Could anyone help?
Well, actually I have mild acnee : whiteheads and blackheads on my forhead and chin and some cystic acnee pimples on my cheeks. When I started using the BP 5% (about the 2nd week) my acnee started to fade away, I was really happy But then after couple of weeks I started purging and new acnee appears on my skin especially on my jawline (thus I hadn't such issue before BP) I ve been using BP for 2 months now and I still didn't notice any positive changes although Im moisturizing well What do you advise me ?

Hi! To me it sounds like you might need to make al lifestyle change. Sometimes when topical treatments just aren't quite enough, the answer to completely clear skin is a healthier body inside ( that way the treatment and your lifestyle can work together to prevent acne). I would recommend eating more fruits and vegetables as well as eating less dairy, meat, and foods high in sugar ( these things cause inflammation). Having a normal sleep schedule and doing light exercise can also be helpful. On the note of sleeping- change your sheets very often, as well as the towel you use to dry your face (I use a separate towel for my face and hair/body). Always was your face after you wash your hair to prevent shampoo+ conditioner residue from clogging your pores- also be careful of hair products that might get on your face. As far as makeup goes, always use a natural foundation (this can be challenging to find). I use the physicians formula powder and liquid foundations. Obviously wash your makeup brushes often and be mindful of the soap that you use to wash them with. Other things you could use on your face: Dr. Bronner's castile soap for cleansing and hemp oil to moisturize (hemp oil is amazing at reducing inflammation and will not clog pores!). If nothing else helps, I would get blood work done and make sure that you are not deficient in any vitamins and everything is within range. For example, when Leucine or zinc are low, the skin can act up ( definitely ask for these things to be tested as well as hormone levels). Always supplement under the direction of a physician though. Good luck!

I'm not sure..
When I first started using these products my face was itchy and irritated. So I stopped using it. I just started back using it for 2 weeks now and my face is flaky but not irritated. My eye lids are also flaky but I never use the product in that area. Any suggestions?

Continue using if you want to see results. My skin got disgusting flaky everyday but I continued and I eventually got rid of all my pimples. Also I wouldn't use the moisturizer they provide I use a heavy duty night one like philosophy which has really made a difference.

The acne.org regimen ruined my skin
I thought I was treating my acne, but my dehydrated, flaky skin (considered normal by The Regimen, especially in the early stages) couldn't heal or protect itself properly. I went through a cycle of inflamed, irritated pimples made worse by overdosing on benzoyl peroxide and skin that formed pitted scars more easily. I think it's really irresponsible of Dan and acne.org to support basically overdosing this medication and ignoring side effects like flaky, red, damaged skin that can quite frankly, end up making many people's acne worse and skin scarred. When I switched to a regimen of gently washing my skin, using a mild AHA exfoliant and moisturizing well so that my skin felt comfortable, rather than tight, dry or red, my acne healed. What dan proposes - the large amount of bp - is essentially an overdose of a substance that really should be used in a thin layer on top of skin and with copious amounts of moisturizer. I use it over vaseline sometimes. Do yourself a favor and use benzoyl peroxide as dermatologists direct it to be used - in small quantities, applied in a thin layer and be conscientious of your skin care by using a mild cleanser, exfoliating, and moisturizing as your base steps. Then add in bp on top of a moisturizer and decrease the amount you use once you stop breaking out.

You're very right. More is not always good. And Dan recommends that. Using a thick layer of benzoyl peroxide really made my face worse to the point where the right side of my face got swollen due to the amount of acne that formed. I'm off the regimen and decided to go herbal. Getting my complexion back, swelling has gone down and acne is minimal

Not sure if it's 8oz
When I took my bp bottle in the light, I could see it wasn't filled up all the way! A bit disappointed:(

HELP WITH FLAKY SKIN
I've been using acne.org for almost 2 months now and is really helping my acne. but my skin is crazy flaky, when i go out it looks like snow of my face, but their is a layer of dead scaly skin on my face. I started using aha and it didn't do much, then i started to get a few painful deep pimples unlike i have ever had before. i said enough is enough so i exfoliated. Should i keep exfoliating or should i just continue with aha because my skin is getting clogged under the dead layer lol thanks.

If your skin is getting dry/ flaky from the regimen you should definitely purchase the jojoba oil and mix it in with the moisturizer. I have dry skin and this has helped me 100%! My skin has improved way above expectation with the acne.org regimen and has become smooth & soft especially when using the jojoba oil

It works but,,my eyes..
I have been using this for about a month, twice a day. I started with small amount and gradually increased. It works great but I can't put anything around my eyes. it dries my face out like crazy, but I don't know what to put around my eye area. It stunk my eyes so bad since the beginning and it got a lot better but it still stinks my eyes. I am very careful when I apply this and tried several ways to apply moisturizer for my eyes, still not 100% satisfied. I would like to know if someone has same problem like me, and what eye cream and how do you apply eye cream so it doesn't stink my eyes. Thank you

Actually I do too! Even now, entering my second month with BP, it still does. But I know it's working so I just bare with it utnil you really get used to it. To reduce it's dryness, i put a bit of vaseline petroleum jelly after the BP & moisturizer dries.

Shipping takes forever
Im just commenting on the shipping time I havent tried the product yet. I ordered on 4/17 and didnt receive until 04/25. To come from California to Illinois the shipping could be better. I will be testing the regimen for 2 months. Will come back and update. 5/10/17 Ive been using the treatment now for about 20 days. So far I have seen a reduction in whiteheads, not much for clogged pores but I still have hope. I use the treatment day and night and always be sure to use spf in the morning. Im still on the hunt for a good mineral spf that doesnt leave a white cast since I am darker skinned. I do break out close to my under eyes however I try hard to not it close to my eye area because it can leave the skin raw, red and burning (been there done that). I will be adding the aha+ as a nightly moisturizer once I hit 30 days on the regimen to hopefully help with my hyper pigmentation issue.I do experience some dryness no flaking skin. Im hoping this regimen clears my skin and keeps it clear, I spend so much money on product. I will update again at 2 and a half months. 5/22/17 I'm not longer using this product since being prescribed Benzoyl peroxide and clyndimicyn gel from my derm. The combination of the two works alot better for me vs just BP alone. Since using ive seen a reduction in clogged pores and white heads. I've also seen my skin is alot less oily. My skin While on the acne.org BP I never had an issue with prolonged excessive dry skin. My skin dried out for about a week before it went back to normal. If you can get a prescription from a derm for treatment this does work just slowly. I also only have to use my BP/CLYND gel once a day so way more convenient and since I have insurance its alot cheaper than acne.org as well.

3 Months in - noticeable improvements.
I've had moderate to severe cystic acne all my life from puberty (I'm 21 now). I've been on the regimen for 3 months now and I do see an improvement but I'm not breakout free yet. Pimples that I do get seem to be going away faster and stubborn cysts are definitely shrinking. The downside is that this regimen takes a really long time to work and the dryness is excessive - I've even had to quit wearing skin makeup (not even a tinted moisturiser). I do intend to continue using this for about a year. If I'm not clear by then, I'll quit and head back to the dermatologist.

Help needed!
Help, please! I did the test on this page and according the results I bought bp together with AHA (no face washer or moisturiser), as I have acne only on and under my chin. So I started to use bp in the morning for the first two weeks, and only on the third week I managed to put it in the evening as well. Now it's been three weeks since I started to use it on affected area and my skin looks terrible. It's all red and it looks burnt, it seems like wounds opened on my chin. The skin peals off all over that area, feels so itchy. It hurts so much when I apply bp after the shower or moisturiser after bp. I haven't started to use AHA yet, and I take the moisturiser everywhere with me and use it few times a day (I have Neutrogena spf15). Has anyone experienced anything similar and could advise what shall I do? Should I stop using it at all? Or should I do a break? Or should I continue? I am afraid the damage will be worse than having acne..

Hi, I did get flakes, extremely dry skin, skin discoloration when I started this regimen, bp is harsh on my skin so, I started alternating it.. I do once a day a day off but once a day when my face got used to the irritation I sometimes do twice a day but not regularly.
April 6, 2017
My skin looks reddish after I apply it but it goes down not long after. I have extremely dry skin because of this product though, my skin literally flakes. It was irritating when I first started a few weeks ago, but I persisted.. only sometimes after I put the soother on does it sting for a little bit, I just ignore it. It did break me out, but I read that was normal.. that it was your skin purging.

You need to alternate days. Or use less product. Two days on....Two days off! Be patient! 😊

Not sure yet
My Dr actually prescribed bp at 5% I think it's only been a week I use it after I wash and then I moisturise but I don't see much of a difference although my face does feel super clean... she also said it will get worse before it gets better not looking forward to that and it will take 2 months to see results which most of you are saying the same so reading these reviews are giving me hope ! I'll post again next month with an update!
