Pros:

cheap, natural, clears acne!

Cons:

the pulp can be messy.

i dont know if it's all in my head, but i feel the effects after only a few hours. i think the lemon juice acts as an astringent/antiseptic for the skin. aside from antibiotics [minocyclin], lemon juice has been the best remedy for my moderate-severe acne. i recommend it to anyone who suffers from this life altering condition.

Pros:

Inexpensive; works great; makes your skin glow; helps scars fade; make my skin color appear more olive and even toned!

Cons:

None, really. It's natural and more effective than any other product I've used. May dry out your skin a bit. I put honey on afterwords. My regimin in the morning is using a natural based cleanser followed by natural based moisturizers with SPF...

My regimin in the morning is using a natural based cleanser followed by natural based moisturizers with SPF...At night, I apply lemon for 15 minutes, followed by honey mask. Honey helps me retain moisture, as my skin does dry a bit. I break out moderately, more so during my period. Lemon helps any existing acne dry out quicker.

if you have sensitive skin, you can add rosewater to dilute it but i prefer to only use lemon juice by itself! :) and yes, keep it on overnight! i recommend doing this at night because you dont want to go out in the sun with lemon juice on your face as your face will become sun sensitive! hope this helps! :)

Lemon juice

Pros:

Definitely works
Less redness
Reduces pimple size

Cons:

Dry skin if used too often

Firstly just a bit of background history on my acne. I am 21 years old and never had acne until I was about 19. I have no idea why I started getting it, could be stress , but all I know is it has really started to seriously affect my life! My confidence has completely gone and Im nearly always in a bad mood because I feel so ugly! It has affected many aspects of my life. ANYWAY! I've tried all topical creams possible. I guess we can all agree that they help to calm things down but of course don't completely get rid of acne. I read on here that lemon juice helps so I have it a go. I was really pleased! The first time I put it on, I noticed my skin inflamattion and redness had reduced a lot within half an hour. I rub the lemon directly onto my face, it is quite drying but I guess I'd rather dry skin than oily pimples. I also started to add a cup of fresh lemon juice to 1.25 litre water bottle , but I don't think I did it enough times to notice a change.. It's hard to drink but I really believe cleansing from the inside with Lemon juice would be greatly beneficial too. I rub my face with lemon once every two days and I really believe it helps. I've also started to take bio zinc 3x25mg a day) hopefully ill notice a difference with that too. I also started taking birth control pill yaz about 2 and a half months ago, I am still waiting to see results from that.

Pros:

Clears acne and hyperpigmentation caused by acne!

Cons:

Don't think it actually gets rid of pitted scars.

I'm 23 years old and I have light acne (used to be cystic, but that has gone), some hyperpigmentation from past acne and a few ice pick and pitted scars, but nothing too bad. Lemon is great for getting rid of acne and red marks, but I don't think it does anything for scars. I mix up about 3/4 fresh squeezed lemon juice and 1/4 water in a container, and every night after cleansing my face apply this mixture with a cotton ball. Is really good for the skin. Just make sure to wear sunblock. It doesn't really prevent acne but does help treat it.

Pros:

It takes time, but IT WORKS!

Cons:

My main problem is the ITCHING. omg it itches so much, but it feels great after you rinse it off with nice cold/warm (cool) water.
Time.....

Ive been at war with acne for about 4 years now, its been kicking my butt everyone since it attacked me, but now i found a defense. LEMONS! they do work. Ive been using lemons for about 8 days now and all i can say mr dark smudge on my cheek has lightend up and is about to fade away anyday now. My only problem with using lemons is the itching part. oh btw YOU DO BREAK out when you start using it. at least i did. but it wasnt major, just little white heads here and there. in few days they will be gone. Scars on my chin, cheel, jaw. There getting much better. Less RED, but light brown. again ive been only using this for 8 days, i have 23 more days left to eqaul a month (it should only take 1 month to lighten your scars completely) MY WAY: take 1/4 of a lemon (cut it into 4 equal slices) cut that in half, take 1/2 squeeze the juice into a cotton ball. the other 1/2 smeere it over your face. take the juiced up cotton ball and smooth it out over your face. leave on for 10-15 min wash.

Pros:

lightens scarring & red marks
helps reduce acne
leaves skin soft

Cons:

juicing lemons is somewhat annoying
can sting your face

I've tried lots of acne products and medications, but lemon juice is the first thing I've tried that I've truly been impressed with and compelled to review positively. My scarring & red marks have noticeably lightened. My scarring and redness looks about as good as it used to look when I wore makeup. I'm very happy with it.It also softens my skin. I am lucky to be renting a house with 3 mature lemon trees. I juice a basketful about once a week and store the juice in the fridge. I pour some undiluted juice on a cotton pad after cleansing and toning at night. The sting doesn't bother me much anymore and I now use it straight & leave it unrinsed while sleeping at night. If I forget to use the lemon juice at night for a few days, I notice the difference and come crawling back in a hurry. I break out less, look better, my skin feels softer, and the results are immediate. I've also been drinking a lot of lemon juice which I think helps. I will never be without a lemon tree ag

Pros:

2nd day at it, pimples dried up, skin glows and more 'transparent'.

Cons:

Stings bad and cause redness which will subside. Only use at night before bed. The resulting dryness made my skin produce more oil than usual as i usually do not use moisturiser due to oily skin.

Would continue the regime to see if it can control my outbreak and lighten my scars. Would also drink the fruit.. may get even better results :)

Pros:

Evens out skin tone, clears the face and keeps it looking fresh

Cons:

Stings for a minute or so but subsides fast.

I have very ugly scars on my chin from plucking hair....it just left me depressed and frustrated. Looked like I had a perpetual shadow when it was actually scars more than hair on my chin. I tried VitaK, Bio Oil, Mederma, dozens of moisturisers...all to no avail. Finally, I started applying lemon juice 2- 3 weeks ago coz my mom said that the dark tan on her elbows almost disappeared after she started applying lemon on them daily. I phoo phooed it initially coz, heck, lemons ! How good can a fruit be ? But anyways, I decided to give it a try, and lo behold ! Been great for me, the skin around my chin has evened out quite a bit...I use it around the mouth and chin area as well as on my nose and under my eyes. And after my first application, I scrub the area gently with sugar. So its a good exfoliator too...and all natural. This fruit does wonders. Try it...worked for me.
