Pros:

Refreshing tingly feeling, aromatherapeutic, blends well with most gentle moisturizers

I have been using TTO for two days and it seems to be brining blackheads to the surface of my skin. I don't know if the acne will clear up, but based on the blackhead-extracting effect I may continue to use TTO in combination with other products to eliminate my acne.

Pros:

Makes swelling go down faster, makes redness disappear faster, helps heal cystic and papule acne faster

Cons:

Smelly, makes skin dry and flaky, does not cure acne or prevent new acne from occurring

I use the Dessert Essence blemish stick, which has tea tree oil and a couple other added natural oils to help get rid of blemishes. It works well when I get a zit and want it to swell down, but be careful not to over use it, for it can really cry the zit and make the skin flaky. Though this does not prevent new acne nor makes it disappear over night, it does help the healing process go faster. Best wishes for anyone who gives this product a try, it may be worth it.

Pros:

Works great at clearing up active acne, bottle lasts forever, minimal irritation

Cons:

Stench, can be pricey

It works great. You only need 2-3 drops diluted on a cotton pad to act as an astringent for your whole face. Or spot treat using 1-2 undiluted drops on a Q-tip. I like that it doesn't leave a lot of redness like Benzoyl Peroxide does, and you definitely see results overnight. Only thing is I find that it doesn't really help PREVENT pimples, but it definitely speeds up the healing/clearing time of active blemishes, even big, hard cysts.

I used proactive for a year which was terrible and didnt help at all and then went to a dermatologist who put me on an antibiotic,Dynacin(minocycline) along with tazorac. It didnt seem to work either and I am now on accutane and have been using it for about a month. Have noticed less breakouts and the drying of my skin. Washing my face helps along with a good moisturizer, I am using the leftover moisturizer from my proactive package. I also heard about tea tree oil and bought some today and have applied it a total of 3 times today and have already noticed a difference. I hope it works because I am really looking forward to some help with this acne problem.

Pros:

keeps skin feeling refreshed and does not overdry if diluted in water first.
anti-bacterial and helps reduce redness.

Cons:

the smell can be a bit overwhelming
can overdry if you are apply the oil directly to your face, which should not be done!

After washing my face with a mild moisturizing bar, I apply my special toner: I dilute 2 drops of tea tree oil in 1/2 cup of cold water. I soak a cotton ball with the mixture before the oil can settle on the top. I apply the mixture by dabbing onto my skin and then I wait for it to dry. Then I use Aveeno Clear Complexion daily moisturizer or the Aveeno Positively Radiant (SPF 30) if I am going outside. It should last a long time, if only using a drop or two in the morning - so the price is not bad. Leaves face feeling fresh throughout the day. Not oily at all.

Part of my daily routine

Tea tree oil calms down my skin and keeps it relatively clear. I sporadically use it in the pure form on a spot because of the scent. But I do use a night cream with tea tree oil in there (from the Dutch brand 'de tuinen') on a daily basis. It's not the magic cure by itself for me, but it certainly appears to help.

LOVE

Absolutely LOVE this. It's kinda strong though. I made a d.i.y. toner with it too. :smileys_n_people_179:

Great Anti Inflammation Agent
I'm currently using Thursday Plantation 100% pure tea tree oil. I've been using the oil onto my face to heal my acnes for about 3 months now and what I can say is it does helps to heal my acne faster. I add it as my last skin care step; apply it on my acne area every morning and night. I can see significant result only after one application. My acne shrink and less inflamed. I also like to apply the oil whenever after I popped my acne. To me, It is a very good anti inflammation and healing agent. It does dry my skin if I over use it or I use it alone at sensitive area eg: nose, eyebrow, lip area. So, do ensure you prep your skin before you apply it. It is not a scar removal, hence do not expect it can helps get rid of acne scars.
