Pros:

Clears Skin

Cons:

Takes a while to work
Difficult initial outbreak/redness/drying because of the BP

After using this product for two months, I am a believer. It has cleared the horrific breakout I had after a miscarriage which prompted me to try it in the first place-- I had originally suffered from "mild" acne since I was 13. I thought nothing could fix my skin after the hormone shift I recently went through- it felt like every single pore was working to destroy itself. After eight weeks of diligent use, I am at the point of just clearing up scars from my horrible acne that previously existed. I do get one to two small whiteheads a week that I simply need to spot treat and get rid of, but no big ones and no blackheads etc. Before starting Dan's regimen, I got off all other retinoids and harsh cleaners and cleaned my face out with a few sulfur masks. After cleaning only with Purpose' gentle cleanser for about a week and avoiding all other acne products, I then started the BP regimen. This seemed to work in my favor because the redness and flaking were minimal and I have uber sensitive skin. The first few weeks will feel horrible from the BP, and I also had a bad initial breakout, but if you stick with it you'll be cleared up in no time. I can finally feel comfortable walking out of the house with no makeup for the first time in almost fifteen YEARS! It works. Period.

Great but not for everyone. Please read.
Let me begin with some background knowledge, I'm 17 and I've have had acne for approximately 3 1/2 years now. Sometimes it's just a pimple here and there, but other times I break out excessively, and being a junior in high school it sucks having to deal with acne, as it would for anyone. I've gone to two dermatologists but the topical gels they have prescribed to me only work for a short period of time. Before starting the regimen, I had about 4-6 pimples nesting on my face, so I decided to take care of it before it got worse. I used the regimen for about 3 months and my acne got worse, but I kept using it because I heard it "takes time" for some people. Furthermore, I determined that the Benzoyl Peroxide and my skin just weren't "simpatico" with each other. I no longer use the Benzoyl Peroxide but I still use the cleanser along with the moisturizer and have seen my face start to clear up. I'm not saying that the Benzoyl Peroxide doesn't work because there are many success stories, but for some people it might not due to various reasons.

Pros:

i have been using these products for a little over a week, my skin is starting to clear up, my pore is getting smaller, my skin tone feels so much smoother. The cleanser is amazing, i never had a cleanser who actually remover all my make up away.

Cons:

The treatment makes my skin a little dry, i only use it once a day (at night time), i use two pump of the moisturizer and i add a few drop of jojoba oil to help with the dryness.

The bottom line these product work for me, and it's so important to follow the direction and be very gentle with your skin, use very light on the treatment first time start the products. Thank you Dan :)

Use with caution! Real experience for me.
Hi, I was a long time regimen user from 2006 - 2011. My face was breaking out horribly when I was 17. I tried a lot of over the counter acne products and skin care (which made things worse) before trying the regimen. After trying the regimen for a month, my face cleared up dramatically and was left with only red marks and little bit of whiteheads. I used a gentle cleanser, full amount of bp, and cetaphil lotion. I was getting compliments of my skin and I had a fabulous skin until December of 2010. One day I woke up in the morning, my face was really red, cracky, puffy, and full of whiteheads and postures. I was so shocked! I thought the regimen was gonna keep me clear until I become 30 or something. I thought I didn't put enough moisturizer so I kept using the regimen with a lot more moisturizer. It only made things worse. At that time, I stopped using the regimen and went to different skin care places to find cure for my skin. Found out, I became very allergic to bp after five years of usage. Even if I dap a little bit of bp on my face, it became red, flaky, and itchy. After trying to find the new way of dealing with acne, my skin was worse than before starting the regimen and was breaking out with cysts every morning. Then I had a thought. What if I use something simple with sulfur and salicynic acid? I did a lot of research and began to use coral kavi soap and cerave lotion. After few weeks of use, My skin cleared up with no marks! I was so surprised by the result of simple regimen! I didn't have to spend two hours of life everyday to put massive amount of bp and moisturizer! I kept the same regimen for 5 years until a month ago. In December of 2015, my face started breaking out a little bit. The symptom was the same except it wasn't as bad as when I got off from the dan's regimen. I had pimples here and there and with help of cetaphil cream, I stayed somewhat clear. But then one day when I woke up, I looked in my car's mirror and my right side of my face was full of white heads. I knew something was wrong. I kept using it thinking that I don't even know what I need to do at this point. Things were staying the same except I was getting painful pus filled pimples again. Then I realized Whenever i overuse a harah product for a long period of time, things just stop working and makes my skin condition worse and irritated. Starting two weeks ago, I started using purpose soap to wash my face, put Keeva tea tree oil, and moisturize with cetaphil cream or lotion. Now I added Dead Sea mud mask pack for weekly cleansing and am going to try garnier's moisturizing gel for day time moisturizer and thayles witch hazel as a toner. This time, ever since I quickly got off the kavi soap, my face looks and feels a lot better and I stopped breaking out. I'm just dealing with what was left behind for the last few months. Thing are looking positive and am experimenting and researching for a more less irritating and natural way of dealing with acne. This time is a lot better since I became a little older than when I got off bp. By the way I'm 27 years old now. For some people, regardless of whatever regimen, your skin is gonna be irritated and going to see worse results after long period of use. I know that dan's regimen worked great for me. But if I think about it now, it was only a temporary relief from the acne. It was dealing with acne, however, it didn't deal with the overall health of the skin condition. I'm not saying that you shouldn't try the regimen. It works! However you should lessen the usage and dosage once you become used to the regimen. For any harsh acne dealing product, you should lessen it and find a better way of dealing with acne. I decided to write a review here to share my experience with the regimen and my acne history for the last 10 years. I'm back to browsing the Internet trying to find something that's gonna keep me clear. This time, something less irritating and more natural.

What's happening?!

Pros:

Works fast

Cons:

Loses effectiveness

I started this regimen in September of 2012 and was absolutely amazed with the results. I had very severe cystic acne all over my face and it started really clearing up within the first couple weeks. In three months all I had left were my scars and one or two breakouts at a time, which I pretty much maintained but did not mind at all compared to where I came from. It lasted over a year and I was sure I found the answer, but now my skin is starting to flare up again! I'm still using the regimen but I think I am going back to where I was! I'm so sad right now and I'm wondering if others have experienced this and what they did! I have not changed the way I do the regimen yet it is seriously losing it's effectiveness. It worked great for a little over a year, but now it's not working at all! However, I would certainly say it's more than worth a shot!

Pros:

Clears up blackheads, Smooths out skin, lots of product for price, can buy pieces a la cart if desired, do not have to sign up for monthly shipping

Cons:

Time Consuming, Wish it was stronger, wish there was a stronger spot treatment.

It works, and fits with what I have come to learn through Dermatologist visits since I was 12 and life experience. My dermatologist was an idiot, by idiot... I mean he put me on accutane for moderate acne that was made worse by his suggestion that I scrub the crap out of my face, aggrivate it, then come back and see him to "take care of it". SCAM! I learned that being gentle on your skin is the way to go. An interesting byproduct of my OLD derm's methods is that the 2.5% BP seems so mild! However, it has cleared up everything but my stubborn acne around my jawline in only about a week! That is freaking impressive. I will say that I thought the moisturizer really does need the Jojoba oil. The skin on my neck is more sensative, so it did get dried a bit from me accidentally getting BP on it. However the Jojoba completely fixed the dryness, and made my skin feel like it has just had a tall drink of water! Me gusta. The only thing I think this regime lacks is a stronger spot treatment. For that I got a 10% BP from Clean and Clear, and use it on the problem areas before I apply the Acne.org treatment everywhere else. The few downsides of this regime are: that it takes SO long for the BP to dry, and that they don't offer an sunscreen to use. It would be great if they could add SPF to the moisturizer, since then I wouldn't have to wait for 4 layers to dry...lol. All in all, solid product, better for your skin then proactive, and feels like good value for your money since you can literally feel and SEE that the products do what they are supposed to. For anyone concerned about bleaching your sheets and towels...simple, use white towels and sheets. Its the same deal whether you get your products from the Dermatologist, Proactive, the drugstore, or Acne.org. clear skin is worth it.

Meh
I've used the regimen for over two years now, and while my skin has definitely improved, I still break out quite frequently. Following the exact steps of the regimen takes an annoying amount of time, and if I don't follow the procedure exactly I break out even more. The regimen doesn't work badly, but since it's so time consuming it's not really worth the results I've been seeing.

Pros:

Cleared my skin

Cons:

EXTREME dryness/flakiness during the WHOLE process, even using lots of moisturizer with extra jojoba added.
Is only a temporary fix, unless you plan on using it literally forever

I would definitely recommend trying this system if you've tried everything else. I've been on Accutane, several medications, and am currently trying to clear my acne naturally. I want to say that this system works wonders, but I was tired of keeping up with it, and in the long run it actually really hurt my skin because it became resistant/sore from it. Don't even think about trying this system and then stopping it when your face clears up - your acne will come back much much worse because of your skin relying on the BP... I might have to try it again with a natural face wash and natural moisturizer if nothing else works. 3 out of 5 because it does work, but skin starts to rely on it. The moisturizer can also be irritating for people with sensitive skin, it caused mine to turn beat red for a few hours after every use. Doesn't find the source of the acne just fixes it temporarily, just like all other medications.
