Acne.org : Moisturizer with Licochalcone (OLD)

At first I hated this. It seemed to sit on my skin. However, if you GENTLY rub it in for 60 seconds, all the dry flakes will come off and the moisturizer will sink right in! Also, it's NORMAL for it to sting after using BP. Stop complaining, guys. Any moisturizer will sting when combined with BP. It will eventually dissipate. If you wait the 15 minutes it helps and also if you apply a few drops of jojoba prior to the BP it lessens the stinging.

I have been using it for three weeks, following the regimen. The first feeling was that it smelled awful and it was too heavy, but now I got used to the smell. I find different positives and negative aspects depending on the use. If you use it as a part of the regimen it is a good moisturizer because it helps to eliminate flakiness, however you will feel your face greasy and yellow colour, what I do to solve this is grabbing a tissue and pressing it on my face to eliminate these oils that remain after applying, after that if I apply my make up it stays very well. If you use it as a moisturizer and not as a part of the regimen I think you don ´t have all these problems because you can use a normal ammount and your skin will not have problems absorving it and you will not have that yellow residue. I know it because sometimes I need to wash my face and what I do after is putting a normal ammount and then I love how it works.

Love the composition of this cream, I find it moisturises the skin well without leaving me too greasy. However, my skin still feels a little tight, despite adding jojoba oil when applying.

This product has received a lot of flak lately, but my experience has been the opposite of what most people report. I have naturally dry skin, and this is the only moisturizer I've tried that can adequately prevent my skin from flaking. Additionally, it does NOT require a copious amount to work. I typically only use 1-2 pumps in the morning and 2-3 pumps at night, and this works quite well for me. In terms of moisturizing quality, it is top notch. Now, for the negatives: I hear a lot of people praise its "matte finish", yet this has not been my experience at all. It leaves my skin VERY shiny and oily. However, this is easily solved with a simple pat-down with a tissue before I leave for the day. Additionally, the "dries transparent" claim has not been true for me. There is a noticeable yellow tinge to my skin, and especially my eyebrows after applying this product. When I pat down with a tissue and then examine the tissue (even if I applied the moisturizer an hour or so earlier) the tissue is very yellow in color. However, all-in-all, the shiny finish is most likely due to the jojoba oil and the yellow tint is obviously due to the licorice root extract. I'm willing to bet that the jojoba oil is what combats my flaking so well, and the licorice root extract has shown in studies to be quite beneficial. So, in my opinion, the positive qualities of this product far outweigh the negatives.

This is a great product that doesn't clog my pores and is helping in Dan's regemine to clear my acne. I love how its not greasy (cause i have enough of my own grease to spare :P) So i recomend it :)

So i've been on the regimen for about a week and my skin is clearing up slowly but i usually have oily skin and after going on this regimen i noticed i have extremely dry skin now. I have dry patches all over my face and my skin is always so itchy and it sometimes stings. I apply a pretty heavy duty moisturizer and my skin still itches and the dry patches are still there. I literally have dry patches under my eyes where i usually put my concealer. I don't even know how that's possible but if anybody could recommend me some tips or something idk i just need help lol.

Of course I love this product, I have been using it for over a year now and this regimen is literally my miracle and I love love love it. But I ordered this since I ran out, and it arrived in the package with the top broken and the lotion was coated all over the inside, a bit on the outside even, and on the bottle. I cleaned it up and thankfully it wasn't completely broken off (I can still keep it covered), but now I have to deal with the broken pump until I get home (am at college until semester break) and can replace with an old small one I happened to just keep by chance (the one I recently ran out of is a bigger one). Maybe send it in something more protective than a bubble wrap envelope.
