Pros:

- Worked on my lifelong Acne!
- Clears up scars
- Prevents major stress breakouts
- Can supplement *any* soap (I use an oatmeal soap with it)
- You can miss a couple treatments and you won't kill yourself over it

Cons:

- it's a little itchy stingy and sticky when you put it on but it goes away. (just let it dry and then use your favorite lotion)

I have tried everything throughout my life, my previous most successful combination was pro-active with high hormone birth control. This did not clear my face, it only managed the acne, and if I missed a day forget about it. I still had nasty stress breakouts and breakouts before my period. I also had deep scars from acne from 10 years of continual breakouts. About 8 months ago Some crazy old man at the gym made me promise to try out his family secret. He said to wash your face with any soap, let your face dry than rub a lemon on the broken out areas. I as skeptical and told him as much, saying I had fought it all of my life, but I reluctantly agreed. It started working and after going through my first lemon with pulp on my face I thought I'd just try bottled lemon juice. It worked just as well. I moved to instead of hitting target areas just apply it to my whole face after every washing. It continued to work. when I ran out of my pro-active cleanser I got a little nervous but switched to a low cost oatmeal bar soap instead. The improvement continued. When I ran out of my high-hormone birth control I decided to try a lower hormone, my sanity improved and at this point my acne was gone minus a few little tiny tiny white heads... it didn't return. It has been about 8 months with nothing but a light soap, low hormone birth control and applying lemon juice twice a day followed by lotion and my lifelong acne is cleared, not only that but my horrible pock marks are gone. I only have some little red spots where the scars used to be. I honestly cry sometimes when I look in the mirror to think my cure could be so easy after hating looking at myself for so many years. TRY IT!

Pros:

- Shrinks pores
- Decreases amount of oil on the skin
- Lightens complexion
- Removes nearly all types of acne
- Lightens scarring
- Glowing skin!!

Cons:

- Itches and/or burns for the first few weeks

I have had pretty bad acne for a few years now, lowering my self esteem. I didn't want to look in the mirror, looking at my acne would put me in a bad mood. Yes, I tried all the commercial acne cleansers like Clearasil and all those. They don't work, they companies just want money, they don't care about your acne. My friend told me about the lemon treatment, which of course was natural. I put some lemon juice on a cotton ball and applied it on my face after I showered. It itched a lot, but it's nothing to cry over. When I awoke the next morning, My face was so much softer and less oily then it had been in years. I couldn't believe it. I looked in the mirror and my acne hadn't changed much, but the dark red acne scars were already fading. I repeated the process for about 2 weeks, and I began to see major differences in the actual acne. My whole face was smooth, with the exception of a few little whiteheads. Now after months of use, I hardly have acne, I still do breakout sometimes, but it's so much better than before. I have written a lot because I'm just excited and happy with life right now. I don't have acne any more, and when I do breakout. it seems the lemon juice kills the pimples and heals the scarring in less than 3 days and then I'm clear for a while. Seriously try it.

HELPFULL!! 😍
I've been actually using the lemon juice remedy twice a day for 2 days already. And im definitely seeing a difference. My skin is alot lighter zits are not red anymore. And some dark spots went away. Im amazed . I've spent so much money on treatments that didnt work.. I tried almost everything. And finally found the solution. This is what i do i squeeze both halfs of a lemon onto a small bowl and add sugar, stir until it makes a paste. Then With a cotton ball apply it all over your face or just the affected area , i use my middle and ring finger and spread it all over my face and i massage my face making a zero for about 5 mins. After that wait another 5 mins and rinse off with warm water. Pat try and moisterize. I use vaseline. The reason i add sugar to the lemon juice is because the sugar removes dead skin leaving the skin soft and it minimizes pimples

Pros:

Fades scars
Lightens skin
Decreases breakouts
Makes skin smoother
Makes skin less oily

Cons:

Makes pimples bleed
Initial burning

I started using lemon juice as a daily toner because i had more pigmentation then pimples, initially the lemon juice made my face red when first applied and the initial burn was really painful. But after using it for a week my face adjusted to the lemon juice. I use it daily like a regime and it has made a diff to my skins texture and my skin has gotten paler almost like its been bleached. But the pigmentation did not fade lik i thought it would

Pros:

-NATURAL!!
-cheap
-smells beautiful
-easy to use and available around the corner
-it's the only thing that worked consistently for me

Cons:

-it does sting like hell (the first month or so)... and it makes you want to rub your face with sand paper LOL but trust me, it's just like 10 seconds and then it's TOTALLY fine.
-you cannot expose to the sun for extended periods of time.
-It completelly fades away your tan because it burns the tanned layers of skin

For me this product has been a life saver. Got combination skin, REALLY oily T zone but really dry the rest, which sucks cuz i used to have to apply different products in different areas. My ritual was so annoying and time consuming, I was fed up. I gave lemon a try. It was the best thing that happened to me. It's the only product that has worked for me. Im a flight attendant and now I feel totally confident about my skin. Of course is not perfect, but god, is so so much better. It has cleared up all my active acne, and the little pink scars. MY complexity is quite fair now. It dries out everything. The first couple of weeks only works to fade the scars slowly and seems to not be doing much to the active pimples... but just give it one or two weeks and you will see that suddenly no new pimples will be forming at all (maybe a very rare one once a week) I just poor lemon in my hand and rub it all over. Even though I have sensitive skin my skin seems to have hardened and it doesn't sting any more, it's very curious. GIVE LEMON A TRY, for me it was the best, and so freaking cheap!!!!

Pros:

IT"S AWESOME!
reduces swelling/redness
helps to reduce appearance of old acne scars
makes skin smooth
prevents new acne from appearing
cheap, convenient

Cons:

stings skin a little when you apply it the first couple of times

I LOVE THIS STUFF! Who knew something so simple could help my problems with acne so much! I just started using lemon juice topically a day ago and the results were almost instantaneous. I just squeezed a lemon and put it in a small container in the fridge for later. I used it yesterday in the afternoon and again at night, by just applying it with a cotton ball. When I first applied it it stung and itched a little bit, but calmed down after about ten minutes. When I woke up this morning, my skin was noticeably better! I had no new blemishes and my scars were fading. My skin has also been less oily since I started using it, which is definitely a plus!

Pros:

works! takes the red out brightens complection.

Cons:

No cons for me just don't have open wound and you will be fine.

I put this on by itself and add it to many natural home remedy facial masks and scrubs. It's done wonders for my complection. Cheap, affective and should be in everyones skincare army! Also try honey, aspirin mask, sugar scrubs, banana milk mask, yogurt/honey mask look this stuff up like I did these things worked for me they have healed my acne! I think people should know this stuff! Good luck!

Pros:

Reduces scars drastically! Excellent home remedy!

Cons:

Stings abit and itches afterwards. Skin may dry out abit but not to worry.

I have researched this home remedy for a while and was determined to try it, bottom line it works very well. My scars are lighter within the first day. It will take 2-3 days to see drastic improvement. BE AWARE: do not use on unhealed acne as the acid will sting and hurt soo bad, this is only used on healed acne for clearing up SCARS.

Pros:

-Improved red spots and healing acne, noticeably.
-Made skin soft
-smells good
-Its natural, no worrying about unknown chemicals being put onto your skin

Cons:

May sting if you're not used to it

I've been using the regimen forever, but there has always been something missing. My skin is never 100% clear for very long. So, I keep my eyes open for little things that may help to keep me clear. I had been reading about home remedies for acne, and kept coming across lemon juice. Most of the time these home remedies are bogus things that people say work, but it seemed simple and harmless enough, so I decided to try it before I went to bed last night. I used a real lemon, and not juice from a bottle. I cut off a small portion, squeezed it into a small bowl, washed my face with Dan's cleanser, and then used a cotton ball to apply the lemon juice all over my face. It stung a bit, but no more than the AHA I use. I left it on for 5-10 minutes, just for good measure and then rinsed my face (I was wary of rinsing after washing, but it doesn't seem to have done any harm or caused any more dryness). I then followed my regular regimen: apply BP, apply AHA to affected areas, and then moisturize. I also apply neosporin or plain petroleum jelly to spots that are scabs and need help healing, so no scars form. Well, I woke up this morning wondering if this thing would work, and it did. It is no miracle, but there was considerable improvement to scabs, red spots, beginning pimples, and overall complexion. I was impressed, I must say. I will continue to use it sparingly, because I imagine it is something my body would get used to if used too often. Maybe every night, or every morning, depending on how well it continues to work. I would say, give it a try. Lemons are really inexpensive, and you don't need very much. If your acne is really severe, it might not work as well, but I would give it a try anyway. If it doesn't work, you wasted less than a dollar.

Pros:

-Clears older acne scars
-Cheap
-Noticeable improvement within a few days

Cons:

-Stings a lot, but you get used to it
-Works a bit slower on new acne

I use the lemon treatment on my bacne scars. I'm a bit embarrassed to wear tops that expose my back b/c I have short hair. But the lemon has been really helpful in fading old bacne scars, and its working on new pimples. B/c the skin on the back isn't as delicate as the skin on the face, I also apply BP to my back and then a few hours later I'll apply lemon juice with a cotton ball.
