Pros:

Cheap and natural
Brightens skin tone
Antibacterial
Fades hyperpigmentation

Cons:

Stings
If used incorrectly, can cause more problems

Great antibacterial wipe for your face. I made the mistake of applying this full strength and leaving it on - which caused over-drying and irritation and thus led to more skin problems. I have oily skin with dry and sensitive cheeks, so I've found that applying this solely to my T-zone is the most effective. When applied to my dry areas, I've gotten little red bumps that resemble rosacea. So I would caution that you want to use this sparingly and maybe not leave it on for a long time, like I did - especially on areas of sensitive skin. I also think part of the reason my skin was distressed while using this was that I was overdoing it with harsh products. I was cleansing with my Clarisonic, using ACV and lemon juice as a toner, and applying MUAC's Gly-Luronic Serum. Cutting back on trying different things on my face and simplifying my regimen has actually been much better for me. Another caution - I once tried to make a mixture of lemon juice and ACV and stored it in a glass bottle so that I didn't have to keep squeezing a lemon every night. I don't recommend doing this, because the lemon goes bad very quickly... and the rotted juice will definitely cause your skin to react badly! Common sense, I know, but just in case anyone was considering storing a mixture for future use...

Pros:

Reduces hyperpigmentation
Gives face a nice glow
Fades scars
Reduces redness
Evens skin tone
FAST ACTING
Natural
Cost-effective

Cons:

Can sting or itch a little

I never write reviews for products. But after trying this I had to share with everyone out there. I've had moderate acne for the past 4 years, it started my senior year of high school and just spiralled out of control ever since. I am now 21 and still suffer. Doctors and dermatologists have prescribed me everything short of accutane (which just isn't an option for me). After my mounting pile of failed products I decided to step away from Western medicine and synthetic cures and try some more holistic, natural remedies. I heard that applying lemon juice topically can significantly improve your skin quality very quickly. In addition to that, drinking lemon water is another way to calm and treat your acne internally. I've started doing both and, I kid you not, within 24 hours I've already noticed a DRAMATIC IMPROVEMENT. Try it. You will not be disappointed.

Pros:

-begins lightening immediately
-hydrates chronically dry skin
-prevents new breakouts

Cons:

none

The acne.org regimen cleared up my acne about five months ago (thank GOD), so I've been tinkering with it to work through my post-acne hyperpigmentation and chronic dryness. The lemon juice (I'm using the Delano juice+oil in the lemon from the store) feels amazing, smells nice, lightened my skin over night, and surprisingly it has moisturized the flakes right off my face! Amazing. Oh, and the stinging is nothing compared to AHA. My regimen: Dermalogica Special Clearing wash lemon juice acne.org BP Bio-Oil (morning and night) Cetaphyl spf 15 (morning) acne.org AHA (every other night) Goodbye acne, goodbye flakes!

Pros:

feels refreshing, best used with a little honey for less drying of skin

Cons:

tingles for a minute or two, not working as fast as i thought

i have been using it for almost two weeks now and i havent really seen much results. i'm not sure how much it will help with my old acne scars since i havent seen any difference yet but with existing pimples, it helping lessening the redness but slow with diminishing it. i will keep using it as long as it is not causing more break outs. it hasn't dry my skin since i mixed it with honey and i can actually keep it on for an hour twice a day and wash it off with warm water.

Pros:

It got rid of my acne very quickly!

Cons:

It did sting alot, but it is sooo worth it for me :) I got over the stinging after about 2 weeks. It doesn't even bother me at all anymore :P

I LOVE IT! I used to get really large nodules in my chin area. Sometimes even 2 or so at a time. They were very noticable and very painful. I have tried so many things, and I am extremely happy to say that this has been the one thing that has worked incredibly well for me, not only me, but my mother and my grandmother as well. It got rid of my nodules and acne very quickly! It makes pores much smaller, and tightens the skin. It smoothes out your skin. It lightens dark marks after a while. I definitely suggest you try it. I have a before and after pic in my gallery too :)

Does lemon juice causes pimples
If I use lemon juice on my face, is there any possibility to see pimples on my face as side effect of using lemon juice? Usually pimples go away by using lemon juice. Does the pimples may again come on the same place after few days?

Well, if you have it for too long it could irritate your skin and possibly cause one so yes. What I would recommend is to have it on for no longer than 30 minutes and the max would be 5 minutes!

Not for me
As much as I wanted it to work this remedy is not just for me. I keep thinking I will have progress at the end of the week or maybe i just have diff skin type than the others, but no. I used it for 3 weeks before giving up. I just wanted to get rid of these damn dark spots. And I keep thinking if it contributed to my breakout recently. It's just too much work and pain. So I decided to stop. I even mixed it with honey because it's too painful and dried my face. I really wanted this too work because of the positive reviews I read in here. But you know. It's a trial & error process and finding what's best for you. And this definitely is not for me.

I seen immediat results
The first thing you want to do is wash your face with warm water. I sliced a lemon thin squeeze the juice in a container. Use a cotton swab and put the juice all over my face. For the first 5-10 it WILL BURN but that means it's working. I kept it on for an hour and the results were amazing this will be something I do on a daily basis

scars
I'm so glad that i used this instead of the "burning face mask". i found that almost impossible to make and it didn't even burn! i had taken a paper towel and ripped it to fit the curves of my face, then i poured lemon juice into a container and soaked my paper towels in the lemon juice. after, i drained the extra juice out of my paper towels by lightly squeezing them, and then placing them on my face. i keep them on my voce for about half an hour (or however long i feel like keeping them there). i can feel the places where i have scars and acne slightly burning! i then rinse off my face and rub ice cubes on for about 3-5 minutes. then i rinse my face with cool water and dab-dry. feels amazing and works great!
