Pros:

My skin has been nothing but clear since the first week i've been using lemon juice. 1 lemon lasts me almost a whole week. I cut off a slice, squeeze it onto a cotton pad and use as an astringent. It is single handedly the best acne treatment of my life. I'm 33 and would get cystic acne that was heartbreaking. I HIGHLY recommend this remedy. A+++

Cons:

Doesn't even dry me out, no cons for me!

It works, it's cheap, it WORKS!

Pros:

easy application
leaves skin feeling tight/glowing/clean
clears scarring
heals raw/red/painful blemishes
shrinks pores
no new break outs!
cheap!
NATURAL!

Cons:

slight itching
minor stinging on raw blemishes

having acne is really the pits, i've had clear skin all my life up until my early twenties when i developed cystic acne. i've tried many otc, all natural and rx products in the past. after much frustration and many tears i finally called the derm and i was put on ziana gel (drying!!), clindamycin solution and nicazel tablets. i have very sensitive skin and my blemishes were primarily on my t-zone. to my dismay these prescriptions were very harsh. in desperation i began reading reviews on other remedies, i'd be kicking myself if i didn't give the lemon juice a try. i've been using it for a week, morning and before bed, sometimes midday. it is SO gentle and has amazing exfoliating properties! it also acts as an antiseptic to help kill bacteria and heal. after washing my face with cetaphil cleanser i squeeze some concentrated lemon juice on a cotton ball, primarily focusing on blemishes. i find that the concentrated juice is easier to use, zero mess. i let it sit for a few minutes and apply cetaphil moisturizer and make up over it. i am also still taking the nicazel in conjunction with it. it isn't an instant fix, but in the week i have been using it, i have seen DRAMATIC results. my skin has a soft glow and my blemishes are less red and have shrunk to almost nothing. although i still have some scarring, my face has almost made a total 180. this has really given me the confidence boost i needed. a must try, you will not be disappointed...and don't give up! it gets better :)

Pros:

-Evened out skin tone
-Cleared up acne
-Virtually removed acne scars
-All Natural
-Cheap

Cons:

-Initial application leaves skin feeling tight
-Stings on soar areas, for a moment
-Dries skin, may need to moisturize more

I am very pale, so my acne scars, blotchy cheeks and acne redness stood out like a beacon. I had to put on so much foundation, I felt like I was wearing a mask. I tried proactive, neutrogena, clearasil, etc. They reduced my acne, but that actually did little to improve my appearance. Desperate, I tried the lemon juice in my fridge. Within two weeks, my acne scars were significantly reduced. The ever-present redness and small bumps had gone, and my pimples became infrequent. My pores, once huge creators, are now barely noticeable! The lemon juice did dry out my skin a bit too much, so I've had to use more moisturizer than I used to. It's more than worth it! I stopped using cover-up and foundation, all together!

Pros:

- face is brighter and glowing
- bumps and zits have subsided
- very visible improvement (except for during that time of the month)
- dries out zits in a flash

Cons:

- stings like HELL
- may be too drying for dry/sensitive skins (skin feels tight)
- if applied on sensitive skin it turns red, bumpy and angry.

I've had troubled/sensitive skin for the past 3-4 months, when it used to be pretty good and glowing. I'm not sure why my skin turned bad all of a sudden, but one month ago I read about lemon juice being applied topically on troubled skin, so why not....since it's cheap. Everynight after cleansing I cut out a fresh lemon and apply the juice directly on to my face (and then it hurts like HELL for 2 minutes, but hey, the price of beauty!) and I juice the rest of the lemon and drink it with water(it is a detoxifier). I leave it on for about one hour and wash off, then I put on my toner and moisturizer. After 1 week of this treatment there was visible improvement, and now I'm on my 3rd week and my skin is ALMOST back to its previous good condition! I'm wayyyy pleased with the results and my family and boyfriend have noticed and commented on my improved skin condition. I still get very small zits that erupt on my chin area, but they dry up in a jiffy, could be because my skin is still purging toxins and excess sebum out. For an extra boost, exfoliate, cleanse, apply lemon juice, clay/mud mask over it, then wash off and complete your toner+moisturizer routine.

Pros:

-it actually works
-smells delicious (compared to things like Apple Cider Vinegar, tea tree oil, and benzoyl peroxide)
-super cheap
-completely natural

Cons:

-i suppose it stings a little bit for all of 2 seconds

This stuff is a miracle. I've had super persistent mild acne for ten years now!! I've used Baking Soda masks -- but these dry out my skin too much, Apple Cider Vinegar -- it made me break out horribly!, tea tree oil -- gave me the worst break out of my life; it was so bad I didn't want to leave the house, benzoyl peroxide -- I used it a la "the regimen" for about 6 months. My skin did not change at all, except to become more sensitive. Finally, this summer, I decided to try this: I wash my face gently with either Cetaphil antibacterial soap or St. Ive's scrub and follow up with some fresh lemon squeezed onto a WET cotton ball (I'm too lazy to actually dilute the lemon juice). I've been doing this for a week and my skin has improved DRAMATICALLY. It's astounding. I'm absolutely thrilled. Just remember to be gentle -- you MUST dilute the lemon juice. Try mixing 1 tbsp of fresh squeezed lemon with anywhere from 4-8 tbsp of water, depending on your skin sensitivity. But believe me, for persistent whiteheads, lemon juice is a miracle!

Pros:

works pretty well - great for bacne!
easy

Cons:

stings when first applied
dries out skin
sticky

I first used lemon juice on my face years ago. Just apply to trouble areas (blackheads, usually), leave on for 10 minutes or whatever and wash off. It stings quite a bit, but its sort of nice! but I found lemon juice was a bit harsh for my face - it stings and dries out skin and while it works okay, but I've got products that work much better. however, I found it works really, really well for body acne. I have very mild body acne - occasionally a couple blemishes on my back, that kind of thing. so I just apply it to my back in the evening; it would dry and I would sleep with it on. in the morning, I would shower off. its a bit awkward to apply, unfortunately. it still stings, but I don't have to worry about drying out my back. serious, it works great for bacne. I used this super often last year - I had lots of events that involved wearing dresses with low backs, and this saved my life. the results don't always become clear right away, though - I would start this at least a week before an event (often longer, just to be sure - and sometimes I would use it every second night or so, not every single night). I used bottled lemon juice (like Realemon) -- super convenient!

Pros:

Cheap
Easy
Natural
Effective
Prevents Acne
Fades Scars
Smells Great!

Cons:

Burns a little sometimes, but it goes away

Why didn't I try lemon juice earlier?? I'm a 23 year old female who has suffered from acne since I was 12. I've tried BP, SA, tea tree, antibiotics, finacea, differin, birth control, Nucelle, Mychelle Dermaceuticals, and the list goes on. My body is very sensitive. One day at the supermarket I saw the lemons and decided, "It's only a dollar. Why not try it?" After i wash my face with Kiss My Face olive oil bar soap, I slice the lemon, squeeze juice out, and soak it up into a cotton ball. Then I apply it to all my acne prone areas and hyper pigmentation/scars (I do not rinse). I then use Yes to Tomatoes facial moisturizer. In the morning I wash and moisturize. My skin has been clearer than it has in a looooong time. I hope it works long term. I just wish I had tried it sooner!!!

Pros:

I have been using this for four months now. I have very sensitive skin so I have only been applying it once a week for 15 mins then rinsing like 20 times. I rinse for a long time to get rid of residue that causes dry skin. If you guys are looking for a remedy for acne PITS this is it!!! My acne pits are not gone, but they are no longer pits. I am very confident that if I continue to use this and keep up the sun exposure, my pits will be gone by the end of the summer. It cleared up my acne!!

Cons:

DO NOT LEAVE THIS ON IF YOU HAVE SENSITIVE SKIN. I think a lot of people who had bad reactions with this left it on for too long or left it on over night. Lemon juice is an alpha acid that will EAT your skin. Rinse this off very well (like twenty times) and you will not get dry skin or a breakout from irritation.

I have also been drinking lemon juice every morning along with putting it on my face. Look up drinking lemon juice on here and my post is the one with the long bottom point and a really good review. I really want you guys to read it because I am so glad I have found a cure for my acne INSIDE and OUT. I don't want anyone to have to go through this stuff! Oh yeah, I put the price as $3.50, meaning a whole bag of lemons. So incredibly cheap!!!

Pros:

-super cheap
-it totally clear out my face
-all organic,so no worries that everything is just temporary
-i dont have to wear any other cleanser
-left my face with radiant glow
-i have different people calling my skin 'beautiful' and asking me what doctor did i went to (just to point out how ugly my skin was before i started using this)
-if you have a fresh acne, you'll see the difference like 15 minutes after applying it.
-can wear as often as you want, with noticeable res

Cons:

-it takes like 3 month for my face to clear out of acne scars. but it was worth it.
--hurts like hell on a fresh, ripe acne
-needed to be applied consistently for cases like mine

For my face to be clear of acne scars (and acne, for that matter) like i have right now, i had to dump all my cleansers (from high-end to drugstore, and of japanese-korean variant) and focused on wearing the lemon juice (and make-up remover) alone on my face. I have hormonal acne,so accutane wont cure that (besides,i dont need the extra calory they come with). Im starting to have this extreme breakouts (puss-filled that left my face looking swollen and blotchy) when im hitting 20. I thought acne is supposed to stop when you've come to such age,but for me,it's getting worse. I even hit a period when i have this friends withdrawal because i know i look pathetic with countless acne scars (and fresh acne) on my face. Accutane wont work, and other trusted names were only worth using for 1 month, after that my face will revert to its old state (and worse). So i decided to ditch all the chemicals and to use fresh lemon juice as my mask and cleanser to see how it goes. It works, and i've been using it for 6 months straight right now. I still have heavy breakouts every now and then, but it's barely noticeable, because the lemon juice seems to put a stop to it. Just be sure to put it as soon as you noticed there's a lurker, and wear some fresh pulp on the spot and let it dry like a mask. I have gone 5 days without using any lemon on my face, and boy,i regrets it. Like i said,it's hormonal problem - something i cant help but to deal with it,that's why now i never go through a day without the juice. 2 days tops.
