Pros:

It does work quite well.
Large quantity
after 4 months, acne is almost completely under control.

Cons:

Caused me really severe initial break out, extremely drying for my sensitive/combination skin in the beginning, leaves red marks. Packaging needs improvements

Started the regiment in Nov., about 1.5 week in, had one of the worst break ever, big red cystic acne all over cheeks and chin, many reviews stated purging in the beginning, so i decided to stick with it. Skin was extremely dried out and flaking, the moisturizer in kit wasn't effective for me, tried it w/ jojoba oil, caused more breakout. At the time i switched to Clinique moisture surge, skin was still dry but flaking was under control. Seeing improvements about 2 months in, the initial breakout healed & left red marks, still got about 5-6 pimples here and there. Then used AHA at night with BP, alil improvements but still dry and feels rough compare to before. Skin look aging and dehydrated. Now use BP & Olay moisturizer at day only,Bliss groovy peel & toner at nite (skin softened alot!) along with thermaclear to stop any potential pimple. My skin was clear for 2wks, now have 2 pimples(due to my diet), Everyone's skin is diff, hope my review will help s

Pros:

-Cleared up my skin fast.
-Doesn't leave any residue.
-Easy to use pump.

Cons:

-Dried out skin a lot when I first started using it.
-The smell isn't nice.
-Kind of embarrassed it says "Acne.org" on the bottle.

This product started working to clear up my skin immediately when I started using it. I saw results in days. The only downside was that my skin got very dry as I moved up to the two full pumps twice a day that the regimen suggests. I started using the AHA+ from this site nightly and I reduced the amount of this product to one pump twice a day, and it got rid of the dryness. This product and the AHA+ pretty much saved my face. Thank you Dan!

Pros:

Works well, my mild acne problem has been under control since I started the application. My skin is much smoother and I am becoming better looking over time and the red marks are fading away extremely slowly, a million thanks to Dan.

Cons:

My skin was very red, dry and itchy in the first week or so. I Still have some stubborn occassional pimples that go away quicker than before. Last months I have had about 5 pimples here and there.

The price is great. I only paid about $12 shipping included for the small 2oz. bottom (even cheaper than the local store) which has already lasted for over 2 months and it is still going stong. In the meantime, I have also purchased the 8oz. bottle that might last for 1 year I guess. However, I am not following the regimen strictly that I only apply the BP at night and nothing else. I find that more convenient and cost-efficient. I hope my acne can and will eventually be grown out of as I age into mid 20s like my mum. I will return here to update my progress after another couple of months. I wish I had got this option many many years ago so I wouldn't have the minor scar problem that I have now.

Pros:

Price, size, presentation, it does work. The dispenser is a super big plus.

Cons:

My face is tighter or drier now, so I have to use moisturizer ABH (Alpha Beta Hydroxy) Oil Free Moisturizer from Beyond Belief (Sally Beauty Supply), with Proactive I did not.

If this product had more moisturizer in its components would be per

As many others, I found this website on a search looking for a comparable option to Proactiv, which I have using for around 6 years now. It does work, but I am tired of paying their high price. I thought I should be able to find something much cheaper and I did find some, nevertheless, not with the right combination of 2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide, but higher and this would definitely be too strong for me. I tried the Acne Free treatment, but I did not like the texture of consistency of it, kind of sandy. I was very concerned about the comments I read on this website mentioning that Dan's treatment would take long time to dry, but to my surprise it has a very good consistency or texture and it dries fast. I imagined a transparent and thick gel like Aloe Vera type, but it looks just like a cream, not a gel. Very good presentation, and lovely and ideal dispenser, it definitely beats Proactiv on this part.

Pros:

Worked immediately! Whiteheads on my forehead disappeared and acne subsided. BP goes on clear, no fragrance.

Cons:

Made my skin super scaly, dry and red no matter how much moisturizer I used. Followed routine to a tee. Redness and scaly-ness did not subside.

It's a great product if it weren't for the dry/red side effects. It made my skin wrinkly as well despite moisturizing all day long. I dropped the routine after 5 weeks and was also worried about the health effects of the large amount of BP I had to use. I switched to another product called Capisderm face wash (organic) after reading a few reviews on this website. My skin is glowing and normal looking now and I have no acne whatsoever!

Pros:

I have been doing the regimen for almost three years now, and it has consistently kept my acne away. The gel does not cause excessive drying or flaking, especially when you've kept at the regimen and your skin adjusts.

Cons:

It sometimes seems like it can take a long time to absorb into the skin, but it still works as long as the skin is sufficiently dry.

I wouldn't use anything else!

Pros:

A bit on the clearer side, a little skin brightening... but that's expected from BP. Ladies, a whole tube can be used for up to two months.

Cons:

Acne persists and it will annoy the sh*t out of you, but it's not as bad as before. You need to stock up on this tube because it'll be more economically 'efficient'.

I've used this for almost two months. Your skin is somehwat noticably red right after you put it on, as well as most of the day. I've been really anal about the regimen and I have to wash my hands everytime after putting this stuff on. But I'm still crossing my fingers and seeing if my skin is getting a little more better. Lately my old ance is starting to flare up (I think it's because of my period? or the seafood I ate? since a skin specialist told me my skin is prone to skin allergies). Oh yeah ladies... please stay away from makeup... even Bare escentuals Primetime & Smashbox wet/dry foundation broke out when I did a trial test on my neck. I've stripped down to lipstick. I'm gonna def. try out the 10% AHA lotion sometime to see if it'll heal the process faster.

Pros:

Not too expensive, helps pimples clear up a lot faster, one tube lasts a while.

Cons:

I haven't been able to get my face totally clear. Also, careful because it will bleach out your clothes if you get it on them.

I don't know what to say--apparently the regimen has totally cleared up most people's skin, but not mine. I've been careful to follow all of the rules as far as washing my face carefully, using a lot of bp, and not touching my face during the day. No luck. I still get frequent breakouts on my chin and forehead. The bp does help them clear up pretty quickly, though. 3 or 4 days whereas it used to be a week. I don't know, I have moderate acne so maybe I just need something stronger.

peeling

I bought this product back in september, because I was having hormonal acne and nothing was working not even changing my diet. This product truly has stopped any type of acne that I have had before. I didn't even really go through a purge phase. The only downfall is the fact that my skin was sooooo flaky. That lasted for a long time too, like about 4 or 5 months. Nonetheless though I remained clear always. My problem now is that I am going through flakyness once again. It had stopped and now it resumed and it's frustrating because I don't know why it re occured if I've stuck to the product. I use Aveeno as a moisturizer, because it helps a lot more than cerave or other creams. Another problem is since my skin is flaky whenever i try to put foundation it looks ugly, because it looks blotchy or it emphasizes the flakyness. I love that it cleared my acne, but I'm so over the flakyness. Does anyone have any recommendations?
