Pros:

Not Pregnant

Cons:

Tiredness, no sex drive, mood swings, hopelessness and depression

Was prescribed Yasmin by my obgyn after I had my first baby 10 months ago. Had no baby blues after birth but in last few months have felt so down and alone with no energy and lots of mood swings. Was wondering could I have PND this late. Was with my GP yesterday and he asked which pill I was using, it was like a light bulb went off in his head, he said he's hearing more and more bad reports and took me off it straight away. Hopefully I should see an improvement soon fingers xd

Pros:

Better concentration: I had severe ADHD before I went on Yasmin and now it seems to help me sit still for awhile. It also has made my boobs bigger and more firm

Cons:

My husband just asked me this morning if I had more of a belly. My hunger level is stabilized now and I'm not starving every 2 hours now but the first 2 weeks I wanted to eat everything in sight. I also seem to be more depressed.

Yasmin is a good choice if you don't mind your weight fluctuating a bit- just work out with it and the weight gain shouldn't be a problem. I am definitely more moody now than I was before and will cry at the drop of a hat but I'm going to stick it out for 3 months on it to see how I like it. My hunger is now under control and I'm excited to see what it will do for my light acne. Yasmin has been a good starter pill (First time on BC).

Pros:

decrease in acne..

Cons:

depression, weight gain, mood swings, nausea, vomitting, and more.

I was on Yasmin for a few months and it was my first time being on birth control and it was crazy. I gained like 15 pounds in just a few short months. Also i would cry for no reason and was really moody especially towards my bf. It made me feel like i was bloated and i even looked like i was too. Its all different tho in every one. But it def was not right for me so my gyno put me of Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo and its a million times better than Yasmin. I lost weight and my acne does not even exist. :)

Pros:

Lighter, shorter periods

Cons:

moodiness, no change in acne

I started taking yasmin about a month and a half ago just for my back acne. So far not much has changed, and it seems some days it's actually gotten worse. My face is a little bit better, but no outstanding difference. Im a bit dissapointed. I'll stay on it for another month and see if it changes, if not, I will stop taking Yasmin.

Pros:

My periods were really irregular prior to Yasmin. But ever since I took it, my periods became regular which was great. Skin began to clear up after my second pack. No major mood swings either.

Cons:

I experienced leg cramps during my first pack, but it went away soon after. A BIG con was the fact that my underarms began to have an unpleasant odor when I began taking this. It went away after I got off the pill.

Yasmin is really good for pregnancy prevention. It really helps with your acne as well. It may take a little longer for some to see actual results with your skin, but just give it time. I started seeing results on my second month. However, because of the underarm odor, I stopped taking it. The side effects vary from person to person, and unfortunately that was mine.

Pros:

Not sure yet. First week into it.

Cons:

I noticed a huge hard zit on the tip of my nose that really hurts but can't do anything about. I look like Rudolph.

I'll wait to see the pros and cons. Doing this more for skin so I'll repost after my month and see if there are any improvements. If that pimple on my nose is still there by then, you know I'll be getting off this BC. :)

Pros:

No spotting, lighter period, less cramps.

Cons:

depression and anxiety, extreme emotions, made my acne worse (so far). Felt extremely sick for the first 2 weeks, almost gave up. Want no physical contact with boyfriend.

Maybe I haven't used it enough... but so far I am not impressed at all.

Pros:

No unplanned babies! Less water weight than other pills I've tried, less emotional breakdowns, clearer skin, did I mention no babies?

Cons:

First few pill sof the months make me kinda sick, deffinate increase in hunger, no generic yet - my insurance doesn't cover most of it.

I've been on Jasmine for a while now, 2yrs off and on (had a planned baby somewhere in there) and love it. I had so many problems with the Estrostep Fe and Orthotricyclin I was on in the past. Ortho made me vomit nonstop and Estro made me an emotional wreck! Yes, it does take time for your skin to clear up but it gets better! The first 2-3 months I though my skin was just getting worse but once my body got used to the hormones I got lots of compliments on my skin! I went 6 months without a single breakout!
