Pros:

helps with inflammation

Cons:

very oily

I don't recommend using this alone. I mix it up with aloe mostly aloe. Whip it up until it turns into a white lotiony substance, and use this as a moisturizer. This helps a lot sometimes I mix a few drops of tea tree oil as well but i dont do this regularly, about once a week. Aloe alone is too drying and jojoba alone is too oily for me but together they are both awesome.

Pros:

Great Makeup Remover
Organic
Non-comedogenic
Lasts a long time
Cheap considering other places

Cons:

Pricy compared to other products for similar uses

I love love love jojoba oil. It is the best makeup remover that I have found. I've tried any and every other drug store makeup remover, and even when others work well, my eyes always burn when using them. Not so with jojoba oil. They remove waterproof eye makeup so well, without burning or stinging them. Plus, the way I use it, it lasts me a long long time. Honestly, I am so in love with all Dan Kern products. Not surprised that I would love this one too. And compared to other places that sell certified organic jojoba oil, this site can't be beat for the quality and amount. :)

Pros:

Controls dryness and skin flakes
Price

Cons:

Shiny face appearance

I use 100% generic brand Jojoba oil and so far so good and it controls my dry skin after applying Benzamycin at night. However, it leaves my skin shiny and oily. I don't mind it at night but during the day time, I often have to lightly pat my face with a towel just to not look like I dipped my face in a bucket of liquid butter.

Pros:

Very moisturizing
Doesn't clog pores
Multi-use (lip balm)
Works well in conjunction w/ moisturizer

Cons:

Doesn't absorb well
Expensive

I enjoy this product. I use it everyday and it helps control flakiness. It is a great addition to my Cetaphil moisturizer. I would recommend this product, but not as an exfoliator because of the unnecessary iritaa

Pros:

doesn't make my face shiny
helps remove flakes

Cons:

Haven't notice any yet

I've used this for 3 weeks and am pleasantly surprised. The idea of putting oil on my oily face seemed like a big gamble, but so far so good. I am also using the acne.org moisturizer but it just wasn't getting rid of the flakes. It's very annoying to have oily skin and flakes' how is that even possible?! I have been easing into it with the jojoba, using it very conservatively so far. About once a week a leave a few drops on overnight in lieu of other moisturizers. A couple times a week I mix 2 drops in with my regular moisturizer. I was very surprised to find that it gives my skin a nice glow but doesn't make it an oil slick by the afternoon. Besides this, I also use it on most mornings to soften up the flakes on my skin...I rub it all over my face, use a washcloth to remove flakes, then shower to remove excess oil. Afterwards I apply regular moisturizer and then makeup. I use mineral makeup and it causes no problems with the jojoba oil as long as it has all soaked in before I apply makeup. The only reason I'm giving it just 4 stars instead of 5 is that so far I have not noticed jojoba magically clearing up all my acne. However, it has not made me break out and I do think it is making my face less oily, so I'm happy with it. I'm using Dessert Essence by the way...got it at a health food store.

Pros:

cheap
effective moisturizer
helps with dry patches
doesnt smell weird!
multipurpose (hair, skin, nails, etc!)

Cons:

slightly greasy feel and looks oily on face until it absorbs
if using "desert essence" brand, the packaging sucks! bottle cap spills and leaks everywhere

I started using jojoba oil around 2 weeks ago, due to the raving reviews on here and [link removed]. BEWARE, oil DOES cause a "purging" period; basically the oil causes all of the crap underneath your skin to come up and out, causing an initial breakout. This part SUCKS, don't get me wrong. My self esteem has plummeted and Iv'e been hiding out in my house as much as possible...but good news is ITS GETTING BETTER! you just have to stick with it and have faith! My skin is finally getting the last of the "junk" out and I think i'm finally in the home stretch to having clear skin :) Lately iv'e gone "au natural" and done a lot of research on more natural ways to deal with my skin. Here is my regimen: AM: -wash face with cetaphil cleanser -tone with apple cider vinegar/green tea mixture -put 1-2 drops of jojoba on fingers and gently massage into skin - wait around 10 minutes for it to absorb, then apply makeup PM: - wash with cetaphil -apply whole face mask - yogurt/honey or avocado/honey according to my skins needs - spot treat by using honey/cinnamon combo for 30min-1 hour, rinse off with cold water - put a few drops jojoba on clean fingers and massage into skin, then sometimes i'll repeat the spot treatment and leave on while I sleep. *Jojoba oil definitely causes that "glow" everyone talks about, and my oil production has gone down AT LEAST 60%...and still going down! *Bottom line is, if you're sick of having bad skin, try it. The initial breakout sucks but this is bound to happen anyway when trying a new facial regimen. I'm not 100% clear yet, but I hope I will be soon and i'll write another review :) good luck!

Pros:

- No colour or smell
- Somewhat cheap
- Good to use as a cleanser

Cons:

- Bad moisturizer, cause of my breakout!

So I bought this after being on the regimen for 3 month in hopes of reducing the dryness that comes along with it. So I did as I heard other, adding a couple drops to my moisturizer.. and I will admit it did stop my dryness, but about 3-4 days later BAM! Terrible breakout :( I was trying to figure out what I was doing wrong and I realized it was the jojoba! I was so mortified because I had been clear for almost 1 & 1/2 full months :( so I left it aside (like I do many of my previous acne products lol) tried it again about a week or two later after I was clear again thinking maybe it was just a fluke, plus I was really in need of moisture my skin was ugly! and of course, breakout :( so I stopped, and my skin cleared over time again. Then one day I was out of cleanser, and was on acne.org like usual trying to look for the best cleanser to buy in department stores since I couldn't order online at the time, and decided to try jojoba as a cleanser (my skin was also particularly dry at the time it was the start of winter). So I rinsed my face, then with the access water left on my hands added about 3-4 drops of jojoba and I used it to kind of rub away all the dead skin and makeup on my face, rinsed and WOW! All my dry skin was gone and my face was nice and moisturized which I hadn't seen in 2+ months! I woke up the next morning and my face was GLOWING! Really a big difference. So basically i've been using jojoba as a cleanser/exfoliator ever since :) for the people who said jojoba broke them out - TRY IT! :) and if you haven't used jojoba before, I won't tell you to not use it as a moisturizer cause everyones skin is different.. but it definatly made me breakout so use with caution :)

Pros:

great for makeup removal
inexpensive

Cons:

clogged my pores

While I do still use this for makeup removal followed by my regular cleanser (cetaphil), I stopped leaving this on my face as a moisturizer because it caused me to break out. I do also use it as an exfoliant if my skin is flaky: rub onto face an rub gently with wash cloth. But, I always wash my face with my regular cleanser afterwards to remove any jojoba oil residue.

Pros:

Natural Feeling
Light
Soft Skin
No smell
Bumps going down?
Redness disappearing?

Cons:

Bottle is getting kinda oily and I'm kinda scared some nasty stuff is gonna grow on top.
Shiny look on face, but hey it could be worse
I've heard of a purging breakout, but I'm skeptical about this. I really hope it doesn't happen to me though

I got a breakout recently and my skins been really oily so I started researching online and came across this stuff. I heard about it before and was skeptical. My Cetaphil Normal to Oily seemed to really dry my face out after washing my face. And I got to thinking maybe my skins thirsty for oils. And so I went to Trader Joes and decided to get this stuff. And I washed my face and put it on and it does seem greasy at first, but most of it absorbs. And my skin isn't greasy with sebum oil, but light oil that doesn't feel disgusting. And after rinsing it off my face feels sooo soft and amazing. I still wash with the cetaphil and afterwards my face is still soft.
