Pros:

The only good thing about it is it goes on light and absorbs well with Benzoyl Peroxide.

Cons:

It does not moisturize. I have been using the regimen for several years now with no problems at all, but this moisturizer has really messed up my skin. It does not moisturize well at all, my skin is extremely dry and flaky. I have experienced many breakouts and I am SO FED UP RIGHT NOW that this product was changed. I have not changed anything else other then this moisturizer in the regimen so I know it is the culprit.

Please bring back the Old formula moisturizer, I know it is still sold in 2 ounce bottles but that is not cost effective. Now I have to order 8 of those at $5 A piece for a grand total of $40 for one months supply of moisturizer. Please offer both products Dan in the same economical large bottles. PLEASE! Nothing else is working well.

Pros:

â–  Absorbs well
â–  Doesn't make the skin sting

Cons:

â–  DOES NOT MOISTURIZE!
â–  Creates flakes
â–  Takes 6-7 minutes to penetrate
â–  Leaves a yellow residue on collars
â–  More expensive than the older one
â–  Too much jojoba oil in it (makes oily skins very shiny and may be comedogenic)

Dan, The old moisturizer made my skin sting sometimes but was deeply moisturizing. We love your products, so please bring back glycerin in your moisturizer (maybe in a smaller proportion to reduce the sting) and remove licochalcone to cut down the price.

Cons:

Really don't like the new moisturizer formula. It has caused my skin to start flaking off and no matter the amount, my skin looks awful!

Loved the old formula! Will still use the cleanser and treatment, but will have to find a new moisturizer ASAP unless Dan come's back with the old formula.

Pros:

Doesn't sting

Cons:

Simply not moisturising enough for me
Takes a long time to absorb

I can't see how I can give a moisturiser that doesn't moisturise my skin properly anything more than 1 out of 5. Whilst the old acne.org moisturiser stung a little sometimes, it always took care of flakiness for me, even if it was a bit shiny in the summer. I've been using this new formula for a fortnight now (3 pumps, as is now recommended) and my skin feels tight and itchy like it did in my first few weeks on the regimen back in 2008. The flakes formed straight away, and what's more, they're yellow! I'm now having to use less BP than I'd like and I'm worried that my reasonably clear skin may breakout for the first time in a while. I panic-ordered some jojoba oil from Amazon. I never had to add jojoba oil to the old moisturiser, and frankly, I don't see why I should with this one. After all, it does contain it. Anyway, by the time I receive the jojoba oil, I will be using a different moisturiser. I've ordered some Cetaphil Moisturising Lotion as I feel my skin is better off with a Glycerin-based moisturiser like before. I just hope it works and doesn't have any adverse effects - on the 'Products Guide' page, Dan seems to question its non-comedogenic claims, so I'm slightly apprehensive. But most reviews seem positive or very similar to reviews of the old acne.org moisturiser, which I was satisfied with. It's a shame that I've had to look elsewhere for a moisturiser, and I'm quite surprised at the amount of people who are having similar experiences. One thing's for sure though, I will keep importing the acne.org BP for as long as I have acne-prone skin - it's second to none. It's just, the moisturiser used to be too.

Pros:

feels good when applying as very silky texture

Cons:

Doesn't moisturise nearly as well as previous one.
Skin is constantly flaky and red, even after reapplying several times a day.

I get that a lot of people love the new moisturiser, but it doesn't suit everyone. What I cannot understand is that why we can't have a choice so that the people who love the new one can keep buying the new one and the people who love the old one can keep getting a supply of that too! Everybody's happy then, right? I don't even care if I have to pay more for the old version ( I already pay about $200 for a 6 months supply by the time it ships to me in England and custom charges are applied, and am very happy to pay that for calm skin), just please make it available again.

Pros:

NONE

Cons:

It does not moisturize as well as the old one. Has a yellowish tint and wont take care of your flakiness ..

The old one was awesome. I have used it for 2 years with great success. Dan - have you ever heard of a saying - if it ain't broken, don't fix it? Look at the ratings of your new mousturizer vs the old one. I thought you cared about people and one would think you would bring it back in addution to the new one.

Pros:

-Moisturizes somewhat

Cons:

-Takes long to absord
-Tightness after showering
-Flakiness
-Just doesn't seem to do its job

Not happy with this after a week of use so far - I have been diligent with the regimen and all the minute details - still have issues with this moisturizer. Throughout the day I get flakiness and often times its too late, I will have gone half the day with this stuff showing up on my face, people must think I'm sick or something... Also, it takes FOREVER to absorb. I run an extremely tight schedule and though I squeeze in time to properly do the regimen, this stuff is stubborn as hell to get into my body. Seems like the best and only time to really apply this is after shaving when the skin seems most absorbent. Please change this formula to absorb easier, and also add in some spf for sunscreen protection.

Pros:

None

Cons:

Makes acne worse.
Stings and irritates skin.
Yellow color stains clothing unless you let it completely dry.
Does not go on as smooth.

First, I would like to say that I was in love with the old moisturizer and the whole system. My acne was finally under control. This has not been the case since I placed another order and got the new moisturizer. My acne is no longer under control and my face is very irritated. I do not know what I am going to do.

Pros:

-nice texture

Cons:

-weird smell
-leaves skin taught and flaky after a couple of hours
-absolutely unnecessary product, skin better without it than with it

I don't know what this thing is supposed to do, but it certainly does not moisturize. I follow the regimen, and as a result suffer from pretty dry skin (but my acne went from moderate to nonexistent). When I put this on during the day, I cannot put makeup over it because my skin gets this weird dry texture, so makeup looks disgusting. I always have to remove my makeup, exfoliate, and then moisturize with something else in order to leave the house. I tried to wear this at night, and for a week woke up with dry skin, dry to the point that it was flakey in some areas. I even use the full two pumps, which I think clearly speaks to the fact that this moisturizer is ineffective! Don't waste your money!
