Cons:
Sensitive teeth
I am in my late 20s and never had acne growing up. About 5 years ago, I started getting really bad acne on one side of my face, gradually spreading to my forehead. I tried so many topical creams, gels - both prescription and over-the-counter. I quit eating meat, drank more water, none of this helped. I finally started drinking one squeezed lemon in warm water every morning before work, so 5 times a week. This has almost completely cleared my acne in just on month. I still get occasional hormonal breakouts, but the lemon water has helped greatly. I also use a cleansing pad every morning and Clinique Dramatically Different moisturizer. This, combined with the lemon juice, has done wonders for my skin. The reason I think the lemon juice does so well is that it is cleansing of the liver and kidneys. Cleansing your liver is one of the best things you can do for your skin. If you want to go one giant step further, try Andreas Golitz Amazing Gall Bladder flush. I have yet to try this, but plan to very soon.

Pros:
Clears up acne, great detox for your body, affordable, easy to make.
Cons:
None that I can think of!
This works. I squeeze half a lemon (or sometimes a full lemon) into a cup of hot water. I also add a little honey for some taste. I drink this in the morning right when I wake up. It helps to control my acne and redness. Give it a try! It's easy and affordable!

Lemon can help!
After my garlic treatment accident (I burned my skin) when my skin healed I started to apply lemon on my face.
I must tell you, that it really helps! Helps a lot! It removes blackheads and helps with pimples too. If you dry out your skin you can use a moisturizer after you put lemon on your face. I also started drinking lemon with water, but sometimes i forget to drink it. I can feel that it is more effective if I drink it often. But lemon deserves 5 stars from my side. of course maybe it is not the best solution for everybody, but I tried out lotsf of creams, I also took pills 5 years ago, but my acne came back when I turned to 27. I decided not to take any pills, just give time and try out a lot's of home remedies. Now on my list ACV and lemon are the first one. You can also use it under your make up, as a tonic.

Pros:
Less facial redness
Breakouts minimized
More energy
Fresh complexion
Cons:
Teeth can become sensitive (better to drink through straw)
This is a great remedy for acne. I tried this one night when I was breaking out pretty badly and then the next day the inflamed bumps went down and my skin was soft and dewy. Of course if you want this to really work you also have to change your diet. Remove sugars and simple carbs like breads and cookies, and eat lots of salads and other yummy veggies (try to cut down on starchy veggies like potatoes). Also stay away from processed foods. Canned food always gets me, the day after I eat anything canned and that has a lot of sodium in it makes my face irritated with more breakouts. It best to stick to all natural foods. And remember drink lots of water and take your vitamins :-)

Concerned and really trying not to be
So this past Sunday I decided to switch up my morning routine and find a better alternative for coffee. I recently was experiencing some constipation and bloating so I wanted a warm drink in the morning that can help sooth my body instead of adding more weight to it. On Monday morning felt great! I had a very healthy breakfast, decided to cut more carbs out of my diet and found that the lemon & water gave me less of an appetite. I liked that because it allowed me time to make better food choices and time to prepare meals of my own. However, on Tuesday, I then noticed something different. After a short nap during the day I woke up to a ton of tiny bumps (some looked like little whiteheads) all over my face!!! I went into panic mode! I take REALLY good care of my skin. I never experienced breakouts, rarely experience pimples and never had acne - so to notice this was quite scary!! I assumed that maybe I had an allergic reaction but I knew that couldn't be the case. I had no makeup on, just my moisturizer that I applied earlier in the morning and never experienced "allergies" so suddenly in my room. Needless to say, after some thought I concluded that maybe my health changes and lemon/water detox had something to do with it but I'd rather be certain. Some blogs say that you shouldn't breakout and some say you might. So before I start making dermatologist appointments, I'd like to get a better understand on if my reaction is common and nothing to be too concerned over.

Pros:
Definately clears skin, is good for body and imune system, and makes you feel great
Cons:
sore throat
Most teens get acne because their livers' have a hard time cleaning out their body of impurities like puss and all the junk. Lemon juice has been proven to help detoxify your body and liver. Great for health and apperance. (Work great even better if you also apply the lemon juice to your face)

Pros:
Plesant in the right amount! Also, VERY affordable and effective.
Cons:
This treatment may strip the enamel on teeth if prevenative measures are not taken.
Hey you guys,
Please be careful! You are drinking wayyyy too much lemon juice! A HALF of one lemon in one cup of water is PLENTY! Do this first thing in the morning on an empty stomache. You should not have a need to drink it at night, but it won't hurt. However, a small amount of undiluted lemon juice applied topically at night (with a Q-Tip) to the problem area is better. You may also squeeze then strain fresh lemon juice and mix one part juice to two parts filtered water and put in a spray bottle. Use this as a mist for hard to reach areas of your body at night and rinse off by morning. Good luck! (PS: If you are worried about acid errosion, use a straw or 'Pronamel' toothpaste or something similar.)

Pros:
Tasted good
Sour
Settles stomach
Clears minor acne
Refreshes breath after meal
Cons:
Thins enamel on teeth
Messes with sinuses
The drink is for those with a palate for sour foods/ drinks, minor acne, and upset stomachs. It is potent, organic and refreshing. Not only that but it is rather cheap.

scars
I'm so glad that i used this instead of the "burning face mask". i found that almost impossible to make and it didn't even burn! i had taken a paper towel and ripped it to fit the curves of my face, then i poured lemon juice into a container and soaked my paper towels in the lemon juice. after, i drained the extra juice out of my paper towels by lightly squeezing them, and then placing them on my face. i keep them on my voce for about half an hour (or however long i feel like keeping them there). i can feel the places where i have scars and acne slightly burning! i then rinse off my face and rub ice cubes on for about 3-5 minutes. then i rinse my face with cool water and dab-dry. feels amazing and works great!
