Pros:

- Evens out skin tone.
- Fades red marks.
- Dries up acne.

Cons:

Burns, burns, burns.
But after a few days it gets better :)

I am so frustrated with myself that I have been struggling with horrible skin for years, and the answer has been in my fridge all along. After cleansing, I put fresh lemon juice on a cotton pad, and wipe it all over my face quite generously. I leave it on for about 30 mins, then rinse off. It makes my skin quite red and tight for a while, so I do this in the evening and then put aloe vera on and leave overnight. In the morning... voila! In only a week you can definitely see results.

Pros:

shrinks the size of pimples, but doesnt completely heal them. it isnt drying at all if you have oily skin, and it works to lighten scars

Cons:

It burns a tad in the beginning, but its nothing bad.

I reduced the size and redness of pimples, but it didnt prevent them or heal them all the way. My scars went away in about a week and a half.

Pros:

Starts Working Right Away
Unlike Acne Medications It Doesn't Make You Break Out Before It Clears It Up
Clears Acne
Fades Scars
Fades Freckles And Discoloration
Soft Skin
Gives Your Skin A Glow
Prevents New Breakouts

Cons:

Stinging/ Itching Sensation Once Applied (Only Lasts About A Minute Though)
Lightens Your Skin

So this is my story. Clear skin all my life-turned 16- broke out daily-ran to my doctor like anyone would- doctor prescribed some BS acne medication (cetaphil/tactuo)- I used it-broke out even more- red/flaky/stinging/ skin- give up- have worse acne then ever before- realized acne products are not worth my time or money. So when I thought all was hopeless, I stumbled across google which led me to my acne cure. LEMONS or LEMON JUICE. Remember, if you stick to natural products its better for your skin in the long run even though it takes longer to see results. The less you touch and irritate your face with things, the better it is. Daily Regimen- Morning- Wash face with water Moisturize with Aveeno Night- Wash Face with Aveeno moisturizing soap Apply lemon juice to whole face (daily) leave it over night *simple and cheap* WORKS LIKE A CHARM

Pros:

clears scars
clears acne
tightens skin
makes skin smooth

Cons:

burns a bit

I had to find somewhere to write a review on on this because it was really weird... so in the past few months my acne has been reeeally really bad and my face is covered in dark red discolored scars. I started putting lemon juice on my face 2 days ago and already my skin is COMPLETELY flat, not a single bump (2 days ago!!!) I'm hoping this lasts but I guess I'll see, as far as scars go my face is looking not so red, but like I said its only been 2 days, so I'm sure in a couple weeks I'll see more of a difference. So what I've been doing is using my normal face wash and moisturizers. I use skintactix (because its not as harsh as a lot of main stream acne treatments like procativ, my skin is too sensitive for benzoyl peroxide). After I wash my face, I take a lemon slice and rub it all over my face and leave it for 10 minutes then rinse it off, then I put the rest of my face stuff on like I normally do (and I do this in the morning and at night). On top of that I started drinking hot water with half a lemon squished up in it, twice a day. Hope this helps!

Pros:

Very Effective!

Cons:

Minor sting, due to it's purity of alpha hydroxy acid, and vitamin C content.

Hello to all who are thinking of using lemons:) You have come to the right place to check in. I never had acne ever until I reached my late 30's. I'm a professional skin care and makeup artist of over 20 years. And is recommended if: You have moderately oily to oily skin An olive skin complexion, medium to dark Or you can handle minor to effective stinging Cystic acne is a problem. I have used this from the age of 25, to now currently more so now due to cystic acne- hormonal. Earlier days was for tightening and refreshed look of minor problems Now I use everyday 2x a day morn and night. I have olive skin who can take the lil tingle it results due to the purity of the alpha hydroxy The vitamin C is perfect for aging skin! This is the finest and Best in skin care on the natural side of things, and Works! Extremely Effective! Taking your cleanser first washing your face with a washcloth then removing, allow skin to breathe for a few sec to 3 min, before applying the half lemon directly to the skin. Take your half lemon seeds and all and rub all over the face, being careful not to squeeze into your eyes. Leave on the skin for even up to 5-10 minutes.. Then apply your warm cloth to the face by placing and holding rinse again then place and hold- do not rub. Again, using warm water. Using warm water increases the alpha hydroxy acid a bit more to increase circulation Watch now how your skin looks! Severe acne results almost overnight! You may have to lance acne before using lemon to promote proper results.. Note: due to the major sebum(oil) that has produced inside, needs to be removed .. Your face will thank you!!! Trust me! I have used and is wonderful.. As I have told my students.. Back in the day of no walmarts, superstores, or shoppers drugmarts, or dept. Stores... Africans are the people who used natural uses... All fruit on their skin! Amazing results! Try it and love your skin.. A

Pros:

extremely soft skin, no need for manual exfoliating, skin receives a much coveted glow, greatly reduces acne spots, fine lines erased, slowly fading post-acne redness.

Cons:

stings when applied, but only if acne lesions present. Takes some time & patience to fade post-acne hyperpigmentation/redness.

I have only used lemon juice topically for a few weeks, but I have experienced great results in that short time. I have many post-acne spots on my jawline & cheeks, which was previously fairly difficult to cover with my very light foundation. However, now i have noticed that there has been an improvement with this & it is a LOT easier to cover these spots now. The previously dry, flaky areas of my skin from overusing manuka oil have disappeared & i am now left with flawless, baby smooth skin. I apply some lemon juice once nightly, after cleansing with a basic cream cleanser, then after the lemon dries (approx. 15 mins) i simply use my moisturiser. I will continue to diligently use lemon juice forever, as long as it continues to work this well. I highly recommend it to anyone! Just be cautious if you have sensitive or overly dry skin, you may have to dilute it first.

Pros:

reduces redness, fades scarring, dries out acne

Cons:

burns a little bit, may cause some itching, but only for a moment. sticky

its cheap and works way better than all the products ive bought in the past. lemons are cheap. i have terrible acne, bacne, i get the boil type acne too. what i do is take a needle and poke a hole in the new pimple and then apply some lemon juice. it stings but it dries out quicker. for my old scars, it takes the redness out and for my skin, expedites the healing process. no more paying over a dollar for any acne product anymore, lol

Pros:

-started to work from the first application
-smell is nice compared to other natural remidies
-cleans pores
-clean and fresh feeling every use

Cons:

when i apply lemon juice sometime is itches but goes away after a minute or two :)

This is a GREAT natural remedy for acne, I used to apply BP to my face everynight and my face was dry and sore, and i realised this isn't healthy for my skin all those chemicals. what about the long term effects? if it bleaches towels and clothes imagine what it is doing to your face!!! so anyway on to lemon juice.. i recently had a horrible breakout and i mean horrible i did'nt get out of the house! and just yesterday i tried lemon juice again ( i have used lemon juice before but stopped and now back on) and I woke up and my skin had improved sooo much! i had this MASSIVE whitehead on my face and i woke up and the head was gone! along with a few more little ones! and it dried up my existing acne!! Because lemons contain natural AHA .. they remove dead skin cells making your face look amazing. It may take some poeple longer to see results MAYBE but for most its quick! i really recommend LJ please try it if you are suffering from acne! but make sure you use freshly squezzed lemons not lemon juice in a bottle that you can buy from stores! Also another great INTERNAL acne treatment is apple cider vinegar its a bit icky but totally worth it! add some to a small glass and skull. do this 2-3 times a day and promise you will see inprovements. hope i helped maddie :)

Yea, it hurts! But it is worth it! (Got better in enduring pain) Apply it for those who got sensitive skin and cannot use benzoyl peroxide.
