Pros:

*Gives your skin that youthful glow and healthy look.
*Excellent moisturizer especially if you're on accutane
*Over time during 2-3 months considerable reduction in red acne scarring.
*Can use on hair to make your hair glow!

Cons:

*Availability limited in New Zealand especially in its purest form
*A little pricey
*Don't wear this on during the day as it makes you shine - best to put it on at night.

Ok so i started using Jojoba oil about 4 months ago as a means to clearing up my red acne scarring. I had read alot of reviews before deciding to go with this - afterall its an oil and who in their right minds puts oil on their acne prone skin? Not to fear, jojoba oil is the miracle oil kinda like god's gift to his children. Yes I did get the initial breakout by using jojoba but i stuck with it. 4 months later my skin glows, acne red scars have faded and I feel my skin heals faster from the odd pimple! I've received compliments from friends and family - 'wow what are you doing to your skin - it looks so nice and you're glowing like a pregnant woman!!' Try this stuff. Please if you love yourself.

How long did your initial breakout last?

November 30, 2010

Pros:

love the feel of it on the skin
natural
good for the skin- hydration
stop skin from drying

Cons:

breakout???? Hard to pin point cause
slightly shiny on skin - which although doesnt really bover me however hard to apply makeup over this

Well... I started using jojoba oil about a week or two ago due to bp and tea tree oil really drying my skin making it feel so dry and tight I tried buying a moisturisers meant for very dry skin although this helped it didnt solve the problem. My acne however was improving at this stage quite a lot ( maybe be due to the tetracyline kicking in- who knows tbh). However I didnt think these products were exactly helping my skin in the long run so i decided to get jojoba oil after hearing some pretty good reviews and the fact dan recommends it. What I did after applying tea tree and bp to acne i added 2 drops of jojoba oil for every pea size of my moisturiser i used. Know after doing so i found acne on my forehead appeared, round the nose and slight worsening of acne on cheeks mainly whiteheads which i had never really come across before. Know im not sure whether that was my skin getting use to the oil (well wax really) and that it needed time. The thing is that it made my skin FEEL great not tight at all which i really liked however just not to sure on the looking great part. The werid thing is i also broke on my chest with white heads which had never happened however i dont use it on that area with really confuses me So am kinda not sure what to do with the stuff 1) stop using it 2) maybe use less 3) combine with a oil free mosturier (which i was previously using until my skin went dry) 4) add another oil to it (which id rather not do as im using enough products as it is). Its so stressful i really wanted to get clear for xmas so i really dont know what to do :/ keep with it or stop. Id certainly give it ago to be honest .Good luck guys!! BTW email is e-nicol@[link removed] if anyone has any suggestions :)

Pros:

-Cheap (one bottle last me months)
-Super effective
-light moisturizer
-AMAZING

Cons:

-Greasy apply at night
-other than that nothing

I used to have horrible acne. I mean horrible. I stopped using so many products and started just stuck with my face wash and this oil. It was a matter of about 2-3 weeks and my face completly changed. I know this doesnt work for everyone but please give it a try. If you dont see your skin getting better after the first week, stop using it because it probably will either not work or could make your skin worse.

controls oil
so for everyone saying that it broke them out-- its supposed to. Jojoba oil has a purge phase much like other acne treatments, and it comes in the form of ugly whiteheads and red pimples. however, this goes away soon enough. Ive been using dessert essence's jojoba, moringa, and rosehip oil as a moisturizer for about 2 or 3 months. I used to use a heavy cera-ve cream but i realized that this was not good for my EXTREMELY oily skin. now, 3 months later, my oily skin has almost gone away COMPLETELY and now i have basically normal skin. the chemical makeup of jojoba oil is very similar to that of sebum, so it tricks the skin into thinking it has produced enough. over time, you can train your skin to produce less and less oil. i use this after i wash my face twice daily, and i swear by it! i will never use another moisturizer again.

How long was the purging period!

October 1, 2010

Pros:

oil on oil dissolves what clogs your pores
affordable
the *best* moisutrizer, period
easy to use

Cons:

unless you use enough (more than you think you need), you may feel it is clogging your pores

If you used this before and had no success, try it again. I too was disappointed and discouraged by three initial trials. They key is to use a significant amount, 6 drops for me in the morning and at night does the trick. It always feels like too much until it soaks in and leaves you with a matte finish for at least 10 hours. Also, you can use it to unclog your pores. Stop picking at your face and try this. Soak a cotton ball with jojoba, cover your face with as much oil as you can without it dripping (no mess!). Leave it on your face for 20 minutes. Wipe it off with tissue and feel how much softer and smoother your face is. Oil (or in this case a wax ester) dissolves the oil and debris that is clogging your pores. I am finally a convert!

Pros:

Made my skin GLOW like a goddess!!!!!!! Works on acne, makes skin smooth and supple!

Cons:

NONE!

WOW. I have tried everything for my acne: Proactiv, AcneFree, dozens of topical creams/gels from the dermitologist, prescriptions... etc., and NOTHING worked as well as jojoba oil. I first used it on my body after the shower, and I noticed that any acne on my back or chest would dissappear after using it. I read all of the great reviews on here and decided to use it on my face. It does take a little bit to work on acne, though. It's a slow process, but definetley worth it. I'm clearing up. ALSO, I put it on my face before bed and wake up looking like a goddess with the face as smooth and beautiful as you can imagine... not bad for someone who had skin just the opposite before using this miracle oil. TRY IT TRY IT TRY IT!!!!!!! You have to!

Pros:

Super soft, healthy, glowy skin.
If I squeeze something I won't wake up looking sick like I have the plague. I'll have glowy skin and a little wound with minimal redness that looks like it's healing well.

Blackheads and areas with black heads are less 'raised.' Far fewer blackhead on my forehead.

I have dry peely skin, especially if I squeeze pimples/blackhead but not since I've used this.

A little goes a really long way

Results seen in just a couple of hour

Cons:

I still have the same amount of blackheads on my chin and in the creases of my nose. They may even be a little 'blacker' but it could just be that there is no flaky white dead skin hanging around to conceal this.

Makes my hair a bit greasy cos my fringe gets goes all over my face.

Super amazing. No need for a moisturiser now. I don't know how I lived without it. Only use a little and apply downwards, gently with clean hands. Squeeze a pimple? After you wash the area and disinfectant jojoba it!

Clear skin for the first time in 7yrs
All I do is wash my face with a wash cloth (hot water when I shower, cold water any other time) one to two times per day and afterwards moisturize with a few drops of jojoba oil all over my face. I have had acne since I was 12 (I'm 19 now) and it had gotten a bit better with age but was showing no signs of being gone soon. I always said I would write a review if something finally worked for me this is that review! I can finally trust that my skin will be clear

Pros:

Exceptionally good moisturizer
Assists with Oil production
Removes acne!
Easy to use
Cheap

Cons:

None!

I've had moderate acne for about 10 years and have not had much (or any) success with any treatment i've ever used. About 5 months ago I started using the acne.org treatment and it was helping a little, but not that much(20% improvement). About 3 months ago I started adding about 6 drops of Jojoba oil to the treatment (BP) twice a day and it's worked amazingly ! It's completely removed any dryness and REPLACED my moisteriser completely (I never use moisteriser anymore, don't need it). It's also completely stopped the excessive oil production in my face. My Acne is probably 85% better, and i'm rather happy that after all these years it looks like a natural treatment is significantly responsible for the improvement. Try it, seriously. It might not do anything for you, but for me it was the last option before biting the bullet and going to Accutane. Now I won't need to touch Accutane!

Pros:

calms acne down - and I mean old acne spots AND newly forming spots
removes dead skin cells (after cleanser Jahoba removes dirt/skin cells/makeup even further)
smooths skin
treats any dryness
glowing complexion

and at 25 I have the first tiredness type dehydration wrinkles... jahoba smooths these out too!

Cons:

Like everything - its difficult to apply to your back
none, slightly oily at first but at night this isnt an issue and after a day of having this on my skin I have no more oil on myface than I usually have, I actually think I have less so I think it makes your skin produce less oil in the long term.

I have had Jahoba oil in my cupboard for about 2 and a half years and I never used it for my skin, I was going to use it on my hair as a treatment. I thought about trying using it at night to lift any dead skin out of my pores and it seems to be working. I woke up and my skin looked loads better, Like it was globally healing everywhere I had applied the oil. I have been using it for 4 days days and seen an imprevement every time. I never expected this result from Jahoba oil alone and I seriously wonder if I could use this alone?... Give it a go! I know its expensive but its worth a try....
