Pros:

Inexpensive, reduces scars, makes my face glow

Cons:

A little drying for normal skin, but it would probably be great for oily skin

I haven't had severe acne since my teenage years, with the exception of a bad outbreak a few months ago on account of new detergent (damn you, Tide!). This left me with a face full of scars that I was trying to find a natural way to get rid of. I started using lemon juice in the morning and aloe vera juice applied topically at night, and I'm experiencing wonderful results. My skin is glowing and the scars are fading. However, it did take a few weeks before I started to see any fading at all. Be patient and persistent, and you should see results.

This is interesting. My book on Chinese healing from foods actually recommends lemon or lime juice as a cleanser for acne. Lemons are not abundant in China, so other ingredients are used: Mix equal parts of celery and apple juice - apply to face morning and evening. Cut a water chestnut in half, rub the inside cross-section over your face 2 - 3 times a day. Also, eat plenty of raw cucumber, which has a cooling effect on the stomach and lungs, and drink large quantities of hot green tea. Just thought I would share what I read, as it follows exactly what you are all saying, and the Chinese have beautiful skin!

Pros:

Leaves your skin so soft
Lightens Skin
Reduce redness
Fades acne scars

Cons:

Stings if you have an open wound
Drys up skin

I had very light acne but I have these little bumps on my nose but it doesn't show. I been using this for about a week and I had a dramatic change I had almost no acne before using this I Also had pimples now I only get like 1 or 2 a week. Near my nose I had really bad redness and near my chin but it has reduce alot I have a light brownish skin and I notice my skin seems lighter so beware. Also I had oily skin now only my nose is a bit oily. Another thing your can try is to add a pinch of sugar and it will take away all the dead skin.

Pros:

it is cheap and stops new zits from forming and you can find it anywhere

Cons:

stings alot and can leave red marks on the skin. also applying it is a chore.

ive been using lemon juice for over a month. i had some good results because it stopped new acne from forming but didnt do much for my present acne. it stings more than you would think. i still recommend it because it might work for you and you wont end up spending much money for it so you wont have much to lose even though i dont use it anymore

Pros:

It does work, although it can take anywhere from overnight to a couple weeks. Stick with it!
Smells good
cheap

Cons:

Burns initially

I would definitely suggest you at least try this if you have acne. It is a very cheap and much more effective way of treating acne than any medication. Just get a cotton ball or something similar, get lemon juice on it, and dab on your acne and the places that acne frequently develops, let it dry on there for about 3 mins, then proceed about your night as normal. You don't need to sleep in any weird positions to make sure it doesn't come off because your skin will have absorbed it by that time. It's important to note that this is more of a cover up than a long term treatment - you can use it for as long as you like but as soon as you stop the acne might come back.

Pros:

I have been using Lemon juice for about two weeks now. AND WOW!! the change is def. for the better. My skin is glowing...most of my acne is GONE, and my skin isn't dry and flaking

Cons:

It stings a bit escpecially if you scrub your skin before hand.

It works wonders on blemishes and your overall appearance. No matter how old the blemishes are it still works. When I was a child I got chicken pox and I scratched...ALOT, so my face has about 4 marks that stayed and were quite dark...but now the lemon juice is even fading that! I am very happy with this fruit. I have told my boyfriend about it...since he has acne on his back and he didn't believe me...but now he does. Last week I applied it to his back and in two days I could see and feel the difference.

Not so bad
Hi! I'm using lemon only for spot treatment. I'm using it on my pimple, but not all over my face. It has stingy sensation but I kinda like it 😂 because I feel it works. I use with cutted cotton pads and put the juice in. I leave it until it dries. At tomorrow my pimple just dry ❤ Maybe some people said It's too acidic, but I'm not often using this treatment.
