so upset
when i started this product i was so excited because i had seen a youtubers video saying it changed her life. after one month nothing happened. after two months my skin was horrific. i had more acne scars then i had ever in my life, and i was so broken out i was embarrassed to go out in public... ever. i cried myself to sleep because i finally had hope for clear skin, and after the money i spent with no results, i am truly saddened and disappointed.

I used this for THREE YEARS and it RUINED my skin.
As a young teen, I really didn't know any better. I lathered this stuff on my face, even though it was slightly irritating over time. What I didn't realize is this stuff was slowly damaging my skin. I couldn't go out into the sun without my skin becoming red, I couldn't go through a day without my eyes getting irritated and dry from the long term use and damage to my eyes from using this stuff before going to bed, and I couldn't get through a day without my skin covered in grease. My poor skin was suffering from the over dryness. I DO NOT recommend for anyone to use this. It will not help your skin in the long term. I am still trying to fix my skin two years later after using this stuff for so long. It ruined my pores. My skin is slowly getting better but I have a good two years to go! Please please please go to a dermatologist. If you don't have the means to, that's understandable, but do not use this system. Clear skin for a couple months is not worth the long term damage. Benzyl peroxide can be helpful, but not in this way!!! I'm not trying to trash the company or anything, I am only trying to warn people from damage to your skin because what I went through is not something I wish upon on anyone else!

Did not work
This product was a waste of time and money. I used the product for three months and saw zero results. In fact my skin is actually worse than it was when I started the regimen. I was very diligent and used the products every 10 hours. I kept using the products because the website said it could take months for the products to work. Well, I've been using it for 3 months now and I have so many dark spots, acne and irritation it is uncomfortable. My final straw was when my teenage son told me I need to go see Dr. PimplePopper because the stuff that I am using is just not working.

Not for sensitive skin....
I know loads of people on here have had wonderful success with the regimen, but I thought I'd chip in my two cents to say that I, personally, did not.... I followed the rules down to a tee, added jojoba oil to my moisturisers, built up the bp slowly, etc. etc. but even after a year on the regimen my skin still couldn't handle using bp twice a day. It was just constantly bright red, dry, irritated and sore to the point where I could barely move it most of the time. Not a pleasant experience at all, it was unbearable and my skin felt utterly destroyed. Then to make matters even worse when I came off it I had the worst breakout of my life with horrendously severe cystic acne all over my face. My conclusion is that it might be great for some people, but it's definitely not suitable for people with sensitive skin like me.

The cleanser is the only good product
The cleanser is just ok. Not the best one. The moisturizer arrived in a broken bottle and the whole box was full of it. It seems that they have a packing problem. The treatment is just awful. It doesn't help. It makes skin worse. So overall I don't recommend it. There are better products out there.

Never ever will I buy these products again!
I will never ever buy these products again! I have followed this system exactly how Dan said and 3 weeks in I have had to go to the doctor and have been given steroid cream to apply to my face due to a huge inflamed rash all over my face I have tiny bumps all over my face to it's horribly itchy and super irriatated I'm so so disappointed in these products. Happy for everyone it's working for but this didn't not work for me one bit!

Works, but beware of side effects - If tanning (skin discolouration) occurs, stop immediately
Conclusion: Follow Dan's advice- If skin discolouration (brown/orange 'tanning') occurs during use, stop immediately. BP Pro's: It was pretty good at stopping new spots appearing. BP Con's: 1. Every spot that did appear when using BP would scar and so the number of apparent spots on my face would not be any less than before using BP, even though far less new spots were appearing. (When i say scar, I mean hyperpigmentation marks, each of which take 6-9 months to disappear for me) 2. 'Tanning' (Skin discolouration): Dan does say that one side effect of BP is skin discolouration and that BP should be stopped if this occurs. I started to 'tan' after a week or two of using the product - skin was becoming more orange/brown, but not in a nice tan way - my skin was an unhealthy shade and there were noticeable rings around my eyes and lines on my neck (where I wasn't using BP). A lot of users on acne . org say this is a common and temporary side effect which may go away, so I persevered. It did not go away, and I stopped BP. However, it is now 4-5 months since stopping BP (and all other acne . org products) and the 'tan' is still as apparent as it was 1 week after stopping - there has been no fading in the last 4 months so it seems it may be permanent. The resultant 'tan lines' are almost as much of a problem as the acne itself, and whilst acne will disappear with age, I am now worried that the 'tan' wont. Other relevant details: - I built up (over a period of 1 month or so) to applying BP twice daily. I would use dan's moisuriser and cleanser as directed too. I also added in AHA after another month or so and used this every couple of days. I followed all of the acne . org instructions. I did not have any other side effects from BP (other than dry skin, which became less of a problem upon using AHA). After the 'tanning' became quite apparent, I reduced the BP to once daily, not twice, and did not observe any change. I thought the 'tan' may have been due to the yellow pigment in the moisturiser but this was not the case (I trialled switching moisturisers and this did not change anything). I also thought that the 'tan' may have been due to the UV sensitivity that occurs upon using AHA, however it was winter at the time (in UK) and there was essentially zero sun. - I have white skin which tans averagely - I am not particularly sensitive to the sun.

I'm almost a month in and I noticed the same thing. My acne was moderate but it has gotten so much worse! Trying to figure out if I should continue as well.

Just wash your face using warer . try it for a month and I guarantee its works out. I ever tried using only water and it works for me

I initially had the same results; however, I called acne.org to get some guidence, because I thought this was just another product that won't work. The lady I spoke to said sometimes acne will get worse before it gets better and on some people it will take longer before you see results, so I decided to keep using the products and my cystic acne finally cleared up in my fourth month on the regimen. I followed the regimen as recommended for the entire four months. I also tried the Jojoba oil, but that broke out my face, but it is great for dry scalp and feet. LOL. To battle the dry/flaky skin the lady I spoke with told me to use the moisturizer as much as I needed to throughout the day and that worked. I rarely wore any foundation, but I did wear eyeshadow and did my eyebrows. I hope this helps. Stick with it, because after using many expensive products and visits to the dermatologist, this is the only product that has worked for me.

I've stopped using the acne.org regimen completely and went back to my "go to" routine. Thank goodness my face cleared up. I may add only the Benzoyl Peroxide and AHA for my hyperpigmentation.

No improvements so far
This is my second week using acne.org and so far I have not seen any improvements. Before using this I had mild acne on my chin area and now it's just getting worse and I don't feel comfortable anymore. 1 star so far because it isn't helping with my acne

A lot of times it gets worse before it gets better. I'm no expert but this has been the case with every product I've used just about. You have to give it time.

Be patient, you will start to see major improvements after week 4 :)

Worst mistake ever!! 😠- 😠-
If there is anything i regret more than anything in this world is buying this product. Worst mistake of my life. Bought this product 3-4 months ago and my acne has drastically gotten worse. i tried inboxing the acne.org team to find out what could be wrong and all they did was ignore me. I have decided to use up all the product since it was so damn expensive but that is the first and last time buying this. I feel conned and i have warned all my friends who were to buy it against buying it. My acne is so bad right now i cannot believe it. I was so excited when i ordered this product. I felt like i could fly halfway and meet the plane flying this product to me as i could not wait to use it and i was 100% certain that my acne journey would finally come to an end. Now all i do is look at my face and shed tears 😪😪😪

For some it could take less than 3-4 months to see results. Others more.. In my case I was lucky to see my skin clear around 3 months. I wish you the best in this regimen and I know exactly how you feel but if it helps maybe keep trying it and if that doesn't work then I'd recommend a dermatologist.. Best of luck!

Try skipping the program's moisturizer, and find another gentle one. That is the one product that could cause issues for some. Also, did you try adding fish oil & zinc to your daily multi? I had much better results when doing that. Definitely check out the 'Diet & Stress' section--found under the About Acne tab on the right side. Also, stay out of the sun, and use sunscreen daily. Another help, may be to get your hormones checked out (blood work under a doctor's care), as there may be more to your situation that what is obvious. I am not doubting your diligence, it is just some people need more than just the regimen to see results. Wishing you the best.
