Don't try this if you are having closed comedones!
This will work fo people who are suffering from acne that's caused by irritation or who are using products that are not suitable for them especially people with rosacea acne and sensitive skin type.. sooo plez plez for anyone with congested skin ( having closed comedones, those tiny bumps under the skin) don't try this method as it will make your case even worse.. our acne type needs exfolation in regular basis.. I'm using retin a now for the CCs and it's doing a great job, alhamdullah..

At fist it seemed to work..
At fist it seemed to work but eventually it was just a "grace" period(lasted 7 days) where I was going true (a period where the skin is still recovering from the BP and after that I got one of the worst breakouts I've ever had. I couldn't look in the mirror. I have started benzoyl peroxide again and will probably stay with that. MIRACLE PRODUCT!

Thinking there is more to this then the obvious
i am thinking this must also include a persons lifestyle/age to get great results, meaning drinking water eating healthy ect. I tried this for 3 months and feel like a teenager my skin is so bad the worst it has ever been it HURTS its red and discoloured and dry I just can't do this anymore! I really wanted this to work for me. I suppose for some it works 100% and for others has the opposite effect

Hey Snowydayyyy, thanks for the feedback. It's always good to hear pros and cons to a regimen... about your face being red and hurting... are the pimples themselves hurting or rather the face in general? Just asking cause you may want to seek medical advice, people can develop infections in cases of severe acne and it's a scary situation to be in if it goes untreated. I've been in the boat before and trying to spread the word. Wishing you all the best!

Gonna try it....why not.
Seems I have been forced into using only water seeing as everything else I've used doesn't work. So starting today I used only water. I DO want to use moisturizer, but it may be the moisturizer breaking me out. So if I just use the water for about a week and my skin clears up, I'll know it was the facial cleansing products-- and after a week I will go back to water only and introduce a moisturizer-- and if my face starts breaking out, i'll know it's the moisturizer. Either way it goes I think I'll just stick to water only for a while to see if this will calm my acne down, and, ultimately, eliminate it. A bit about my face: acne acne acne everywhere....and did I mention more acne? It's not accutane severe, but it's severe to me. I get acne mostly on my cheeks...like they loooooove it there, the area where a unicorn horn would be, a colony on my forehead, some on the chin, and then a village on my back. They tried to habitate my neck and I'm like no...just no. We'll see what happens. :) :( :) :( :) :( :)

Uh...no.
Did this. HATED it and I don't have acne. I merely have congested skin...or HAD I should say. Soap was invented hundreds of thousands of years ago. I personally need something to break the surface tension so that the oil built up in my pores can be released. You only need to wash your face 2x a day. Forget the treatments and toners & stuff. I think SA and BP are the reason so many of you are still struggling. Get a bar of soap, and a washcloth. Use that and a gel like aloevera or nicinamide gel (I can have 5% niacinamide compounded at a pharmacy or you can buy a gel called Metazine 5%) and scrub with brown sugar a few times a week. (NOT BROWN SUGAR & LEMON JUICE UNLESS YOU WANT CYSTIC ACNE) Long to short: YOU'RE TRYING TOO HARD, BUT DON'T STOP CLEANING YOUR FREAKIN SKIN.

Everyone skin is different you are well uninformed of that, most people are on here doing this regime because before we only used water in our youth years coming up. but get a small blemish and want to try to correct it using soap or other, natural, none natural treatments, destroying our skin in the process. This why most people here in america have this problem, because we are told to use soap and etc which we really don't need but like i said everyone is different what might work for you might not work for someone else. but good luck and good morning

No! No!
I live in tropical country where it is always humid here. Please dont try this. After a week of using only water on my face, from mild acne developed to moderate acne. My face went dry and flaky and lots of whiteheads appear on my face I never broke out before. My face got red spots instantly. Everyone is staring at my face now. I am so regret! I strictly do NOT recommend this! Please listen to me everyone. Don't be a fool like me. A week of not washing my face will cause me months of acne trouble.

Please don't do this
I bought into the hype but 11 weeks later I've realised it makes no sense. My active pimples started to go away by week 6 or 7, and it was great. Or so I thought. I got into the habit of avoiding mirrors too close and just feeling "clear" from a distance. Little did I know. I just used water and patted dry with a towel every day. Maybe lightly brushing off dead skin once a week. It backfired big time. I've ended up with seborrheic dermatitis and thousands of tiny bumps, and sometimes noticably red bumps. I'm only now trying to treat it and of course, I have 11 weeks of built up clogged pores to purge out of my skin. So now I'm breaking out badly and in areas where there isn't acne' it's just all bumpy and red anyway. If I can prevent one person from making this mistake, it'll be useful at least. I'm only one solitary person, on this earth for just a tiny fraction of time. Please just try and find gentle products that work for you. If I had spent those months experimenting and patch testing I could be on my way right now. Best of luck. Dont cry for me Im already dead

Got worse after a month
I had previously been using benzoyl peroxide at night and a face wash twice a day, then I left my skin alone for a month, occasionally washing with water in the shower, and my skin got quite a bit worse. This may have been due to my worse diet, but I'm not sure.

seems great
but hard to control bacteria then. it does help the skin relax and take a break from all chemicals usually used. but bacteria seems to develop faster in that uncontrolled environment. might be good for a couple of days.

Well that was a bust
Tried this several years ago for about a month in conjunction with a whole foods diet. Boy was that a mistake. After about the third day my face started trying to peel from the lack of moisturizer while simultaneously being extremely oily. Two weeks in a serious breakout set in. Cystic acne all up in my cheeks and even on odd places like my forehead and nose. Pores were so horribly blocked and blackheady that I had to quit after a month.
