Neutrogena : Oil-Free Acne Wash

Baby if you think this is drying, try Adapalene or Retin A, you guys would cry.

This product works wonders. I am 26, had acne since I was 15. It went on and off, and last year it really fired up again, and i had some cystic acne as well. I had tried proactiv, and the other system just like it, as well as topical creams and such. After visiting with a very highly regarded Dermatoligist in my area, he said some of my acne was very " deep" and he told me i may try accutane and be done with acne for up to 10 years@80% success rate. Well after hearing the horror stories i decided not to, and really felt down that I may never get rid of acne. Well, one day I was in Walgreens, and decided to buy this oil free acne wash. The first day i noticed it made my skin kind of dry, so i only used twice a day, once in morning, once at night. Wow, after 3 days I was completely clear. I have no idea why it worked so well, and considering that some of my acne was deep it made no sense how it worked... But it did. 2 months later and about 3 bottles ago, I have had zero flare ups. Wow.

It's making my skin glow and brightened where rashes were. It's slowly getting rid of my adult acne. It's funny that the acne wash isnt irritating my skin because it seems like everyone else is having that problem....not me this is working good but slow results

Now first of all, it can cause dryness. Second of all, you can use it on your whole body. Like really. To avoid drying and irritation, you need to use it only once a day. Example: I shower at night and use this in the shower. I use it for my face, chest, and back. Then I go and put my acne medication on. Now, what I would say if you like to shower in the morning: use this at night to wash your face and use the acne medication or whatever you put on your acne for bed. Then in the a.m. when you shower, do whatever kind of face-wash you normally do for your face in the shower, but use this on your body in the places you have acne (if you have any on your body obviously).

works well, just sorta drying...you will need moisturizer..of course ..love the feeling after using it.. :)

Buy it, especially for light/kinda light acne.

I have extremely sensitive, oily skin and I live at an altitude that tends to dry my skin out. I've tried everything from Retin-A to ProActiv, Clean & Clear and Clearasil and all they did was dry out and ruin my skin. But when I started using this product, I saw the result almost immediately. At one point, I even stopped using it and attempted ProActiv (I stopped ProActiv and went back to Neutrogena when I saw my face getting worse). When used with Neutrogena Deep Clean Cream Cleanser, I saw my skin tone evening out as well. To keep from drying out, I used it along with Neutrogena's SPF 15 lotion. I don't think I'll be changing products anytime soon.

I went from using zapzyt and persagel benzoyl peroxide treatments (not at the same time) to using this product and neutrogena's aha/bha astringent and my moderate acne (and cystic acne) has improved 100%! I no longer have acne... just some scars which finally have time to improve since no new pimples have formed.

Affordable, one for the washes that actually work for comedonal acne. Don't use for sensitive and dry skin though, and expect dryness. After all it has salcylic acid.

Well i have had acne for 3 years now and i have tryed prescription medication that only worked for a little while so then i moved to over the counter stuff most of that actully didnt work so then one day mum and i went to coles and we saw this and then just wanted to give it a try so i did i applyed it that morning and it made my skin sooooo soft and also throughout the day i watched my skin for oil but there was none only a little bit of normal oils. So now im using it morning and night and i <3 it! (: i have seen really good results with it reducing pimples and preventing them i am so happy that i got this product and will recomend it to anyone that sufferes form acne! i will continue using this product for ever! (: i wish u guys luc and stick 2 this product xx
