Pros:

-Fades acne scars fast
-Evens out skin tone

Cons:

Can sting a bit if put on an open cut/sore

I cut a lemon and just rub it on my face twice a day. All of my acne scars have really lightened up on my face, I don't even need to use makeup anymore. You can't even tell that I used to have bad acne. It works so fast. I've only been using it for a couple weeks and all my scars are almost gone. My skin tone is really even now. I don't know how effective it is on acne, but on acne scars it's great!!!!!

I don't care for writing reviews, nor do I care for forum mentality, and yet this demanded a review, so please heed my advice. I have had acne since I was 15, which is a whopping 9 years. That's tough, since I wear a uniform and enforce laws and rules, so having acne is a real weak spot for people who are upset with me. Out of desperation, after trying everything, I tried this one day when I was going through a very thick facial invasion from swollen zits and infected hair follicles. Upon the first application, I saw my skin lighten, It stung, but I've had worse. Within 72 hours, all the little bastards were disappearing- completely. It has been three weeks and pimples have attempted to form. With the twice a day application, they turn into nothing more than tiny little papsules that you can just peel poke and they're done and gone in 12 hours. It's strange, because I finally look like I'm supposed to as a 24 year old. For those who have tried this and failed, make sure you are experimenting. You HAVE to find the right level of water/lemon juice. If it isn't stinging, it;s not working but if it's making your skin red all the time, too much lemon. Find the right level and it'll work. Pimples simply can't figure out how to counter the low ph level. When they do, they're annihlated like a taliban fighter going against a Platoon of Marines. Try it, and kill them so you can feel happy and confident.

Great Results
I have been using lemon juice for the past two days and I have gotten better results than any of the other products I have used. My face has been getting less and less acne and my acne scars have faded. This is what I do: -squeeze a lemon into a bowl -mix it with a little sugar -place a warm towel on your face to open you pores -using a cotton ball apply juice to all affected areas of face -wait 15 to 20 minutes -wash off with cold water to close pores -put on some kind of moisturizer (since lemon will dry skin causing a breakout) Use this method once every two days and don't keep doing it since it will irritate your skin causing more acne. On the days you don't do this apply other remedies like: honey, aloe vera gel, or (i prefer) Benzoyl peroxide -- but remember to always open up pores when applying these

Pros:

It works :)
Very cheap
Fades away old acne scars
Prevents new acne
Leaves face looking fresh and colorful

Cons:

The first few times it strings, but if you keep using it then it'll sting less and eventually it's not much of anything.

It can be a little sticky, but not bad.

It'll sting like hell if you have any open cuts, like any pop'd acne or a cut from shaving, it will burn badly if you put it on. It's not going to make it infected or anything, it'll just make you want to bunch everything in sight for about 5 minutes.

Buy pure lemon juice, it's cheap maybe $3 a bottle and it'll last you months. Soak a cotton ball with it, and squeeze most of the juice out of the cotton ball. Put it on your face, don't scrub, just enough to where it's on. Leave it on your face and feel the burn! The burning is actually the acid killing the acne bacteria. Do this once a day before bed. This is the only thing I do now for my acne and it's gone, I'm just sure to do this once a day and I've been clear for months.

Pros:

*inexpensive
*diminishes old acne scars
*works like an astringent

Cons:

*itches like crazy when applied (but only for a few minutes)

It has worked wonders for my face so far. I haven't been this comfortable with my skin in a long time! I use lemons ever other day at night time. To make it easier for those who want to try it, I recommend cutting a small section of the lemon and squeezing the juice into a cup, dip a cotton ball and apply to a clean face. Endure the itching for a few minutes and that's it! Fresh face in the morning!!! I also use BP when I don't do the lemon treatment (every other day). The BP treat the acne and the lemons treat the acne scarring. Will post again soon.

Pros:

Makes Skin Glow.
Reduced Hyper Pigmentation.
Reduced Acne Lesions.
Smells Delicious.
Cheap.
Evens out skin tone.

Cons:

Sting a little bit.

After a particularly bad breakout, I was left with nasty hyper pigmentation marks that seemed to get darker every day. I looked at the reviews on this site and noticed that both Vinegar and Lemon Juice applied topically seemed to help people with dark marks and hyper pigmentation, so I decided to try both out. In the morning I would apply vinegar with a cotton pad, leave it on for 30 minutes and then wash it off and start my normal acne.org regimen. I did the same thing except with lemon juice at night (I drink whatever lemon juice I don't use). All I have to say is WOW. The vinegar has left my skin even and reduced oil throughout the day, and the lemon at night makes my skin GLOW when I wake up in the morning. My hyper pigmentation is 90% gone and I only have 2 pimples left. Definitely recommended. About a year ago I tried to leave the lemon on all day but it didn't work as well. Try it out!

Pros:

-Worked wonderfully for my scars with only one night of treatment
-Cheap
-Easy to use
-Didn't make my face red at all, actually reduced it (I'm very fair skinned, prone to redness, and rather sensitive to chemicals. Darn Irish skin.)
-Smells good!

Cons:

-Itched a little on active acne, didn't notice stinging or pain like others said.

I'm going to keep using this, my acne got a lot worse when the weather turned warm and this seems to really have helped it after one day of use! I squeezed juice out of the lemon into a glass bowl and used cotton to apply it to all my problem areas, then washed it off after 20 minutes. Pulled the redness right out of my skin and acne. I spot applied it to some scars that were really annoying me and left it overnight. Those scars are GONE. One of the really nasty ones looks like it needs another treatment, but it definitely got smaller and less red. I would recommend it to anyone (as long as they don't have some weird lemon allergy) it's worth a try, it's cheap, and natural. What have you got to lose? (I also recommend drinking Fruit20's lemon flavored water, I realized my acne got even worse because I was drinking less of that specific type of water during my Spring Break. Check out "Lemon Juice (as a drink) on here for more info on that)

Pros:

-lightened scars
-made pores smaller/ less blackish
-smells amazing
-smoother skin
-reduced size of acne
-reduced acne itself, to a certain extent
-feeling of cleanness
-less puss filled pimples when I wake up in the morning(sounds gross, but it's true)
-cheap/NATURAL
-easy
-takes only like 2 minutes tops. Drastically shortened my prep time for bed
-legit the only thing that's worked for me
-less oily skin!

Cons:

-acne isn't completely gone (I think mine is hormonal though, so I didn't expect everything to go away. I just wanted soooome control)
-kinda sticky in the beginning, it dries though. You'll get over it
-sometimes it stings if there are cut pimples. I personally, maybe sickeningly lol, embrace the stings. I probably shouldn't but it makes me feel like it's doin something
-OH! After I put it on for like a half hour or sO my pimples are more red

-lightened scars -----> this was an immediate pro! I noticed a difference after ...maybe like 3-4 days. Possibly less. -made pores smaller-----wonderful! ONNE DUUUUR FUUUULLL. Haha. This took about 2 weeks to show a real difference. I suspect they will get smaller and less blackish looking as I continue to use this. -smells amazing----....def a pro bc I hate when facial creams and washes smell acidy or weird medicalish kinda stuff. -smoother skin-----I put this on at night and noticed a very different sight in the morning. My face is lighter(less scars and red pimples) and it looks smooth! And it feeeeels smooth! -reduced size of acne- I'm less likely now to have huge pimples. Still get em, just less and when I do they don't get out of control -reduced acne itself, to a certain extent-I recently have been having horrible breakouts after finally being clear for a year. As soon as I started using the lemon juice it seems to ealightly more controlled. -feeling of cleanness- I feel fresher on my face. It's prob just the lemon smell haha -legit the only thing that's worked for me---I've tried everything. No joke. This seems to be working and it's really a miracle -less oily skin! ---I wake up in the morning and I am no longer greeted with a pool of grease on my face. Thanks lemons ----routine---- 1. wash Face with basic soap. Nothing fancy. Just a bar of basis soap. 2.squeeze a slice of lemon into a disposable bathroom cup and let a cotton ball soak it up 3. Rub soaked cotton ball all over face 4. Throw it all out 5. Go about ny regular life. (I don't know if you noticed buuut, that is short... :) ) ha --i only put this on at night when I am going out the next day. I sometimes put I on at night and then wash it off and put it on again in the morn if I'm staying home. Don't do it all the time. Erryday all day =no. Haha just don't. OH and also lemon Baths and drinking lemon water are also good things to do w this
