Pros:

Instant results.
Prevents acne because bacteria cannot reproduce in acid environment.
Dries out zits, whitenes blackheads and shrinks them.
Whitenes red spots and old red spots.
Smells neutral.
Cheap and easy to get.

Cons:

If you use it more than once a day (i use it in the evening instead of lotion), it dries up the skin and is very abrasive and agressive. Don't overdo it!

Great results if used reasonably (once a day tops!).

Pros:

- cleared up pimples
-made my skin pretty
-cheep

Cons:

well for me there were none.
I guess if your a big baby you may complain about the slight stinging that may occur

I cleaned my face at night with a scrub, then applied the lemon juice with a cotton ball. After three day the hard under the skin pimple I had cleared up. After about a month of doing this every night, and along with my vitamin B, my face has cleared right up.

Pros:

-Leaves skin feeling tight
-Reduces redness visibly and quickly

Cons:

-Stings on application (worth it)
-Doesn't prevent new acne

I've had moderate acne for 4 years, and am currently entering my senior year of college. I am DESPERATE for clear skin, and finally decided to try home remedies as a last ditch attempt. (I have tried several perscription cleansers, lotions, spot treatments, birth control, and even a 500mg antibiotic called Ampicillin. None of it worked!) I have been applying lemon juice twice daily for a week. I began seeing results after day 1, but wanted to wait to post a little longer to make *sure* I was seeing results. So far: I'm seeing great results! My skin feels tighter, and for the first time in years I feel like I can see my real skin glowing under the red discolorations. I don't think this is a lasting solution (the lemon juice will likely dry out my skin in cold weather) but I believe that if I keep applying 2x daily for another couple weeks the redness I currently have will abate. I have had some new spots appear since I started applying, so this isn't helping prevent new acne for me... However, it's working wonders with the redness, so any readers with discolorations and red marks: try this!! It's cheap, it leaves your skin feeling great, and it works. Highly recommended.

Pros:

Makes skin smoother.
Makes skin glow, good colour.
Relieves severity of acne scarring right down, red colour fades. Both the general colour of an almost 'rash' like scar that I have and the individual dots.
Smells gooood.

Cons:

None.

I've basically just been on a course of the drug Roaccutane, a strong dose over 6 months. So I can only really comment on scars because I don't have acne anymore. I've know just got some scarring around my mouth and chin and all of my acne is totally gone and i haven't had an outbreak in over 3 months. The lemon juice has totally got rid of all redness and rather than a mask of horrible redness/brownness from old scars it's a faded dull colour and it's worked amazing after just like, 5 days. Would so recommend it. I'm gonna keep this going until its hopefully almost totally gone.

It's working!!
I have had acne for the past 2 years, I was told that it was hormonal, and it would go away with time and it did, but after my face started clearing up, about 2 months ago, I saw brownish, redish spots all over my face. I didn't like it cause it made it look like I had acne even though I diddnt. So I did some research and found that lemon juice can help with scarring. I started using this about 3 days ago, an I can see a slight difference in my skin. I was sort of disappointed after using it the first few times cause it really stings when I put it on and it wasn't really showing and improvement. But I keptt at it and am noticing a difference now. Will continue using this...

Pros:

Redness fades
Pimples smaller
Feels like its working
Smells nice
Easy and cheap
Fast working

Cons:

A tad itchy, but easy to deal with
Slicing can result in finger injuries

I just tried it for the first time and redness on my arms had decreased. I haven't looked at my face yet but it feels cleaner. Definitely an easy option, especially for those that have to get rid of acne fast or have arm/back acne issues. As a teenager here, my mom isn't crazy about buying me face products, and I don't like using what I have on my arms or back. But she didn't mind buying me a few lemons. I'm trying to be able to look good in something sleeveless for a dance, but I'm scared of my arms and back. And yes, I managed to cut my finger on the knife while slicing.

Pros:

- lightened dark spots from pimple scars
- healed poped pimples
- shrinks pimples
- lightens skin
- softens skin

Cons:

- stings at first

I've only been using this for a few weeks, every night (sometimes in the morning as well and sometimes twice a night) and i've seen some really noticeable results. I use fresh lemon juice from a lemon on a cotton pad. My dark spots have faded a bit and my skin is significantly softer (even my boyfriend has noticed). I have been using the lemon juice followed by bio oil to help lighten my pimple scars. I'm definitely going to continue using it as it's a very cheap alternative to other acne remedies. I would definitely recommend this if you don't have sensitive skin as the acidity of the lemon juice can sting a bit at first.

Pros:

*Great results within a week or so, depending on your acne.
* Removes acne marks with discoloration of skin.
*Stops new spots from forming.

Cons:

*Stings a little but you get use to it after a few goes.
*Makes the skin a little rough but that can be cured with olive oil.

This is the best thing i have ever done for my face, serially people if you have acne, put a small amount of fresh lemon juice on your face before going to sleep, its the best thing you will ever do. If you develop rough skin then use olive oil in conjunction with lemon juice.

Pros:

- Smooths texture
- Exfoliates w/o abrasives
- Vitamin C
- Softer skin
- Brighter skin
- Tightens pores
- Shrinks pimples over time
- CHEAP

Cons:

There's no cons for me.

A fresh chunk of lemon is the miracle cure for my occasional chest and back acne. Clears it up in a matter of a DAY OR TWO. It works wonders on my face. It will sting for the first few applications, but once your face has worked up an immunity to the sting, it's fine.
