Pros:

-reduced oilly looking skin and healed open pimples very quickly.
-cheap
-no overall redness of skin like that on BP
-less time consuming than the regimen.

it made sense to use this as everytime i went into teh sea on holiday my skin would get better and so would random cuts or anything. the salt is great at heaing and preventing acne.

Cons:

-none really
-unless you are really healthy and dont drink or smoke you will still get the odd spot here and there but nothing like i used to get.

i use in conjunction with oxy's seaweed facial cleanser and it has been rele effective. i still dont have amazing model-like skin but i blame that on my lifestyle of drinking and smoking too much. simply by some fine sea salt. use the sea salt and some water as a scrub every other day and put three heaped tbl spns in with a toner so it is like sea water. using cotton wool rele try and soak troublesome areas before bed. a good on the spot treatment is handy i use the max strength oxy stuff.

Pros:

keeps face matte
can keep acne at bay
cheap

Cons:

stings on open blemishes of course
salty face

definitely use it as a toner after washing face. Get a small container to keep your solution in. Sea salt + Apple Cider Vinegar + Clean drinking Water OR green tea. They are all amazing for your skin so why not combine them all? Depending on how sensitive your skin is, you're gonna want to have a either not so strong solution or moderate. I have extremely oily skin like eeeeeeexxxxtreeemmeee its insane and nothing would work for me until this. It definitely keeps my face matted for a good amount of hours. I also use a gel moisturizer since i know gel anything is better for oily skin. Im just glad i came across this solution cus nothing would control my excessive oily skin until this! I really hope this works for everyone cus i know how much of a pain and embarrassment it is to have a super oily face. And give it sometime for it to work. I can't say it will get rid of your blemishes cus i use the Acne.org products to cleanse my face but i do know it does help keep my face matted

Pros:

*Natural so no added ingredients
*Cleared my acne very well
*Affordable, I bought mine on Amazon
*Great as a cleanser
*Smooth soft skin

Cons:

*Stings
*Can cause dry skin

I suffer from moderate acne, on my forehead and right cheek. One evening I ran out of bicarbonate of soda which I normally use for exfoliating, I had Dead Sea Salts lying around so decided to wash my face with them for some reason, I took a small amount of salts and put them on my wet face in circular motion, I could feel the salts melting and my face felt incredibly smooth. I then pat dried my face and used Finacea gel then went to bed.(I've been using finacea gel for 2 months, no results but no break outs either) The next day when I woke up the pimples on my right side had reduced(I'm not even exaggerating) and my skin was glowing too (like it used to when I drank 4 litres of water a day). I continued using the salts twice a day, morning and evening. By day 3 the gravel on my forehead was COMPLETELY gone, I couldn't believe it. I've been using this for under a month and my acne is gone I have nothing on my face apart from acne scars unfortunately... but overall I am very pleased with the results, they have worked very well for me.

Pros:

All natural, drys up active pimples, exfoliates, natural disenfectant, lasts forever, works great on my hormonal acne during pregnancy (woohoo no chemicals!)

Cons:

A little abrasive on sensitive skin
Can be pricey (depending on brand)

I really like using sea salt. I use Adovia Dead Sea Salt in two different ways. The first way: I boil water to steam my face and then I put the sea salt in the bowl. It's like being at the beach. It makes my skin soft and less oily. About 5 times a week I mix a tsp. of sea salt with my cleanser and wash my face that way. I have incredible results that way and if you have sensitive skin mixing the two together is a lot less abrasive than applying the sea salt directly to your skin. Small warning: be super careful on active pimples. Can be painful if you're using the salt without a cleanser mixed with it.

Pros:

Already had some

Cons:

~Gave me small breakouts all over the applied areas
~Stings
~Extreme letdown

I was really excited to try this after reading the reviews but I woke up the next morning only to find the places I sprayed my face with the salt water were all broken out. I am very disappointed. Of course I was the one person it didn't work for.

Pros:

Everything
Cleared my back acne COMPLETELY
Confidence boost for bikini season
No irritation on my back
Drying in a good way
Easy to use

Cons:

Wish it could've got rid of scars but that's ok, they're not that bad, and the acne is the most annoying anyways.

Let me start with the fact that I used mediterranian sea salt. I soaked a lot in water, added a few drips of tea tree oil in it (about 6), and put it in a spray bottle. Right when I get out of the shower AFTER SHOWERING WITH NATURAL BLACK SOAP I put on my clothes (don't dry off with a towel, it leaves lent on u). I spray this all over my back and leave it on till my next shower in the morning. I could promise u that in a freakin week my back was acne free. I was able to enjoy being in a bikini. After u get the results u want u can stop using it. Just make sure to shower daily and with good soap. Maybe a few bumps will come back when u stop; just do it again and in a day or two they're gone again. Please try this if you've tried everything for your body acne.

Pros:

Helps for acne inflammation
Disinfectant
Cheap
Natural
Great cleanser for people with very sensitive skin.

Cons:

Non really, except it can dry out your skin a bit, so put on a good oil-free moisturiser afterwards.

I live in a small coastal town, with 5 beaches in it, so obviously i go swimming in the sea often. Last year during summer (our Australian summer) i realized my skin was looking quite better. Then when we started heading into winter it got a bit worse again. The only thing that had changed was I had stopped going to the beach. So I decided to buy some salt! About 2-3 times a week I will put about a teaspoon of salt into 100mls of warm water. Taking a make up remover pad I'll soak it in the salt water, and gently go over my face for about a minute. I'll leave it on for about 5 minutes, rinse of with cool water, and then moisturise. Seeing as it is so cheap and natural I think it's definitely something worth trying!

Pros:

Works incredibly well, completely natural, so it's good for those who are sensitive to chemicals and fragrances.

Cons:

Irritating at times. Must follow up with SOME type of moisturizer.

After YEARS of bouncing around with all sorts of store bought acne treatments, and seeing absolutely no improvement, I finally decided to switch to a more natural skin routine. I've always noticed that my skin looks so much clearer after a dip in the ocean, so sea salt was one of the first things I tried... and I'm SO glad I gave it a shot. I've been using it for just over a year, and my acne is GONE. First, I just use Cetaphil for oily skin to get off most of my makeup and cleanse my skin. Then if I'm short on time, I'll just spritz my face with some sea salt dissolved in water, and leave it. If have more time, I take a bit of sea salt with just a TINY bit of water mixed in (just enough to make it kind of pasty looking) and exfoliate my face with it. I like to leave it on for a few minutes as well. It burns a bit, but not for long, because THEN I do a yogurt face mask. Just plain, full fat organic yogurt/greek yogurt. It feels SOO good, and softens my skin so much. It relieves all the redness and irritation that the salt causes, and doesn't clog my pores. Again, this has been my routine for a little over a year, and I might see one zit a month. I swear, natural is the way to go if you're fighting acne!

Pros:

Cheap, natural, and very effective.

Cons:

Stings already sore acne spots, abrasive for first time users, and can be drying if using sea salt just by itself.

I decided to buy a jar of Dead Sea Salt with naturals oils because I always heard Dead Sea Salt was better than regular salt because of the low amount of sodium chloride and because of its therapeutic properties. Since it was cheap I figured there wasn't much of a loss. When I first used it, it was very rough. It was rougher than any other exfoliating scrub I've ever used. However, after washing my face, my face felt extremely soft due to the natural oils (olive, kernel, jojoba, and sweet almond oil). The oils may not be good for those with already oily skin, but I have dry acne prone skin so oils are essential for my skin. I've used countless OTC acne washes, scrubs, and lotions, but nothing has ever worked this well. I HIGHLY recommend sea salt to anyone since its really cheap. If you can, try to get Dead Sea Salt that's made in Israel. Which ever one you get they're all cheaper and natural alternatives compared to most acne products.
