Pros:

None

Cons:

Gave me strange bumps under the skin. Also gave me red streak marks and itchiness. Doesn't appear to be allergy tested.

I was so eager to try the new moisturizer, but I must have some type of allergic reaction to the ingredients. My skin felt itchy after I applied it. Then I started getting little red streak marks and under-the-skin bumps. Still I continued to use the moisturizer over the acne.org BP for the next four days, despite the under-the-skin bumps and little red streak marks. But the red streak marks and under-the-skin bumps did not go away-- they persisted and increased!!! Now I have four under-the-skin bumps and two red marks on my face. My face was nearly clear until I used this moisturizer!!!! To make matters worse, when I get these red marks and bumps, I get scars. And I scar very badly since my skin is olive-colored and prone to hyperpigmentation scars that last forever. Looking at another review, I see I'm not the only one experiencing this weird allergic reaction to the new moisturizer. I don't wear makeup at all. I stay out of the sun so I don't wear sunscreen -- so that eliminates any other possible irritants or culprits. I don't normally wear anything on my face except acne.org BP, and honestly I did not mind all the flakes from dryness. It looks like I'll have to go back to being my flaky, dry, BP-only bare-faced self again. I am VERY bitterly disappointed. Sorry, but I would rather walk around with my skin FLAKING TO DEATH than be moisturized and experiencing all these weird bumps and red streak marks. At least flakes don't scar my skin.

Pros:

-Non-comedogenic
-Helps with my flaking a lot better than other regimen recommended moisturizers

Cons:

-It burns when you first put it on
-It makes my vision cloudy/tired by the end of the day (I believe another reviewer mentioned the same problem)
-It makes my skin look very greasy
-Pricey

I have been following the regimen for a month now. I used Cetaphil as my moisturizer, but my flaking was out of control and I was concerned about some of its comedogenic ingredients. I decided to try the Acne.org moisturizer. Even though my flaking was mostly under control, I found the cons to outweigh the pros. I will be going back to Cetaphil for the time being and will start trying out other non-comedogenic moisturizers until I find one I really like.

Pros:

Contains licorice root extract for soothing
Yellow tint can help hide acne in some skin tones

Cons:

Does not fully counteract the drying properties of benzoyl peroxide in my case

My background: Naturally (when not on the Regimen) my skin is neither oily nor dry, it takes care of itself in that aspect; also my skin is not particularly sensitive, just acne prone. When using the BP, it is perfectly normal for it to dry your skin out. The moisturizer is supposed to combat that, and it doesn't. I have to add jojoba oil to get it to even remotely work, which leaves my face very shiny and oily, not soft. The AHA+ is a much better moisturizer once you're a few weeks along in the Regimen, but should only be used sparingly. I think I will go hunting for a new moisturizer because this one isn't cutting it for me.

Pros:

- Doesn't sting
- Makes skin less shiny in comparison to the old moisturizer

Cons:

- Doesn't moisturize very well
- Have to use much more which makes it more expensive
- Gave me strange under the skin bumps

I've been using the regimen for about a year now with great results. I was quite enthousiastic about the new moisturizer and did not believe all the negative reviews, but it really is a step back. In order to get the same results I have to use six full pumps which is way to much. Additional moisturizer has to be ordered which makes the regimen a lot more expensive. Besides these extra cost it also gave me these strange under the skin bumps which went away when I started using extra benzyol peroxide. The old moisturizer seemed to work on the acne too something which the new moisturizer seems to be lacking. If you can tolerate it I recommend using the AHA as a moisturizer. Gave me better results and far less is needed. Adding extra virgin olive oil to the moisturizer at night seems to work too.

Pros:

....

Cons:

it has made my skin realllll greasy

i apply a minimal amount of moisturiser, the baaaare minimum, wait for it to absorb, apply my make up, looks great then WHAM, within a couple hours my face is the shiny show. honestly? i hate it ¬ ¬ this is definitely recommended to those with dry skin, but for us with oily skin, it's literally frying pan to fire.

Pros:

-Moisturizes well
-Absorbs fully and quickly
-Gets rid of flakiness and dryness when proper amount is used, or used with jojoba oil

Cons:

-Leaves my face a bit oily after it dries (although that could be because I add jojoba oil to it)
-Sometimes drips down my neck and face
-A little bit sticky

I use this mainly at night and mix it with a little jojoba oil before I go to bed because it gives my face a far too oily appearance for daily use. However it works like a charm! My face is flake free when I wake up and no residue is left on my face. The only complaint I have is that it's a bit sticky and it feels a bit awkward to lay sideways on a pillow. Other than that it's a great product!

Pros:

provides non-greasy, soothing moisture...absorbs well...matte finish...non-comedogenic..cost-effective...

Cons:

none that I can see...

I've been using the entire acne.org line for about a month now, and I adore everything I've tried. I never used the original version of the moisturizer, but I'm quite amazed at the "bad press" the current one is getting. This, in conjunction with the bp, cleanser, aha and jojoba keeps the oil at bay and the new blemishes to a minimum. Great products for my adult/hormonal breakouts.

Pros:

Works great
Face feels great
Absorbs fast
Doesn't irritate my face

Cons:

Leaves a light yellow tint on skin
Takes 4-5 pumps to fully moisturize face & neck

This moisturizer does its job. It requires 4-5 pumps to fully moisturize but it does what its supposed to do. My face feels like nothing has been put on it. My face feels soft and healthy. No flaking at all! Absorbs in about 5 minutes for me. Love it!

Pros:

The only moisturizer I have EVER found that doesn't break me out.

Cons:

Takes a long time to dry

I haven't used the old moisturizer, so I don't have anything to compare to. But overall, I am thrilled with this whole system. I have had moderate acne for 20 years and this moisturizer is the only one I have EVER found that doesn't break me out. I have always had very oily skin, but the Acne.org BP treatment is very drying, and the moisturizer is perfect. My skin is not oily at all now.

Pros:

Didn't add to my pimples

Cons:

Ran into my eyes everyday by the end of the night!
Must use large quantities.
Really hard to put makeup on over, since it takes so much to moisturize.
Never really got rid of the flakiness no matter how much I use.

I haven't had too much luck using the new version of the moisturizer, but I would be interested in trying the old. I have used new moisturizer for several months, with just "okay" results. I initially thought that I was just not using enough moisturizer, so I started using about 4 pumps, in addition to 3-4 drops of jojoba oil. My biggest problem with this is that all the oil from the moisturizer will actually start getting into my eyes toward the end of the day. I am a contact lenses wearer, and I couldn't figure out why my vision was getting so cloudy. I stopped wearing all my eye makeup and i narrowed it down to the moisturizer! I started using a different moisturizer and the problem has disappeared completely. I'm surprised that no one else has complained of this problem yet. Even when I was using massive quantities of the moisturizer along with AHA, I was never able to fully get rid of my dryness. I am currently in pursuit of a new moisturizer.
