Worked So Well
I have been on this drug now for 5 months and it has worked wonders! I used to have moderate/severe acne especially on my cheeks and chin, now my face is virtually clear all of the time with just the occasional spot. It took a while before it really kicked in but since then I have had amazing results. The only problems I have had are bad bloating and quite dry skin but with the results it has given me it's a small price to pay! I would urge anyone who suffers with acne to go to their doctor and try this drug, although it doesn't work for everyone it has done a great job for me and it might for you too.

1month
I've suffered from persistent mild acne since I was 12, I thought it was something that would go away with age, but I'm now 23 and even though I've found methods to break out less, I still have continued to break out regardless. Finally asked my gp for an oral treatment, he gave me Tetrasyl to take once a day. At first my acne wasnt improving, then I started to notice a difference in my skin, which became considerably less oily. One thing I definitely noticed with this is that if I missed my dose by 8 hours for example I'd end up with a break out. So it is definitely something you have to take at the same time each day. Also I didn't really see a noticeable improvement till the 3rd week where I realised I had barely any breakouts. After a month, I am now on lymecylcine 400mg but I have just started so it is difficult to say if my skin will continue to improve. I will definitely post again after another month. One final note, my gp actually said that lymecyline takes a while to see a major difference so definitely stick with it!

After 2/3 weeks my skin is CLEAR!!!
I'm 19 years old, I've never had severely bad acne, was put on a few topical treatments when I was around 13 because I was uncomfortable having bad skin at this age, these treatments did the job I guess.. Stopped being on any treatment around the age of 16, and hadnt been on any until about 3 weeks ago when I had this sudden outbreak which was so random, never had anything like it, all my forehead was red and bumpy, and I had dozens of tiny pimples across my chin, up towards my ears and down my neck, it was horrible, and ITCHY!!! I assumed it must have been an allergic reaction to something but I couldn't think what, also prickly heat crossed my mind.. After roughly a week of this irritation I went to the doctors, and he assured me it was acne, I was really surprised because I really didn't think it could be acne, just because of the nature of the pimples and because I've never had it this bad before. He prescribed me with lymecycline to take 1 tablet a day, he also prescribed me with differin 0.1% topical gel (galderma), and antihistamines.. I've been on all 3 prescriptions for about 2/3 weeks and my skin is CLEAR!!!! Obviously had the odd 1 or 2 pimple but all the ones on my neck have completely gone, none on my cheeks, as I type this, at this moment in time I have 1 on my forehead, and 1 on my chin.. But who can complain about that?! I'm not sure which prescription has worked the magic but I really recommend these tablets plus the differin gel!!! No side effects/ complications.. I've been prescribed the course of lymecycline for 2 months, so I will see what happens after I stop taking them, but fingers crossed!

More spots
Hi, I'm wondering if anyone can give me any hope for the Lymecycline, I have been on it for 4 weeks now for mild acne. Just over a week now I have really bad spots come up on my chest, neck and shoulders which I never suffered with this severe. My face hasn't improved if anything got slightly worse. The Dr has just said persevere with it! I'm regretting going on these tablets as I was hoping they would either work or not work not make me a lot worse! Can anyone tell me if they've suffered in the same way and what have you done? What would happen if I decided to stop taking them would the chances of the new spots going be slim? Look forward to some advice.

Pros:

I have rather severe acne and it helped clear acne from my face. The process is very slow though and you won't really notice the difference until the first month. Also, this tablet will do nothing for acne scars which is what im left with. I'm going to stick on these antibiotics for another two months which is what my doctor reccommended just to make sure It doesn't come back.

Cons:

-They're big tablets.

-Sometimes when you burp or breath you can taste the tablet in your mouth which isn't pleasant.

They don't have any side effects, well at least none that I noticed. It will take some time, so just stick with it.

(First of all, sorry for my English, i'm French!) My dermatologist prescribed me Tetralysal because I had light/moderate acne. During the first weeks, I started to break out in HUGE pimples, and in places that I never broke out before. After the 3 months, my skin was the same as it was before the treatment. No amelioration. But, a few days after the end of Tetralysal, I started to break out. And weeks after weeks, my acne started to become really bad. Now I have cystic acne all over my cheeks, my jawline and my chin, so yeah my acne is pretty severe. I feel disgusting, you just can't feel beautiful with all that stuff on your face. And everybody look at you "ewwww, what's that ?! Maybe you don't wash your face ?" now i wash my face with natural soap (in France, it's called "Savon d'Alep"), then in the evening I apply tomatoe juice (astringeant, good for scars - because lemon didn't work). In the morning, I wash my face with the soap and moisturize. I still have severe acne but it's getting better.

Pros:

no side effects
worked!! but i still have 1-3 spots now and again

Cons:

nothing!

this was the 1st box of antibiotics i used and its pretty good! probably started seeing the effects after a week and it improved after long use. after using it for atleast a year, my skin was almost clear, though i would still have a few odd spots here and there. But i would definitely recommend this product. My brother also used this for probably a year and his skin is completely flawless!he hasn't been taking the antibiotics for a few years now and he's still going strong! so yeah, give this a try!

tetra lies to you
I am going to be honest with you , this product works temporarily because you are using it with a face wash and a treatment cream ,so basically you have to figure out which one is making it better and which one is making it worse , treat your acne inside by lots of water healthy fresh foods and rather use the facial products which is less harmful to your body

Great for acne
I've been taking this about four weeks and my breakouts stopped, but the red marks are not fading, which is my biggest problem. I hope the antibiotics do treat the inflamed marks, but there's still plenty of time to see if they are good at eliminating them. But as far as the acne is concerned, I strongly recommend Lymecycline as it's great at removing spots.

Stopped spots from forming
I had cystic acne which was painful, persistent and extremely stubborn. I was put on these tablets and they did help, it takes a while but they did work. I was on them for a considerable amount of time, perhaps just under a year. Doctor recommended coming off them as you're only really supposed to take them for 6 months I hear... I cant think of any complaints about these tablets apart from the fact that they don't really mix well with hormonal tablets, the pill. Antibiotics and hormone tablets can cause yeast problems, but you have to weigh up whether you would rather have nice skin or a few re-occurring problems ladies. For me I wanted skin not covered in spots. Once coming off these tablets I thankfully didn't break out which I was petrified of. I have combination oily skin and apparently these tablets shrink the sebaceous glands... stopping oil production, maybe that is why they worked well.
