Good product just not for me

Pros:

Works quick
reasonably cheap

Cons:

dries skin

I bought this product out of pure desperation, I was attending an important event the day I purchased it and had a few pimples on my right side. I quickly applied it in the morning about an hour later I noticed a lot of the redness had gone away and so had some of the swelling. Leaving behind just dark slight bumps where the pimples were. It did over dry the skin when I used a thick amount across my cheek (since I have acne all over it), so be aware of that since it is Benzoyl Peroxide. Anyways it calmed down my acne for that day and a few weeks after, but it did not eliminate it, in fact after a couple of weeks it got somewhat worse. So i stopped using it. I do recommend this product for people with mild acne, but if your acne is more on the severe side (like mine) you should probably use something else.

Pros:

Relatively inexpensive
Seemed to help with smaller break outs

Cons:

VERY DRYING
I found that leaving it on overnight left me with red blotches on my skin in the am

I am kind of iffy on this product. I have mild acne, usually only experiencing break outs the week prior to my period. I found that while this product did in fact dry out the pimple, it would often leave my skin red and irritated, almost impossible to conceal with makeup, which was often more embarrassing than the breakout itself. It was also very drying, leaving my skin flaky in treated areas. Basically, the product may help reduce the size and longevity of your pimple, but battling the redness and dry skin is almost worse.

Eh
I mean it did make some of my acne go away but i was still left with marks. I bought this at a local Walgreens and it was okay because unlike all the other products i used, it did not dry out my skin.

Pros:

It works great! cleared my skin up in a couple of day, I like it cause it gave you no shine at all, and the cream kind of hides your existing pimples!

Cons:

This stuff does not spread at all and dries out way to fast, It also left white residue all over my face, takes forever to apply!

It's a good product, clears skin well...But applying it is a pain in the a$$, I wish it was a little more light and spreaded better....I would reccomend Dan's BP Gel!!!

Ok product

Pros:

Clears short term acne
Reduces swelling
Effective

Cons:

Cause redness and irritation
Skin had a burnt look to it
Not a long term product

I started using this product over night, it cleared up my acne for a while but then it started to make my skin feel dry. I figured it was doing its job and I expected some dryness and flaking so I just used extra moisturizer. Then my mom pointed out that my skin looked almost burnt in a very unhealthy way. I was switching this product with a different benzoyl peroxide product. I'm not sure if this made a difference, but after stoping on the spot acne treatment the burnt skin went away.

Pros:

*Over the Counter
*Don't have to buy it in a kit
*Cheaper than prescription
*Non-irritating
*Effective for small regular pimples
*Best over-counter spot/gel treatment I've tried

Cons:

*Still kind of expensive for such a small tube
*Have to dap quite a bit on
* noticeable (stays white and crusty until you wash it off or it flakes off) so use only at night
*Does not really work for those nodules type and may take two or three applications to fully get rid of a pimple, through one is usually enough

Yes it is cheaper and more readily available than determatalogist prescription gels, but Epiduo or Differin (prescriptions) work better. However, it is the best working of the over-counter ones I have tried, and I use it between appointments if I run out of Epiduo.

Pros:

Helps my big pimples but not the small ones.

Cons:

It is so expensive! And it takes a while to work for me.

I am 14 years old and i just started to get a lot of acne on my forehead and above my lip. I found Dan's website and i decided to try this out. I like the Neutrogena On-the-Spot treatment but it makes my skin very flaky even when I moisturize. What i use: 1) Cetaphil cleanser 2)Neutrogena on-the-spot treatment 3)Cetaphil moisturizer
