I went to a dermatologist and he recommend me Obagi to remove my sunspot. After spending over $300. Nothing really work..what a waste of my money and time.

Pros:

- works in the short term

Cons:

- once my skin cleared and i stopped using benzol peroxide my skin broke out.
- stopped working in the winter when the air got dry.
- dehydrates the skin
-contains parabens and lots of other scary ingredients

If you need a quick fix then it will clear skin for a few months but it's not a long term solution.

Cons:

drying of skin
made pores larger
lots of congestion
blackheads

I have read many reviews and this product is excellent for some folks and absolutely terrible for others..to include me!! I was very loyal to obagi and did all phases. My face now looks disgusting. This system is terrible for those with sensitive acne-prone skin. I have been taking pics and my skin looked better before i started at the spa. My face is so congested and so many blood capillaries are broken I did not leave the house for a few days. With the retina and no moisturizer, this skin care is way too abrasive! I was getting cysts as well on my chin constantly. I changed spas finally and on a slow road to recovery...

Pros:

None

Cons:

Caused my face to break-out even worse; very expensive.

I used the clenziderm system. This is simply a horrible product. I went from having mild acne to having severe acne, and had the opportunity to get to know my dermatologist much better in order to fix all the damage caused by this product.

Pros:

Not really sure it did anything for me

Cons:

Break outs!! LArge cyctic gross looking acne

I have being using obaji normal to oily skin for about a 3 weeks now. My face is worse then when i first started. I was on pro active which gave me a clear face, then my FNP recommended this system...I now have worst acne cystic right side lower chin worst then ever. They keep on tellling me to be patient and it will go away but everyday i wake up to a new red spot on my face. I simply dont know what went wrong with this system on me!! To pricey !!! I will try for 2 more weeks if i see no improvements i will go back to pro active.. which i know it works!!!

Pros:

NONE!

Cons:

This stuff is no better than anything you can get at Wal-mart! I was committed to the 16-18 week process and my skin is not any better than it was when I started. It's extremely expensive and doesn't work!

Let me make myself clear...I used every product in the system exactly as directed every single day for the an entire 16 weeks. My husband hated the smell and would barely kiss me good night. My skin is horrible. I can't really say that it made anything worse, but it certainly didn't make anything any better! There are too many steps which added no less than 5 minutes to my morning routine. Doesn't sound like a lot of time? It is when you're trying to get every second in at the gym and run home to get ready for work and get two kids ready for school and be out the door by 8am! I'm convinced that it's a sham!

Pros:

After using it for 6 months, I truly cannot think of any pros.

Cons:

Sorry Obagi enthusiasts. The Nu-derm products are overpriced and not worth the hassle. There may be some positive results after a couple of months, but they soon dicipate. The sales woman who sold it to me used it. She stopped and suffered big time.

Go to a Derm! Spas are there solely to make commisions off big ticket items like Obagi. Every derm I spoke with had no praise for Obagi. The products contain a slew of parabens and you have to cake on the layers morning and night. Like I said, at first I noticed some good results with texture, ect...But a few months later, I couldn't control the breakouts anymore. So then I just felt like I was slushing this stuff all over my face, causing more oil buildup, and making it worse. Went to the derm, and they put me on Differin...what a fabulous difference! And I'm on Doryx. My insurance covers it all. Whereas Obagi has a hefty price tag. Don't get suckered in.

Pros:

Not really sure that this has done anything good for me. I used Clenziderm for Dry Skin so maybe the one for Normal/Oily skin works better

Cons:

Causes large cystic acne, Expensive considering results, Time consuming, It takes a while to do because you have to wait 10-15 min after washing to put on step 2 and then wait 1-2 min for step 3.

I suffered with acne years ago and had finally gotten my face pretty clear. Then, a few months ago I started to get little pimples all over my cheek and some breakouts around my chin. I went to go start up chemical peels again, since I had had a lot of luck with this in the past. The esthetician recommended this product to me while I was there. I have been using it for a month and a half and while most of the little pimples are gone--I now have large cystic acne all over my face!! I did not have any breakouts like this before. I was told your skin might need to purge but I am getting large cystic acne ALL over! Places I have never had breakouts before are becoming inflamed. I am very disappointed with this and really feel like it is making me worse. Even if I don't touch them, all the acne is leaving scars so now I look just like I did years ago. It took me 6 years to get my skin back to being decent and it took Obagi a month and a half to ruin it all over again!!
