Pros:

Sometimes it dried up a couple pimples

Cons:

Had to keep it in the fridge, dried out my skin to the point of cracking and bleeding, and after a couple months it no longer would do anything for my pimples

The cream did nothing for me and hurt my skin in the long run. Try something else.

Pros:

...covered by insurance

Cons:

none

Okkkayy i have had moderate acne since i was 11, and my dermatologist has prescribed jsut about everything (well, actually jsut one or 2 creams and 2 oral pills, because she treated my brother too (SEVERE acne) and knew that if she did not find a cream within a few tries it was pointless to go beating around the bush) so this is my last resort before Accutain. I have taken it for about 3/4 months, and it has done NOTHIGN to me. absolutly NOTHING. but i heard it works for some people, so give it a try i guess.

Pros:

Helped a little after other antibiotics stopped having an effect

Cons:

For me it only worked for a few weeks, didn't make much difference but helped keep the spots at bay a little

Unimpressed. Not a complete waste of time for me but at 42 I'm amazed I get acne anyway. Maybe is the anti-depressants I'm on that causes it. Will keep searchinf for a solution.

Pros:

Sort of cleared up the spots on the cheaks

Cons:

More spots developed on sholders, back, chest, jaw line, and neck. Also has upset my stomoch completly to the extent i dont eat as much as the pain was bad and it was making me go to the toilet alot. Also scared of getting imune to anti biotics

not the best thing,l i would only recomend it for mild acne, however i have only got it after 9 month on some weaker things. Also the side affects arnt good.

A little guidance would be gratefully recieved
I have been on these, 2x 2 daily, for three weeks now and my skin is worse than it has ever been. I have been on lots of different acne meds for the last two years as have struggled with it for many more. I am not experiencing any significant side effects, however, as I said before my skin is looking extremely covered, sore and red at the moment. Is this a sign that it is working and that my skin will get worse before it gets better? If not, then what should I do because it will take months to get to the derma and it is really getting my self-esteem low seeing as I have had this for about four years. I am starting college this year and really want my skin to clear up.

Pros:

Inflammation goes down

Cons:

Insurance doesnt cost much

Let me tell you how it really is I tried dicyloine did not work. Now Erythrocin worked well for the first three days then my skin really broke out I think it's pushing the zits up that were already there. It's nuts. My skin looks worse I'm about to cry..this is ridiculous. I might as well face it Ill never be pretty.

Pros:

clears skin well and makes it look glowing and fresh

Cons:

i took this antibiotic for 18months and it cleared my skin well however in this time i was also unaware of the very upsetting side effects it caused (explained below)

i began taking these antibiotics twice a day for mild acne, it cleared my spots and made my skin clear overall. However during the duration of the course i began to gain weight slowly, bearing in mind that i am only 5"2ins! i started off weighing 7st9 (my recommended weight) and being a size 6 to 8, over the 18months, i became 8st5 and a size 10. i was very bloated, uncomfortable and could not eat what i wanted without it showing badly and resulting in a bloated tummy and a spare tyre! this as you can probably imagine made me very upset, i had severe mood swings and nausea. after 18months i switched to tetracycline and went back down to 7st8 within 2 to 3 months, no bloating recently i have tried erythromycin again and for the past month have gone back up to 8st, am bloated, and have not had my period. (which is extremely distressing and worrying). i am very very anxious as to whether the antibiotics are causing this and am going to my GP to try and switch back to tetracy

Pros:

SO I TOOK THAT AND IT DID NOTHING FOR ME. MY DERMATOLOGIST JUST PERSCRIBED MY CLINDAMYOCIN AND I HAVE ABSOLUTELY CLEAR SKIN. YOU SHOULD ASK FOR IT.

Cons:

TINY BIT OF DRYING IF YOU HASVE SENSITIVE SKIN, BUT IT GOES AWAY AFTER 2 DAYS.

ASK FOR A TRAIL OF CLINDAMYOCIAN
