Pros:

Doesn't sting face
Thicker than the last version

Cons:

Turns face orangey/yellowish tint!!!
Doesn't moisturize. Leaves flakey and dry.
Did I mention the orangeish tint I now have?
Oh, and the orange tint.
Let's not forget the orange freaking tint!!!!

Even with the suggested 3 full pumps and 5-6 drops of jojoba oil my face is extremely flakey. I feel like I am wearing a thick mask. I despise this lotion. It is the devil. It leaves everything to be desired. Don't listen to the creator who says it won't turn your face yellow. The proof is in the pudding. Reddish skin from the b/p combined with yellow tinted moisturezer (can I even call it a moisturizer when it doesn't in fact moisturize?) turns your skin orange. I call bullhockey about it not turning face yellowey. I'm frustrated that no one over in create-this-stuff ville will listen to me and it is deny deny deny. I didn't like the stinging from the last moisturizer but anything is better than orange freaking pastry skin.

Pros:

Absorbs pretty well, calms skin quite well.

Cons:

Flaking-control right around 0%, clumps up a bit.

It's decent, but can't handle winter flakes. Good for non-regimen users.

Pros:

Cons:

left an odd film on my face
I have mod svr acne and it made it worse!
I liked the old one mstrzr better
DID I MENTION IT MADE MY ACNE WORSE!

This product for some reason just isn't working. I am doing the regimen EXACTLY as prescribed. I thought I was really getting under control with the previous Regimen and someone even commented my face looked acne free! I never thought I would hear that again ever... (Up until 30, I had the most perfect skin ever with no fancy creams/regimen used and heard it all the time!) Sorry Dan, I love your website and all you have done to make me feel less alienated with acne at any older age, but I can not say yes to this new formula.

You have to use a lot which is making the new version extremely expensive.
Not moisturizering at all.
Strange colour that bleaches clothes.
Expensive
Old moisturizer balls up at the mouth of the pump

The old version was nice and worked fine. This version does not work at all. Please bring back the old version or upgrade this one.

Pros:

-Leaves a somewhat better texture than old formula

Cons:

-STINGS badly when applying BP now
-Flakes really quickly
-Needs twice the amount to moisturize compared to last moisturizer
-Redness (likely from stinging)
-Leaves skin feeling excessively tight/dry

I've been on the regimen for four years and all of the products and improvements have impressed me until now. This moisturizer is abysmal and I really don't know what was going on for it to replace the old one which was working fantastically. "If it ain't broke, don't try to fix it!" Bring back the old moisturizer!!! I prefer a negligible amount of shiny-ness instead of tight, stingy, flaky skin. :(

Which moisturizer you using now?

Pros:

Cons:

Does not Moisturize

I have been on Dan's system for six months and I love it. It has all but eliminated my acne. However, I got this new formula moisturizer a week ago and it is terrible. It caused my face to feel tight and then after a few days flakes started to appear. I tried upping the dose and using it three to four times a day. Finally I just gave up and used my travel size Original Formula, and it immediately took care of my flakes. I will continue to buy Dan's BP and cleanser, but I will be buying a new moisturizer today. Dan, e-mail me when you bring back the original formula.

Pros:

Cons:

yellow color
leaves skin red, dry and irritated
greasy, but doesn't moisturize

Unfortunately this moisturizer is really bad for the skin - after reading the other reviews here I am glad I'm not the only one experiencing this, but it also concerns me. This lotion should not be sold any longer and I would not recommend it to anyone, let alone to someone with sensitive, acne prone skin! I am really hoping to get a refund.

-Burns

-BURNS

This moisturizer really ruins my day. I know when ever I put it on my face will be red and irritated for the rest of the day. It burns really bad and leaves my face hurting for a LONG time. I don't know if I am doing something wrong but I am following the directions to the letter. My face is covered with red spots already I don't need to increase the redness anymore =/

Pros:

- Doesn't sting
- Makes skin less shiny in comparison to the old moisturizer

Cons:

- Doesn't moisturize very well
- Have to use much more which makes it more expensive
- Gave me strange under the skin bumps

I've been using the regimen for about a year now with great results. I was quite enthousiastic about the new moisturizer and did not believe all the negative reviews, but it really is a step back. In order to get the same results I have to use six full pumps which is way to much. Additional moisturizer has to be ordered which makes the regimen a lot more expensive. Besides these extra cost it also gave me these strange under the skin bumps which went away when I started using extra benzyol peroxide. The old moisturizer seemed to work on the acne too something which the new moisturizer seems to be lacking. If you can tolerate it I recommend using the AHA as a moisturizer. Gave me better results and far less is needed. Adding extra virgin olive oil to the moisturizer at night seems to work too.

Pros:

Didn't add to my pimples

Cons:

Ran into my eyes everyday by the end of the night!
Must use large quantities.
Really hard to put makeup on over, since it takes so much to moisturize.
Never really got rid of the flakiness no matter how much I use.

I haven't had too much luck using the new version of the moisturizer, but I would be interested in trying the old. I have used new moisturizer for several months, with just "okay" results. I initially thought that I was just not using enough moisturizer, so I started using about 4 pumps, in addition to 3-4 drops of jojoba oil. My biggest problem with this is that all the oil from the moisturizer will actually start getting into my eyes toward the end of the day. I am a contact lenses wearer, and I couldn't figure out why my vision was getting so cloudy. I stopped wearing all my eye makeup and i narrowed it down to the moisturizer! I started using a different moisturizer and the problem has disappeared completely. I'm surprised that no one else has complained of this problem yet. Even when I was using massive quantities of the moisturizer along with AHA, I was never able to fully get rid of my dryness. I am currently in pursuit of a new moisturizer.
