Excellent moisturizer

Pros:

This moisturizer feels good on the skin. It is light, so it doesn't feel heavy on your face. It is not shiny or greasy, and gives your skin a good color or glow.
Nice feel, nice look. Definitely will NOT break you out.
Lightweight and soothing to the skin.

Cons:

Sometimes in the

I'm updating my previous review. This is the best moisturizer on the market, bar none. And despite what some other grumpy reviewers say, it far superior to Dan's old moisturizer (which was last available three years ago, so give it up already). The licorice root extract found in this product is very calming and soothing to the skin. The moisturizer goes on light and when it dries you quickly forget you have anything on your very face. It's very moisturizing and soothing. In the dead of winter, I find that occasionally I still have flakes, so sometimes I mix this at night with jojoba oil. That solves the problem. Also, if you think this leaves a shine, just do what you should do with all moisturizing products. Twenty minutes after application, gently pat your face with a paper towel. Shiny look gone. I get angered by a few of the poor reviews here, because this is truly an amazing product. Try it.

Pros:

-Lightweight
-Soothing/Calming
-Non-Irritating
-Very Hydrating

Cons:

Mild Scent

Before this I was using Cetaphil's moisturizer and although it hydrated my skin fairly well, it always felt thick and It made my skin feel tight and stiff after using it. Besides the fact that it always stung and burned after I applied after the BP. Dan's new moisturizer is amazing! It is lightweight and very hydrating, doesn't sting or burn, and doesn't make my face feel tight or stiff, but rather soft, smooth, and normal. The smell is very mild and I can't really even notice it. I am careful when applying it so as to not get it on my clothes since I have read that the yellow tint of this product can stain clothing. I couldn't be happier with this product! By far the best moisturizer I've used. Way to go Dan, you're awesome!

Pros:

No stinging or redness, no tackiness or stickiness!!! very mositurizing

Cons:

none

Moisturizing had always been a problem for me, because it made my face slightly red during the day, and at night I HATED how my face would feel sticky against the pillow. This stuff goes on smoothly and does not make my face feel sticky, so I can actually go to sleep soon after putting it on. thank god!!!! and dan. also, dan says use 2 pumps, but 1 was plenty for me.

Disappointed! Bad moisturizer!
This thick white formulation is clogging on my pores, it is causing breakouts, pimples on my skin until I switch to a new moisturizer. My skin does not break out anymore with the new moisturizer. Very disappointed with Acne.org, why did you change the formulation for acne.org's moisturizer? I have been a loyal user for years but will not be repurchasing Acne.org's moisturiser anymore!

Please can you share what moisturizer worked for you. I am looking for a new moisturizer as this acne.org moisturizer no longer works for me. Dan bring back the old moisturizer.

It's obvious you're toxic, the majority are complaining how bad the new moisturizer has been. You must really have some mental issues.

Leaves skin tight/dry
Since the formula change, I've been strictly using this on my body. It works well for that purpose. Every couple of months, I (erroneously) try to use it on my face and wow, I get a quick reminder why I stopped using it. Leaves my skin very tight, even when I put it over a layer of jojoba oil. Really hoping that the formula changes, and am grateful that Daniel Kern is listening to his customers. I've been using the face wash for over 10 years and really want to go back to using the moisturizer.

Bring back original please
The original yellow formula was a very good moisturizer. I know he says that removing the color has nothing to do with the products formula but somehow it does! I’m writing this review in an effort to join many other reviews here advocating to bring back the original moisturizer with the yellow color and all!! PLEASE ! :)

New formula is absolutely horrible

I have reliably been using this product for 4-5 years, and it was the only moisturizer that didn’t irritate my skin or interact with any of my other products in a negative way. To the founder, you keep telling people that have used this product for years that the change in the formula is too small to cause all these new negative effect; maybe you should just accept that this was an unnecessary change to an other wise perfect formula. I have no skin allergies, and haven’t reacted to poorly to your moisturizer for years. With this new formula, my skin is half as moisturized, and I broke out in small whiteheads bumps all over my face, which has NEVER happened with another moisturizer or your old formula. Would not recommend this. And for someone who understand how sensitive acne prone skin can be, it’s quite ridiculous for the founder to tell people that changing the extract and adding 2.5 times the amount won’t affect how the lotion acts on skin. And I actually observed these horrible effects before reading that the formula had change, so it’s far from a placebo effect.

Old moisturizer- awesome! No issues. New ingredient moisturizer=terrible dermatitis (chemical burn like effects)

Using this product for maybe 10 years, all good, no issues. This newly updated moisturizer causes terrible face burns and swelling. /profile/1-dan/?do=hovercard" data-mentionid="1" href="<___base_url___>/profile/1-dan/" rel="">@Dan, please change the ingredients back. Seeing all the other reviews helped me narrow down what was causing my issues recently.

Hi. I'm sorry to hear this. I assume you're talking about the moisturizer now that it has a slightly different form of licorice root in it. People can have an allergy to any ingredient, but an allergy to the new type of licorice root I put in there is exceedingly rare. It's one of the reasons I am excited to be using it. However, nothing else about the product has changed, so perhaps you are allergic to this particular type of licorice root. Stop using it right away of course and proceed with a different non-comedogenic facial moisturizer.

Also, think about if you possibly used any other product recently. Since allergy to the new licorice root I put in the moisturizer is so rare, you want to make sure you're not reacting to something else in another product you're using.

I commend Dan for addressing so many of these bad ratings and concerns for so long before they just became rampant. Everything he said is true and only makes sense. Not literally everyone is having this experience. I was actually not even aware anyone was having an issue until I updated my account password and started looking to review and see reviews of products. I was going to rate this product a 5 star, but I already had done so LOL

New formulation caused horrible dermatitis

I am so heartbroken that the moisturizer in the regimen now is causing a huge case of dermatitis! I have been using it for 8 years, but several months ago a bought some new bottles and this moisturizer has changed. It is causing burning, itching, and seeping blisters on my face. I am so disappointed.

Mixed feelings about this product.
I love acne.org products except for this one. This is the worst Acne.org product unfortunately. During the peeling period of the regimen(which is a month), it does NOTHING. Even if it is applied every hour. The good thing is it did not or does not break me out. CONS: Does NOT absorb into the skin. It leaves your skin looking oily like a pizza. It has a yellow tinge to it which makes you look like you have hepatitis (not a good look, on a already acne-ridden face). No SPF protection :( Note: I did not want to throw it away, so I use it as a moisturizer for my neck. It works well there.
