Pros:

-smooth skin
-nice fragrance
-clears some types of acne

Cons:

-expensive
-very drying the first few weeks
-doesn't exfoliate

I decided to try after proactiv wasn't clearning my face to the extent I wanted. At first, you will notice your face is extremely dry after washing your face. This should only last a few weeks and then your skin will get used to it. A few weeks after using it, my face became extremely oily during the day during the purging phase but returned to normal a week after. It began to clear up the acne on my forehead but gave me cystic acne on my cheeks where I never had them before while on proactiv. I'm thinking about using this on the top of my face and proactiv on the bottom half. I seem to need a more exfoliating cleanser for my cheeks. This product contains harsh chemicals so I wouldn't recommend it for longterm. I started using MANUKA HONEY 12+ on my face and it is now clearing up and my scars are almost completely gone after 3 days.

Pros:

Can feel it working immediately
Has already cleared some bumps

Cons:

Drying effect on skin, especially chin.

I'm using the Clenziderm line from Obagi. I've heard about this product several times, and my dermatologist has said this is the best system to use for acne. I was able to get it at a discounted price through my spa, which is great since it lasts about 3 months. I have noticed after using it for about a week (just in the mornings for now as my skin gets used to the product) that it really dries the skin, so I'm making sure to apply additional moisturizer to the areas like my chin that are really dry now. I'm also getting very fine black dots (don't know if I can call them blackheads) on my chin where the skin is really dry...not happy with that side effect. I've only used the 3-step system for about a week, so I'm hoping it will also help with the old acne scars that I have lingering. I'm African-American, so my scars turn very dark, which is frustrating. I recommend this for now...we'll see how well it's doing in a month or so.

Pros:

Maybe working? Face cleanser leaves face burning, but feels so clean.

Cons:

Hella peeling + drying, I didn't want to leave the house for past few days it looked so nasty.

Burns and uncomfortable but willing to stick with it

I'm East Indian & have oliveish/light tan? combination skin. I've tried countless products for years and years and this is my little piece of hope before just giving up. Started on the 23rd. So far my skin has been sloughing off, as nasty as that sounds...not sure it'll work, but it seems like clear skin is surfacing. At least I hope so. The peeling is so disgusting though, it looks like I'm really sunburned and my skin has darkened a few shades, but as it sheds its clearer. After I use the 3 steps, if I apply lotion or sunscreen, it feels ice cold, so my face has been feeling kinda like it's on fire for past few days. Will update at the end of 2 weeks, which is what they say is supposed to be an approximate time to expect results.

Pros:

Sun spots faded somewhat...

Cons:

ACNE ACNE ACNE.... bad breakouts!!!

Ok, so Ive been using Obagi Nu Derm religiously for the past 5 weeks and I dont know if I really see a change - in my sun spots. Being that I live in Hawaii - Im out in the sun a ton and this is the reason why I purchased this system. The bad part - holy cow! I feel like crying every morning because this system has caused me to break out more than I've ever had before!!! Acne all along my jaw line and chin!! I ready to give this system up!! it's not worth trading sun spots for MORE ACNE!!!! not worth it!!

Pros:

Haven't seen any yet

Cons:

Redness, dry, dry dry, and I have more wrinkles two weeks into it than I have ever experiencd before.

Wow. I have seen the results of friends who have used Nu-derm and they look fabulous. I started two weeks ago. The flakes do not bother me so much. I know that will subside. The itchiness will not last either. What is really frightening is the new wrinkles right under my eyes by my nose. OMG. I feel as though I just aged ten years. I am horrified any time I look in the mirror. I will be calling my doctor on Monday.

Pros:

Smoother, softer, gets ride of black heads, scaring, the list can go on!! I've tried many products and I had moderate to heavy acne and this has done a major change.

Cons:

For the first few weeks your face will be as red as a lobster and it causes alot of drying, itching, skin cracks close to the mouth and can cause a bit of bleeding...but I must admit it doesn't hurt if you have the cream, it's mostly uncomfortable!

I have been on this product for 1 month and 1 week now, and I can tell the difference between night and day with my skin and my acne. Of course it was very embarassing the first few weeks because it looks like you've caught a tan that simply went bad. I was introduced to this product when I was looking for a private clinic that can help me with my acne since all the other dermatologists that I have ever been to never gave me any thing that got ride of the acne. Right now all I have is blemishes but it will slowly go away I have been told, but I need to continue on the product for 3 months. After 1 month I have eliminated 90% of my acne I only have blemishes and the other 5% to get rid of...hopefully it will be done by month 3. I really think people should try it, I have tried so many products and this one is working in the less amount of time, and it doesn't damage anything internally...just skin shedding...shed baby, shed!!!

Pros:

So far, so good. Within a week of use my skin has gotten noticeably clearer and breakouts have decreased as well.

Cons:

The products don't smell or feel very good. My face is substantially redder after applying the products, and this redness seems to persist for a good while. Hopefully this redness will decrease with time.

Though pricey, so far the kit has done it's job and done it well.

Pros:

I have Clenziderm for normal/oily skin. It is clearing my skin up. I have less cystic acne since I started it two weeks ago.

Cons:

I look like a snake shedding my skin and it hurts a lot! It is very abrasive and painful! I can't wear make-up because of all of the peeling. It's so dry even the wind hurts! And my face is RED!

I hope that the pain, peeling and redness will ease up and there will be healthy skin under there somewhere. I can tell I have less acne already.
