I've used this product for a little over a year and it hasn't helped. In fact, it's made my face even more broke out than before.

Pros:

Keeps breakouts to a minimum, exfoliates the skin nicely.

Cons:

Leaves skin a little dry

This is the only modestly priced cleanser that works for my face. My face is very sensitive, not only do I break out but I have rosacea. This is the only cleanser that did not trigger my rosacea and actually helps keep me from breaking out.

Pros:

- prevents big breakouts and most minor ones
- dries up existing acne
- definitely removes oil for longer periods of time
- Leaves skin feeling refreshed
- very cheap

Cons:

- leaves skin dry, especially if using on a consistent basis.
- must be used twice daily, in order to be most effective

first off, let me just say that the foam cleanser version of this product is much more efficient compared to the one being reviewed. It is not as thick and gooey. It is easy to apply and rinse off. also, It leaves your skin feeling healthy and refreshed (only if you have a good moisturizer). I cannot stress how important a good moisturizer is, it is key for making this whole routine work. I personally use vitamin E cream as my moisturizer. My face is never dry, despite consistently using topical acne treatments that are drying. My skin does not flake and does not experience that uncomfortable "dry" feeling when you fee like you cannot move your face because it is painful. Another benefit of using vitamin E cream is its healing properties. It fades redness and slowly but surely removes past acne scars. vitamin E cream is awEsome. Many think that because one can purchase this acne wash in a store for such a low price, it is not sufficient but believe me it is; otherwise I would not have taken the time to review it. Overall, this is a solid product. good luck in fighting the struggle!

Pros:

- it got rid of SOME acne.

Cons:

- drys face really fast
- doesn't smell good

I don't recommend it. I have SUPER LIGHT ACNE. It's all right, but if you have oily skin it sucks.

Pros:

good price
helped light acne
didnt dry face out too much

Cons:

didnt clear acne up completely
smelled kinda bad
dried my skin out, but very very little

i used it for a while and it surprisingly worked not bad. i would reccoment this with people who have light acne...its just a very very simple acne wash...and wont cure total acne. its oil free but it didnt stop my skin from being oily. i used this along with the clean and clear dual action moisterizer, and the cleanand clear advantage spot treatment...they worked really good for people with light acne btw all three products ijust listed contain salicylic acid

Pros:

Doesn't smell terrible

Cons:

Made my face extremely dry
didn't clear acne
didn't clear blackheads
very sticky

I bought this product a couple years ago, and used it for about a year. I didn't decide to review it until now. Every time I used to use it, my skin felt very sticky (I washed it off really well). Even right after I rinsed my face, it started becoming extremely dry, tight, and flakey. Even when I put moisturizer on the flakiness was still there. I used it for a year, thinking it would finally make my skin better. It didn't help with acne at all, just made my skin really dry.

Pros:

None

Cons:

-Irritated my skin, making it extremely itchy and bumpy the next day.
-Acne got worse. I've never broken out this bad before.
-My skin got very flaky, even after the usage of moisturizer.

Like a lot of people with oily skin, I stray away from most products while still trying to find the perfect solution. For the past year I've tried out a couple of recommended products for my oily skin, and I haven't had a severe issue until now. I used Neutrogena Oil-Free acne wash twice a day for 2 weeks. The first time I tried it, about 20 minutes in, I felt my skin become very dry. I applied my moisturizer without a worry and went to bed. The next morning my skin was extremely dry and flaky, my acne got extremely bad, and my face was very red and bumpy. It was so embarrassing since I had to go to school. It's completely ridiculous, especially since my skin isn't very sensitive at all. I skipped 2 days without using it then decided to use it again only to encounter the same problem. I tried it for 2 weeks and my skin didn't get to use to it at all.
