After reading great reviews about Jojoba, I decided to use Jason Jojoba oil to help clear up dark spots and blemishes on my face as I've tried every product under the sun. It's only been a week, but thus far, the blemishes are reducing in size. I hope and pray that it helps lighten up the dark spots in time for summer.

Pros:

Best product i have ever used! Period. Too bad i descovered it so late, at 29. I have terribly oily skin and this balances it nicely and OH MAN, it really makes my skin look smooth and clear!I had BAD excema to and this is the ONLY product thatworked

Cons:

NONE!

Again, best product. I CANNOT BELIEVE DERMS DO NOT PUSH THIS ONTO THEIR CLIENTS. THAT IS AN ABSOLUTE SHAME AND VERY IGNORANT OF THEM. Not only is this a product that works better than any i have used before it, but it also has NO side effects. Just amazing. I am not sure it would have worked as well to clear my acne when it was at its worst (age 20 to 26) but it was still at an unacceptable state to me 4 months ago, and ever since using this product, i am happy with how my skin is improving on a daily basis. By the way, Cetaphil cleanser is also my number one choice.... better than spectro jel.

Pros:

I have tried TONS of acne products and moisturizers, and this is the first treatment that really seems to work for my skin. I have sensitive combination skin, and the Jojoba Oil has balanced my oily areas and made my skin glow!

Cons:

None. Affordable, non-irritating and easy!

Try it! Buy some pure Jojoba Oil, apply a thin layer after cleansing and toning, let it sit for a minute and then gently rinse (just a little) with lukewarm water and pat dry. I was skeptical at first, and I thought it would make my skin shiny, but it leaves your skin soft and glowing all day long. I use it day and night and couldn't be happier! Thanks to this site, I've found my perfect and affordable moisturizer!

HORRIBLE for oily, sensitive, acne-prone skin!
I bought the Desert Essence 100% pure Jojoba oil. As soon as I used it, it broke me out everywhere. Huge red pimples and SO MANY white heads. I stopped using it for a while just to find out what broke me out, as I hear everyone raving about it. I used it again a few weeks later and it did the same thing. So I stopped using it completely. I started using a lip balm recently from seba med, and as soon as I used it, it broke me out all around my mouth, chin and cheeks because the lip balm contains Jojoba oil. Would NEVER recommend it!!

That's because that's a cheep one. It's known for breaking people out. You have to get a good quality one or else yes it will break you out.

Everyone reacts uniquely to jojoba oil just as they do to any product for skin. If its 100% pure jojoba oil then I doubt you brokeout because of the brand lol. Try using hemp or argan oil before giving up on oils in general. Jojoba oil is usually great for multiple purposes but some folks simply don't tolorate it well. Good luck Dee6754!

Great but not on its own
I started using jojoba as a natural option of moisturising at night, first off I experienced that it neither made my acne better or worse. However, I felt the rest of my face really glowed. Its a lovely moisturiser! The two important parts: 1. Massage! I feel this was the part that was most important. I spent at least 10 minutes massaging the oil into my skin, which was relaxing and of course helps blood flow and absorbtion. 2. Add other "active" oils to it. You will get more from it. Lavender, clary oil and of course tea tree are good options. Im now adding a few drops of tea tree to my jojoba and I feel it is a much nicer way of using it then neat as I ususlly do with tea tree. Give it a go! But remember jojoba is not actually an acne treatment.

I have to disagree with it not being an acne treatment actually. I have tried product after product after product for my severe acne and since moisturizing with jojoba oil on its own, it has been the only thing that has cleared and kept my breakouts away. I guess everyone is different though. Works wonders for my acne.

Not so sure...
I do believe that this could work for some people, but it will cause a purging period. I used it for a couple days, and I got a couple pimples from it and after discontinuing it, got new clogged pores a couple days after. I got so scared and dont plan on trying it again. It is worth a shot though, just didnt work out for me, unless that is the "purging period".

Unless you're using active's leg BHA AHA or retin A your skin doesn't purge. That's a myth. Actives cause you to purge because they speed up cell turnover a hobo oil does not do that.if you're breaking out while using it after a week...stop.

More breakouts
Just one more thing that did not work for me. I am now battling acne and wrinkles. Does anyone know of a moisturizer I can use? I have tried so many.

Pros:

Reduces acne
Reduces redness
Makes skin feel smooth

Cons:

Causes bumps on forhead
Not very absorptive

It made me feel very hopeful for several months, but it can only go so far, it seems. I suppose I shall have to try something else, perhaps with it.

Pros:

Calms acne prone skin, reduces oiliness?

Cons:

makes skin look shiny/oily when applied, best to just use it at night

Alright i tried something new with jojoba oil. I used it on my body to treat body acne. It's only been a day or two and my body acne has calmed down a lot. It's starting to look like normal everyday skin, which is awesome cause no matter what my skin always had a little redness to where acne usually forms. I put some jojoba oil (at night only after showering) in those areas and when i wake up my skin looks refreshing and normal! the redness is gone and best of all the acne is reduced. If i notice a few pimples coming i just use Dan's BP and maybe a little AHA and then put some jojoba oil over it... I'll report back to see if this continues to work... As far as using it on my face, i just hate how it leaves an oily residue. I've only used it for a day or two so i'm waiting to see if my skin gets less oily, and YES i have VERY oily skin... wish me luck guys
