Still in the adaptation phase.

I'm starting my second week and my face feels like it burns like napalm in the morning. My skin is red, but I can see that some spots are gradually being removed. I can't use it twice a day because it burns too much. I have been using jojoba oil and it is helping but the flaking continues. I hope my skin clears up. I suffer from moderate acne.

Hi, I would trying a gel cream mousterizer. I use the byoma one at ulta that has niacinamide and green tea and it definitely helps with redness. Also make sure you are not using benzoyl peroxide at the same time you apply acids or retinol because that can also irritate skin. Use a hydrating cleanser then benzoyl peroxide and then gel cream. If benzoyl peroxide is too strong try using gel cream then benzoyl peroxide. Just advice from another acne patient who is studying medicine.

I’m three months in and have noticed a slight change not enough to give a full 5 star review. My acne is not as bad anymore  and I still have blemishes that I’m trying to banish. Like in the whole three months there has never been a day or days that I haven’t had a breakout. I’m going to push through and finish the kit and give an updated review later.

The Regimen

I started the Regimen a few weeks ago, and I just got a breakout on my cheek, a place I've never had anything before. I don't know if it is getting worse before better, but I am worried.

Couldn't give 5 because I'm not sure if I'm using it correctly!
Adjusting to the product...But I never received instructions and the product seemed tampered with. I'm still using it even though I'm not certain if I'm using it correctly. Placed a second order, so hopefully it came with instructions!

Love 1 of the 3 products
I started using this as a last resort. I suffer from adult acne and have tried everything. My skin is also on the drier side. When I started using the three step treatment my skin became so dry that it was flaking off in pieces. My acne was gone but the dry skin flakes were more embarrassing. I started experimenting and went back to using my old cleanser, then using the treatmemt and finishing off with a more hydrating moisturizer than the one (the moisturizer did not feel moisturizing at all). My skin has never looked better and is not dry at all. Moral of the story: the treatment is amazing but the other two products I do not recommend. Just buy the treatment!!!

I have the same issue with the peeling and I’ve been searching for a moisturizer (and sunscreen) that didn’t break my sensitive, combination skin out. Can you share what you ended up using? I use my own moisturizer but peeling/dry patches still break through after 20 minutes!!

I use first aid beauty face cleanser (amazing and hydrating), then I use the treatment and then I finish off with pure hyaluronic acid serum that I buy off of amazon. This seems to keep me from breaking out and keep my skin from getting dry. I cannot use cream moisturizers or I immediately break out. I find liquid serums work best.

I find the moisturizer feels really good and moisturizing on my skin, if you want it to add more moisture add more jojoba oil to it. The licorice root is super important so I wouldn't want to skip the moisturizer

Give a try....
This was an ok product, It cleared my skin, from acne and acne spots. used it over 6 months... I was not breaking out as much, and my dark spots were 80% gone , however, it made my face really dark. My face was way too darker than my neck and rest of my body so it was hard to get the right make up. I stopped using it gradually and started breaking out again but not as much. I do spots treatments for the new breakout. I stopped using it because my face was getting too dark and I wanted to switch to other products to even out my face skin tone. as soon as i switched, i started breaking out again i guess it because has made my face fragile not sure though. so right now i am in between and the other products. my face is gradually becoming light but i still have breakouts and dark spot. I am 100 % african by the way so meaning i am black. I really wish the product did not make me black but rather just kept my normal skin stone and cleared up all my dark spots. It will be unfair to not recommend it because other people have had a good experience with it. i had my part of good experience with it but just that I made my face too dark and I did not like it.

Helped some
I used the product for 3 months. It did help clear dark spots that I had previously from acne bumps. Although it did not help tame my acne. I would wake up the next day to 1-2 new pimples. Also I found out that I have closed comedone, which are tiny small bumps I get all over my cheeks. I thought these products would help but unfortunately it didn't.

The acne will come back
It dries out your skin like crazy, the moisturizer doesn't help much... however it does take away the acne but if you truly want to keep it away you have to make diet changes as well. If you stop using the products the acne will come back. The pro is it takes the acne away the con is the dryness. If you're a girl ur makeup will always look cakey. Perhaps if you find an amazing intense hydrating cream that doesn't clog pores you'll be fine but if not, you're guaranteed very dry skin. Also, I noticed your pores get big. And finally, I've been using the AHA for about 3 months now and my dark spots are the same. I've been using the whole regimen for about 5 months now and it definitely did help with the acne, just don't expect it to completely clear your skin problems you will still get a zit here and there. Personally, I've only been spot treating for the most part and I've noticed breakouts on the areas I don't. It's really frustrating cause I've applied all over again to make it go away but my dryness is back

So far so good
I'm finishing week two of the treatment but before I go into detail I will say a couple of things that I'm doing differently. A) is that I only do the regimen once daily. I've noticed in the past that doing my face routine twice is too much irritation so I only do it at night time before bed and B) I haven't used the moisturizer yet because of all the bad reviews. I will try it though just not sure when. I use unscented lubriderm and C) I don't use the recommended dose for the BP. I only apply it to my acne prone areas and I have not increased dosage. Ok so the first few days in were great. My face was clear for the most part and I had no complaints. Now I am finished week 2 and I have some pimples. I have two that are healing right now and two new ones. Those are just on my acne prone side of my face. With the Bp I have been applying it to where I get the most acne:jaw line/outside of cheeks and chin and in my nose to try and clear pores. I just dab my finger in some bp and apply it. The new pimples that I have are a kind of acne I have never had before. They are hard, red and feel deep and don't really get a white head. I did drain them though but that didn't look good afterwards. I've never had pimples like that so I'm just hoping the bp is just pulling out the bad stuff. That's only on my worst acne prone area though which is my left side of cheek. On my chin I noticed a few small white heads but very small and I am starting to notice on my right side of cheek I think there are a couple big pimples forming and I just started putting bp there. So I'm assuming it's the 'purge' as they call it, and because of that I was scared to go through my entire face purging that's why I've been doing the bp a little different. I also don't apply it to areas that don't get acne. So after the cleanser and the bp then I pour about 5-6 drops of jojoba oil in my palm and then I dip my finger in it and gently rub it onto my face. I've been using jojoba oil before th regimen and it's helped immensely with my oily skin. I have not had oily skin since the day I first used jojoba. After the jojoba oil then I use a small amount of lubriderm. Just a half pump or so and I rub it between my hands and gently apply it to my face. It looks a tad greasy right afterwards but you don't wake up like that by no means. As for dryness, I have not had any. Maybe a tiny bit on my nose but very minimal. I think it's because I use a little bp and the jojoba and lubriderm are great for me. To remove my makeup I use the magic makeup cloth from Sephora. Just lukewarm water on the cloth and gently wipe it off. Been using for 2 years now and works great. Doesn't irritate. I used to be a little rough with my skin which obviously wasn't good. After doing research and realizing that exfoliating your face isn't good I started to try and be as gentle as possible and I noticed a big difference. No redness anymore. I'm not sure when I will try the moisturizer. I read bad reviews so I kept it out of the regimen for now. I figured once my skin is clear after 3 months of using the bp then I will switch to the moisturizer. If I break out then I know it's from that. I was too scared to have the bp purge plus possibly my skin being upset with too many changes and a moisturizer it didn't like/agree with. That's my thinking anyways. I really hope this review helps someone :)

Getting worried and feeling anxious!
I started the regimen on April 19th so I'm on my 3rd week and I'm not seeing a difference really. I am actually getting a few cystic acne like the deep painful ones more than before. And when I wake up in the morning I have a couple really small white heads on my chin everyday. I do wear makeup because I am not confident enough to go to work without it and I tend to pick at my face. Something I try to control but it's hard sometimes. Especially when these white heads keep forming. Just trying to get an understanding and reausrrance. My face overall I have noticed is smoother and seems less inflamed. But disappointed on the amount of active pimples I continue to have.
