It's ok
I used honey and lemon, the honey is great because it has anti-bacterial properties which can help prevent breakouts, I believe this did help with my breakouts a little, however nothing drastic... I used the lemon because it has bleaching properties and I have acne scars, so I was hoping it would fade my scars, however I tried it for over 30 days and didn't see an improvement with the scarring. The honey however, did make my face feel wonderful, it was really smooth. I'm no longer using this since I don't really have time, but if you're extremely prone to breakouts I definitely recommend the honey mask and leaving it on for about 30-40 minutes 3/4 times a week.

wow! i don't have terrible skin, but my problem is whenever i get a zit or even just a sort of large blackhead, i pop it. sometimes its fine, and sometimes it turn into this mess of a scab that takes forever to heal. i had some of these horrible scabs at once, and i neeeeeded to find something to heal them, quickly. so the day before yesterday, i decided to try the honey mask. i left it on for about 2 hours, took a shower, and applied olive oil for the night (the olive oil part is part of my routine). i woke up to disappointment, there was really no change. but, i had no other options in mind, so last night i tried it again, same exact routine. i woke up, examined my skin, and was shocked. ALL redness had gone down, my skin was soft, glowing, my pores were smaller, my skin just looked 10x more beautiful. i'm going to do it every night from now on, i love honey!!!! problem is, you have to keep it on forrevverrr which is fine if its just a weeknight but if you wanna go out and you really don't want people to see you with it on oh also i just happened to have raw unprocessed honey in my house, but that is the kind you should get and apparently its pricey..

Pros:

Cheap
Reduces Redness
Smooths Skin
Smells Good
Reduces Scaring
leaves skin glowing

Cons:

A little messy

I'm 19 and have been suffering from acne since i was 14. I've tried almost everything and so far this is my favorite. I used a pure honey, cinnamon and nutmeg mixture (smelled like Christmas :) ), and just after one time i could tell the difference I left on the mask for a bout 15 minuets then put on a face moisturizer after wards, left my skin feeling amazing. There is still redness and acne, but I've only been using it for about a week. My skin is quite sensitive and I'd recommend trying this to anyone

Pros:

Non irritating, Natural, Anti inflammatory, Anti bacterial

Cons:

Messy, packaging

I have never, NEVER had results like this so quickly using anything and I have used about everything. I wash my face w/ a mild cleanser and then apply a layer of honey (Get raw, organic, unfiltered honey and not the crap in the honey bear.etc) as a mask...I leave it on for as long as I want and then rinse off. Redness and Inflammation is instantly reduced Give this a try!

Pros:

Reduces redness
Soothes
Softens skin
Not drying

Cons:

Sticky
Drips if put on too thickly (I put a paper towel in front of me to make it less messy.)

I've been using raw honey several times a week for the past few weeks; I am using it more frequently now that I've seen how well it works for my skin. Unlike many other drying things I use, it is not irritating or drying. Since my skin is very sensitive, this is a wonderful thing! I put it on about 20 minutes before bed and wash it off when I'm ready to sleep. If I also put a little aloe on my face afterward, in the morning the swelling and soreness of cysts have gone down significantly.

Pros:

- Cleared up spots after only one use.
- Left skin feeling very soft
- Tightened large pores

Cons:

-Very sticky
-left skin slightly pink for a while
-a bit itchy

The benefits of this treatment far outweigh the problems if you have skin which responds well to it. Not for everyone but worked great for me using ordinary runny honey from a jar. Used a few times because I thought it might work and it definitely did! Much quicker results than other treatments and does not dry out skin as much.

Pros:

Great natural antibacterial remedy for acne. It brightens the complexion, leaves skin soft and radiant.

Cons:

None, once you know what kind of honey to use!

One suggestion to avoid the mess from honey: try the honey that comes in a jar. It's thicker than the bottled, squeezable one. I find that this honey stays on my face and doesn't run or drip. Great mask with honey: mix honey with some salt, cinnamon and lime/lemon juice (just a little, otherwise it will be too runny). The salt will act as an exfoliator which will scrub away all the impurities and dead skin cells. Cinnamon is antibacterial. And the acid from lime or lemon juice will brighten the dark spots and acne spots, and will even out your skin tone. I scrub my face with this mixture about once a week, massaging the face with circular motions, and when I'm done, I leave it on for about 30 minutes and use it as a mask. I hope this helps guys! I had really bad acne, and this method really cleaned up my face. Not only is it natural, but it also removes the dead layer of your skin, unclogging your pores and revealing the new skin.
