Pros:

inexpensive, a little goes a long way, no harsh odor, doesn't feel oily or greasy

Cons:

a little difficult to get a controlled drop out of this type of bottle, takes a bit of rubbing/time to get it absorbed well

You don't need much of this oil to make your hands feel better and you need even less to moisturize any dry spots on your face. I use this as a part of my all-natural face care system. I alternate between the oil cleansing method (caster oil + apricot kernal oil) and using raw, organic honey as a cleanser. I also use witch hazel for a toner. While having acne prone, combo skin, I find that I've always had "dry" spots on the sides of my chin; with this natural method I no longer get flaking, but it still feels a little dry. This is where I use the jojoba oil. Just a tiny dot smooths it out. You can also use the jojoba as your carrier oil for OCM or put it in your regular lotion/conditioner. I don't know that this alone will cure acne, but it is a great part of a natural skin care regime.

Pros:

Cheap, safe, natural, does it all

Cons:

If you don't keep up the nightly ritual, the benefits fade fast. Doesn't treat existing acne.

When I first used this I had a 2 week breakout. I stuck it out and after that I was pretty much zit free for a couple months! But then I got tired of the whole ritual associated with massaging it in and tissuing it off so I stopped. Skin went back to normal in about a week. But if you're not lazy, try this and stick out the first couple of weeks. While using this, people were definitely noticing. My boyfriend even said I looked radiant. Wow!

Pros:

- absorbs excess oil from skin
- great for oily hair!!!
- moisturizes wonderfully

Cons:

- sometimes can be too greasy
- can't wear during the day

I started using jojoba last month and stopped within my 2nd week because I felt it wasn't doing much. I kept putting it in my hair because I is so great with my hair. About 1 week ago, i started using it on my face again. in the morning i cannot apply it b/c its too greasy. i apply my aha sunscreen for the daytime after washing with a mild soap (either spectro or aveeno moisturizing bar). i give my face a quick rince at lunch time so that i can reapply my sunscreen. in the evening, i wash my face with spectro jel and apply 4 drops of jojoba oil to my face. in the night, i just rince off the jojoba oil with warm water and a little soap if it is needed. and i apply my BP. so far i feel good about my skin. i hope this will help fade my scars and keep my acne away.

Pros:

Reduces redness and appears to reduce inflammation . Feels soothing after applying; leaves skin feeling soft and well-nourished.

Cons:

Mild initial breakout. Leaves skin very shiny!

I suffer from bad acne. I don't have a lot of acne, I have bad acne (i.e., cysts). They hurt bad and are very tender; they're always red and irritated. Because I'm light-skinned, they are very noticeable. When I get these painful cysts, the bacteria gets deep into the pores and last weeks, sometimes months, before the bacteria can come out. In desperation, I tried 100% pure jojoba oil. I've been using this for a week now. At first, I broke out mildly; I think it's the "initial purge" many talk about. A week into this my cysts have reduced in size, redness, and inflammation. I'm moderately satisfied, but will continue to use this in hopes of seeing better long-term effects. I will post my progress in a week or so.

Pros:

all natural used to cure many other things

I think you have to use the organic kind for best results. I did think it was weird to try somthing that had the word "oil" in it but it feels so smooth and im big on natural organic stuff lol

Moisturizer
I use 3-4 drops as a moisturizer twice a day after washing, cleansing, and applying green tea ( I only do this in the morning). It makes my skin feel soft. Not dry, not oily. Soft.

Pros:

Barely works

Cons:

- Ineffective
- Leaves oily shine on skin

I've been using Desert Essence jojoba oil for over a year now and I can confidently say that it was a waste of money. It only achieves the bare minimum of keeping my skin from getting any drier than it already is, but the moisturizing effect is pretty weak. For example, my cheeks tend to get dry a lot, even though I don't wash them. I applied jojoba oil every day and still no change. The most my cheeks get is a splash of water twice a day, and the jojoba oil wasn't even enough to counteract that! If it can't withstand the drying effects of plain water, it doesn't have a chance against seriously drying products like BP. It doesn't absorb into the skin either, like a good moisturizer is supposed to do. I can spend 10 minutes rubbing it into my skin and it leaves my face looking oily and shiny, which is a problem when you want to go out in public.

Pros:

Only have to use a few drops so it lasts a while. It soothes tight dry skin after your application of acne creams. Controls oil and dryness...awesome stuff!

Cons:

Wait like 10-15 minutes before appyling make-up or leaving the house. It can give your face a greasy look.

This is a very good product for all skin types! Just add 3 drops of the jojoba oil to your regular moisturizer...tada!

Pros:

Nothing will help clear the skin more than this!!

Cons:

i am thinking hard, but even if u feel slight bit greasy in first 20mins, who cares?!! When u can get clearer skin...

I was sceptical bout using oil, and i have stubborn acne on my cheeks. I have been using it abt 3days now and the less stubborn acne on one cheek has healed abit, so i presume take abit more time to heal. The acne on my other cheek is v stubborn but i know i will see healing on that side after some more usage.

Pros:

Effective

Cons:

Very Expensive

Jojoba Oil works really well for me, even better when I add some tea tree essential oil to the jojoba. The one problem I have is that the oil from Desert Essence is SO expensive. I've now switched to using Wellspring Ecologics organic jojoba which cost me like half of what I paid for the D.E. even after shipping and which I found a bit more silky on my skin. Does anyone else use essential oils in jojoba? Any suggestions? I'm thinking of trying lavender.
