Pros:

-leaves skin smooth
-skin feels clean
-drys skin (which is good if you are oily)

Cons:

-The salicylic acid in this product hurts the corners of my mouth. I have to avoid this area when cleansing.

I initially broke out a few years ago and got everything completely under control with dan's regimen. about a year ago I started breaking out again on my cheeks. I think my hormones are fluctuating but nevertheless i decided to look into salicylic acid products to really clean my pores. I started using this as a cleanser instead of dan's cleanser day and night and paulas choice 2% BHA lotion every night. My skin looks more radiant due to all the exfoliation and I have not broken out since starting. I recommend this product if you want to help unclog pores and have skin that is naturally not dry. good luck!

Pros:

clears a few pimples
smells nice

Cons:

doesn't prevent pimples from popping up again
leaves skin tight and dry WITHOUT moisturizer after

I see a lot of people have been saying that you break out after using it once, and that is because every time you use a new product it charges through your skin layers and pushes the pimples deep down that are generating that would appear in like a week and just pushes them out. That's why you break out when you try a new product. I have been using this product for a LONG time. I am growing out of loving it because I need something a little more effective. Although, it is a nice product. BUT you DO need a good moisturizer after you use this. All these other people obviously haven't been moisturizing that's why they are getting the dry effect. MOISTURIZER IS KEY GUYS!!

Pros:

Cleared acne in a month
Gentle on skin
Can miss a day without major breakout
Smells nice
Inexpensive

Cons:

Dries skin out without any moisturizer

I love this product! It's very gentle and I have combination skin, so it was very hard to find a good acne cleanser product for sensitive skin like mine. But, Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash is my new best friend! It has cleared up my skin amazingly and it's so gentle. The only bad thing about it is that it can dry out your skin if you don't apply any moisturizer on your face after washing it.

Pros:

-The smell
-How it lathered
-Cleared some acne
-Reduced redness

Cons:

-Some acne left
-Dried out my skin

I tried this and it made some of my blemishes go away, not all of them. It made my skin a little dry and tight, which I didn't like. The smell was good, but I think it was too strong. I loved this product until I realized it stopped working. I used this for about 3 weeks and after the 2nd week I saw my acne going back to what it was before. This is a good product for people who don't have severe acne.

Dries your skin
Leaves skin feeling tight and stiff

I bought neutrogena trying yo get rid of my acne, so i got the oil free acne wash and it cleared my skin within 2-3 weeks so it's good! However after I used it my skin felt really dry and tight! My skin started to peel and it was really noticable too!

Pros:

Great for oily skin in summer
Good for mild to moderate acne in the summer
A little goes a long way; use just one pump!

Cons:

Contains a strong detergent; do not use this product more than twice a day!
Will dry out skin that is being treated with a strong anti-acne cream
Probably too strong for winter use

Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit Facial Cleanser This is an excellent cleanser for my somewhat sensitive, combination mature skin on my face in the hot and humid weather. I wash with it twice a day, using warm water and I have not had a breakout since I started to use it a few weeks ago. My acne is not that severe, but I do tend to get deep pimples on my cheeks that leave scars, and also smaller ones on my chin. If skin feels dry afterwards, spritz or dab lightly with water and apply a TINY bit of Clean & Clear Dual Action Moisturizer lightly all over face. (You always need less moisturiser than you think; the key is to apply only a little moisturizer to damp skin to help seal in moisture.) No more than twice a week, I also use Clean & Clear Soft In-Shower Facial to supplement the action of the Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash, but I use this revitalising scrub mask only because I do not have any sensitive pimples on my face at the moment.

Pros:

Inexpensive cleanser
Helps fight acne
Cleans skin well

Cons:

Drying
Feeling of tightness

This was the first acne targeted cleanser I have tried and I'm still using it. After using it over the years, I like to switch up my cleansers once in a while so my skin doesn't get used to the product. Although it may be drying, it works well to fight acne. Make sure you moisturize after using it.
