Pros:

I used this medication for a non-acne problem. My skin was getting bumpy, red and itchy. I used the medication for less than a week.

Cons:

N/A

I really liked the medicine. I am not sure about it working on acne, but it worked really well for my problem.

Pros:

-it does get rid of pimples
-works fast

Cons:

-it left this intense redness and scarring for me

i got it and it worked but even though its been a year since i used it regularly. my forehead(where i had acne) is still all red and scared. I'm getting microdermabrassion so it will probably be gone. It is worth trying though.

Pros:

1st week - cleared all my acne
2nd week - no acne, face all clear, spots (hyperpigmentation) faded
3rd week - no noticeable changes

Cons:

4th week - face red and all dry, poofy in certain parts, blotchy and stinging sensation
5th week - redness receeded but face still blotchy
6th week - skin back to normal, mild break out on right cheek

This is my 9th week using Stievamycin (I use 0.025%) and I seem to go through this cycle Clear skin Redness and dryness Small breakout Back to clear skin (repeat) My doctor told me to use constantly except when it's red and dry. I was really happy at first but because of all the redness I'm not so sure. Although the box told me to continue using and also said it takes months for it to fully work. But because I had such good results the first time, I'm going to continue using for another 3-4 months and if my face keeps turning red then I'll have to use something else. But I have to admit, Stievamycin has been the most effective out of all the acne medicine I have used (ProActive, various Clearasil products, Neutrogena), Tretinon has been much more effective on acne than Benzoyl Peroxide and Salicylic acid. Worked much faster too, but results vary with different people. If you are using this and you're experiencing similar symptoms, just hold on and keep using. Hope thi

Pros:

cleared up my moderate acne. I used to get a couple pimples a week and the occasional cyst, now I get much less.

Cons:

It does cause redness, dryness, and flakyness at first, and took 2+ months to work. You REALLY need to apply it sparingly, and only to affected areas.

Like all prescription acne meds, it takes time. I can't speak for everyone, but it's been working for me for a few months now. Before stieva I'd tried clindoxyl and over the counter treatments, and nothing else worked as well. It also seems to fade out old scars. My skin looks better than it has in a few years.

Pros:

- scars go away
-acne decreases

Cons:

- leaves some areas of skin shiny
- makes skin dry

This this actually does work but u need 2 be a very patient person 2 use this stuff. You start 2 see a little bit of its magic in 2 months. I have really bad BAD acne and when i started 2 use it, it reli did work. My scars even vanished. The probablems i got from this stuff is it left my forehead shiny. Also it made my skin really dry but that was solved when i used this non oily cream called complex 15. I used also the strong gel but that made my skin EXTRA dry. it was reli bad. So i do recommend this product but i need 2 try proactive 2 see if that really is the magic stuff.

Pros:

-Cleared Skin
-Reduced Scaring

Cons:

-Extreamly Dry Skin (redness, irritation, flaking, etc)

I've been using this product for quite some time after my doctor recomended it to me. It hadden't worked for my sisters in the past but I was willing to try anything. Now, I normally have extreamly oily skin and after a few days of trying it, it completely dryed me out. I got to the point when I knew it was damaging my skin more then it was helping it even though my acne was clearing. Even with the moisturizers my doctor had put me on, the best I get is 'normal' skin with some flaking and ichiness.

Pros:

none yet.. well i dont have any severe headaches.. thats not really a pro. its just not a con.

Cons:

makes skin terribly dry EVEN after applying moisturizer 2 hours later, makes skin red and flaky, in general it down right hurts.

I have freckled skin and have always had a great complexion with the odd zit every month or so. well, in about october i all of a sudden started getting small bumps all over my face. i started using benzagel. didn't work. so now i'm on stievamycin and diane-35 (the pill). All that has been happening is now i dont have any small bumps - instead i have excruciating volcanic zits. its now only on my chin and temples- but it is NOT working. Even on the bottle it says you see improvement in 2-3 MONTHS. i dont want to get rid of my acne then. i want to get rid of my acne NOW! AND im graduating in june. i do NOT want pizza face.

Pros:

- Helps dry out pimples
- Cleared acne
- Help fade acne scars

Cons:

- Can sting a little if you have an open cut on face
- Can irritate skin
- Takes a while to see results

I had some ups and downs with this product, but eventually is cleared up my skin. I still have scars, but it do notice them fading away. Using this product requires a lot of patience. It took me a couple of months (almost a year) to finally see results!

Pros:

it prevents breakouts, peels away dead skin (2 much sometimes)

Cons:

really blotchy and red skin, over dries skin, makes it really sensitive to sunlight, skin also peels excessively from time to time
