Pros:

light on the skin and moisturized a bit

Cons:

-leaves yellow tint on skin
-burning/tingling sensation after applying it
-left my skin a bit red
-too much for skin to handle

It's a creamy moisturizer, great if it were more sensitive but in combination with an already oily face it made my acne flare up at times. It leaves your face with a yellow tint and burns when you apply it. I recommend if your face is extremely dry, other than that get a better moisturizer.

Pros:

light, goes on nicely (very smooth and creamy), soothing

Cons:

price, sometimes takes a while to absorb into skin

As a little background, I am on Dan's Regimen so I use this moisturizer in conjunction with Dan's cleanser and benzoyl peroxide. I naturally have very oily (and acne-prone) skin, and I have darker skin so the yellow coloration that people have been complaining about has been imperceptible. With that in mind, I have been using this moisturizer for a month and it has been controlling my flakes fine. I have been using the full dosage and, though I get a few flakes in the last hour or so before my night shower, throughout the day any dryness is nonexistent. I apply a lot of the dosage on my chin and around my mouth and cheek bone, as that is the place that gets the driest for me. It's unfortunate that this moisturizer is getting such a bad rap, because it feels great when it goes on my skin. Actually, if I do not wait long enough (>15 minutes) after my BP application, the moisturizer creates a slight burning sensation (nothing as unbearable, to me, as mentioned in a few other reviews I've read on here), but if I allow the BP to soak in the moisturizer feels great! The consistency is runny enough to go over my skin nicely. Sometimes, when I am generous in my application, the moisturizer takes a while (perhaps <20 minutes) to fully absorb. This of course forces me to make sure I do my routine well before I leave my home, but I don't believe any perceptual greasiness or shininess persists throughout the day. I know that the moisturizer makes my skin feel great throughout the day. Also, I did not want to write this in the pros, because I don't know if it is because of the cleanser or benzoyl peroxide, but since starting the Regimen my skin has felt very smooth. I don't know if it is the moisturizer or not but I would not be surprised. While I wrote "price" as a con I realize that this is a very high-quality moisturizer. I would prefer it to be cheaper, but I feel as if Dan is by no means ripping me (a tight-budgeted college studen

Pros:

lightweight
moisturizes well
doesn't make face red
doesn't irritate like the old formula

Cons:

has a bit of a yellow tint, but it subsides
leaves skin a bit shiny

I have been on the Regimen for about 2 years, and have been using the new moisturizer ever since it came out. My acne used to be moderately severe, but now it's quite light, and this moisturizer has been heavenly for the past few months. Honestly, it is much better than the original. I'm actually amazed by all the negative comments here...! The jojoba oil and licorice root extract in this new formula have really worked at calming my skin. I've found that, yes, it can sting, but this only occurs if I don't wait long enough between applying BP and moisturizer. I know that Dan says 15 mins. is enough, but if you wait 30-45 mins., the moisturizer really does not sting very much at all! I am left slightly red/irritated for maybe 5-10 mins, but after that my skin is hydrated, feels fresh, and although slightly oily, the tight feeling from the BP is completely gone! Once, I had to go back to what I had left of the old formula for a few weeks, and it was then that I realized the BP was not causing my redness... the old moisturizer was. Right when I put it on, it left me looking like a tomato for hours afterwards. This new formula does have a yellow tint, and maybe it's because my skin color has tones of yellow already, but once it sinks into the skin I doubt it would be that noticeable. The new moisturizer has never left me as embarrassed or ashamed of my redness as the old formula had. I remember being mortified when someone in class asked why my skin was bright orange (and no it wasn't from a tan, haha)! I honestly believe that this new formula is gentler and more effective for acne-prone skin when applied properly, especially after waiting long enough for your acne treatment to dry beforehand. I also use this moisturizer on my neck and hands, and I really have only positive things to say about it. As part of the Regimen, this moisturizer has definitely helped me get rid of my acne and get back my confidence.

Pros:

None

Cons:

Colors your skin, stings after application of BP, Doesn't moisturize, leaves skin greasy.

I really did try to like this product but the reality is that this moisturizer just doesn't work at all. I made the mistake of applying it to my neck and it just made it horribly dry, itchy, and I broke out in a rash. Save your money.

Pros:

Lightweight
drys quickly
no odor
very hydrating

Cons:

When you use the product correctly there isn't anything negative to say!

I've had acne since I was a teenager and now well into adulthood I was desperate and given up the search to find something that would work for me. I've tried ProActive, Murid, Skin Id, nothing worked. I reluctantly decided to try the Regiman and at first nothing changed but I stuck to it and now I have BEAUTIFUL SKIN! The other day someone actually complimented me on how clear my skin looks...I was shocked! You know it works when other people notice!! I'm not one to write review but if you've given up hope I challenge you to try this product you will not be disappointed.

Pros:

None.

Cons:

Leaves my skin looking yellow.
Makes my skin look extremely oily and shiny.
Does not moisturize or hydrate my skin whatsoever.
Leaves my skin feeling tight and dry.
It stings.

Yes, I've only used this product for less than a week, but I honestly can't take it anymore. I have never in my life experienced a moisturizer quite like this one. It absolutely amazes me that a "moisturizer" this capable of leaving my skin looking like an oil slick at the same time provides absolutely no hydration whatsoever. It leaves my skin feeling tight and irritated (it stings quite a bit actually), and using jojoba oil to relieve the dryness doesn't exactly help the oily appearance of my skin. My skin is a combination type and really tough, I've never had any problems with irritation when using other products. Also, there's the color. Maybe it's just more visible on my skin because I'm so pale, but now I look like an Oompa-Loompa. It's really that bad.

Pros:

This moisturizer is very light and refreshing and applying it feels great. Unlike the previous Acne.org moisturizer, this one doesn't leave my face looking shiny and feeling slick. Once it has absorbed, I completely forget that it's there.

Cons:

It's rather costly, and does require a slightly larger amount of product to adequately moisturize. It will also leave yellow stains on light cloth after repeated exposure. I learned this the hard way with my pillow covers.

This moisturizer has completely eliminated my flakiness, something the original moisturizer came close to doing, but could never quite accomplish. It also feels great, and doesn't leave annoying residue behind. Unlike the other more tiresome aspects of the regimen, I actually look forward to applying this moisturizer. It has a real cooling and calming effect on my skin and feels like the perfect remedy after slathering myself with BP. The increased price is a bummer, but the benefits of this new formula outweigh the costs in my opinion. It also does leave yellow stains on things like sheets after repeated exposures. Although this is something I'm pretty used to considering BP does the same thing, it's still pretty frustrating. Many have commented that this moisturizer requires more product to work properly. This hasn't been my experience. I use three pumps (from the newer bottles), which is slightly more than I was using with the original. Considering I use 4 pumps of BP to keep my acne under control, I think this is pretty good. Still, I'm surprised to hear so many people commenting that they need 6+ pumps as I haven't found that to be necessary in the slightest.

Pros:

calms redness
moisturizes
ease of use
big bottles

Cons:

not moisturizing enough
stains clothes
does not control flakes
makes me looks shiny
gets crusty around opening of pump

wish there was a middle ground between the new and old moisturizers. (ie. more emollient like the old one with some [but not so much!] licorice extract like the new one)

Pros:

Very moisturizing/hydrating
Does not flake
Does not ball up
Lightweight
Sensitive
Calming

Cons:

None!

This product is by far much better than the previous moisturizer. Atleast I did not like it one but, then I started to USE MORE with some jojoba oil and it has quickly become my holy grail moisturizer. A lot of people have a problem with it being too water, shake the bottle before you pump it out and use more! Once you learn how to use it properly you will love it too!! (:
