel my acne are more due to stress and hormones. This product would have worked better if i was not under so much stress. I probably go through much more stress than a normal individual. Its my school and my accelerated medicine program. I started this during my break and it worked pretty good initially but as soon as school started, i am down again. I am going to keep up with the regimen as it helps with inflammation and scars. But i am going for a hormone test next week and decide if spiro would be a good option or not. Hope this helps. I would say definitely give it a try. I feel much better than not being on the regimen.

Pros:

Worked as soon as I started using it. Easy to follow regimen.

Cons:

When I was using it....none

Great product as for more than a year it helped me have a great junior and senior year in high school with clear skin and only a few breakouts here and there that would go away in a day or 2. However, just this summer my face broke out horrendously and now the regimen just doesn't seem to work anymore. I still recommend it cause maybe your face won't become immune to it like I think mine did. Well, off to the dermatologist this week now :(

Pros:

Seemed to slow down active acne inflammation

Cons:

Very drying, Allergic reaction & isn't available at a local store

It's really a shame because I was looking forward to using this product. However upon trying it I had a BAD allergic reaction with my eyes. I can use the product around my face as long as I don't use a lot and not around my eyes so It defeats the purpose of the regimen. It does slow down active acne from growing in size and would probably work well for those who don't have sensitive skin.

Pros:

WORKS, WORKS, WORKS

Cons:

none really

okay so i posted a review earlier and my skin had cleared up completely because of the BP. But i started to use Retin-A and forgot to put on the BP completely. i mean like for 3 weeks. I thought i didnt have to worry about acne as much but NO. On the 3rd week i had random pimples popping up which shocked the crap out of me. Moral of the story: use the BP- even if you add something new to your regimen because it is stronger at fighting acne than you think :-)

Pros:

Well-priced. The amount lasts a long time even though you use a lot of it, and best of all IT WORKS!

Cons:

Bleached my brunnette hairline BLONDE (but not my eyebrows) when I accidentally got the product on my hair. It has stained a few of my towels and a few shirt necklines.

Here's what I've learned the hard way: Wash your hands after use to avoid staining towels, shirts, etc. Pull your hair back when applying to face. If putting treatment on after showering, make sure you put your shirt on FIRST to avoid getting the product on it. Otherwise, nothing has worked for me as well as benzoyl peroxide, and the 2.5% really does work just as well as the 10% (without drying your face). In the winter I applied jojoba oil before the treatment. If I see a zit that's popped up during the day, I put a little extra treatment on that spot and by morning it's usually almost gone! I use it AM & PM. I don't know what I'd do without Dan's treatment!!

Pros:

works!

Cons:

personal feeling that it is harsh on the skin.

Skin type: sensitive combination skin I'm 20 years old and have been using this since I was a little over 18. IT HAS CLEARED ME UP! When I returned home from college, I received comments about how much clearer my skin has become! I used the product exactly as Dan instructed. As Dan said, this won't perfect your skin, but will make a big improvement! I am proof! An 8oz bottle lasted me almost a year and a half! (I only used once a day on problem areas though. I found it to be drying on the area between my nose and upper lip, but then again I do have sensitive skin.) You must use with moisturizer or else your skin will be very dry. It does increase sensitivity to sun, but all benzoyl peroxide does that. Use sunscreen! I recently just placed my second order (year and a half later)! The price I paid was for an 8oz bottle and shipping to NY. I strongly recommend this product, but be sure to watch Dan's videos for instructions and recommendations.

Pros:

-Reasonably priced if purchasing a large bottle
-Good consistency

Cons:

-Drying and flaking
-The pump doesn't work all of the time

If you break it down by cost per ounce, the price is excellent compared to other brands, even if you include the high shipping charges. Just be very sure you are going to use the entire bottle so you won't feel guilty about dropping so much money at once. I like this more than Neutrogena's On-the-Spot. The application is very smooth. The gel dries quickly on the skin and doesn't bead when I apply moisturizer over it. Because it is BP, it does dry the skin and cause quite a bit of flaking. Also, my skin is more sensitive to the sun. Using a good moisturizing sun screen helps to alleviate any discomfort. I use this once in the morning all over my face and neck, followed by an SPF 15. I don't use it at night any more because I just started tretinoin a month ago. It is gentle enough that I can use the two (at separate times) without any adverse side effects. It is not effective with my cystic acne, but it is very effective with surface blemishes and blackheads. It immediately helped me with oil control. It did take a couple of weeks to see results and for my skin to adjust. I no longer get blackheads or bumps around my nose, temples, or chin. There is a noticeably less acne (about half the originally amount) on my cheeks and along my jaw. After a year of consistent use, it has not completely rid me of acne, but it has greatly reduced it. For an OTC product, I think this gel worked wonderfully.

Pros:

-It works
-It doesn't dry out my skin when used with the acne.org moistuerizer
-Goes on easily

Cons:

-Have to order on line

This product works better than anything I've ever used before, and I've tried a lot of probucts. I only wish that I could buy it in stores. I'm a little impatient and hate waiting for packages in the mail. Plus, it would be nice to not have to pay for shipping everytime. Still....I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who is struggling with acne and is getting frustrated with trying to find something that works. If it works this good for me, it could work for you. What else do you have to lose?
